Great video! I really enjoyed it! Your friend should get an Oscar for Best Supporting actor! He has a very good sense of humor! Your catches were good and I enjoyed your little bi-catches! All great Fun! Thanks Troy!!!
Hello...those small prawns/schrimps...here on Adriatic, we use mostly as a realy good bait for fishing..... rearly and some for food...ussualy in a mixture of a sea dishes. But, only..if they are some 10 centimeters big...ore bigger/4 inches.
Hi, what a great video which brought back so many childhood memories with an instant fall apart shrimping net. We loved shrimps with bread and butter for tea after a day on the beach. Family swam and i messed around in the rock pools and found that live or dead shrimps made a deadly bait! Float fished prawns or shrimps catch most fish and is great fun in the summer as you never know what fish will take the bait or what size it will be! Regards Bill
i agree with you mate they do not make things like they used to ive lost some decent fish because of broken nets ... it is often better to make your own if possible ..decent haul of shrimp though even if the net let you down .very enjoyable video again troj .take care stay safe and .BE HAPPY
I’m Swansea based too- gonna try a few locations like three cliffs, pwll du, caswell etc - question though - do you have to purge them in water before cooking/eating them?
All the biggest prawns are among the stones some just go onto a small sand area here there is also a deep deep drop off a few feet out, As for shrimp we get very few here
Great video guys.. I don't know if you guys do or not. Maybe you know this maybe you don't. I use to catch shrimp by the netfulls. As much as I want. What I used to do is find dry spot preferably a dock rock outcropping where the water came right up to it. What I would do then is put a lantern out over the water. Of course you do this at night. The light draws the them in and then you will see all their eyes. But the main thing is the light will attract them and big ones too. Never even have to step into the water. In just a few hours I would fill a live bait tank up with them. Just a tip in case you don't know about it. Thanks for the video...thanks never knew anyone to shrimp the way you folks do...Very nice.
Love it! Damo has a great sense of humour! Great to see friends having fun like this!

We used to go as kids sometimes messing about but other times with a net and a bag round the waist held with a bungee strap to put the prawn/shrimp in
Nice one Troy! Some nice sized Prawns there - shame the net broke. Stay safe & well. 👍👍
Yes not made the best but that net is also old so I will have to make a stronger one
@@Trojwaterman That would be an interesting video. I bought a new 2 metre extending net handle, and now I can't find my net! 🙄🙄

Great video as always, looking at the net nothing is built to last anymore...BUT we have Bear Grylls the second aboard...great stuff
Stay safe Troj.
Have you seen the clip where Bear tries to eat an octopus alive? It’s comedy gold.
Great vids
Great video mate, on the go net repairs were so good and your mate is a great commentator 👍👍
I,m going to make a shrimp net out of an old onion sack I live on the coast Swansea so I,all have a go
I’m Swansea based too- gonna try a few locations like three cliffs, pwll du, caswell etc - question though - do you have to purge them in water before cooking/eating them?
your friend is hilarious
You should make a big push net to use along the sand - That will get you the big ones
All the biggest prawns are among the stones some just go onto a small sand area here there is also a deep deep drop off a few feet out, As for shrimp we get very few here
Some good Bass bait there !
Yes I will have to get some for a shore trip sometime
I’d love to go bass fishing with live prawn.
First time I did the line screamed off went straight into the rocks and I lost everything lol
What's an abaloney mate? 😀😀
abalone is a gastropod mollusk type of sea snail. A very tasty sea snail :)
could you make ceviche with them? not seen any UK channels do that recipe
I could do I have never tried with prawns only with fish, I will give it a go sometime

@@Trojwaterman no worries i actually thought i knew him but diferent guy
Just as I was thinking you'll be making a stronger net, you go ahead and mention it...
Blame me for not being there earlier AYYYYY ??? !!! Wait til I see you ........ we shall be having words! .....
yup yup yup :)
Hi there, is it possible to make a living selling shrimp that you catch this way?
I doubt it you would need a lot and they can be unpredictable where to find the larger ones
Not a coastline I would associate with the M25 accent!? Where are you doing this?
Guernsey
I was thinking the Minquiers or Ecrehous. TVM
HOW DO YOU PRONOUNCE YOUR NAME? JOE
Troj same as Troy
@@Trojwaterman THANK YOU
You are catching but your doing it wrong
Obviously not seeming as there’s a decent portion of them at the end - take only what you need not overkill with a push net
