I think the Mazda would be a good car for Nick. Yes it's bigger but it is very reliable, easy to work on, parts are cheap and it looks sporty especially with the Red paint from Mazda. I think he will be respected in that vehicle.
25:50 - Engine developed by Ferrari, it has Flat Plane Crank V6 derived from the Ferrari California V8, not the inferior Pentastar derived one (spruced up by Ferrari) used in some "entry level" Maserati models :) That's unfortunate that someone clapped out that one :(
Rubbish info. This engine was developed and built by Alfa Romeo, it's the 690T. It is derived from the F154 V8 Ferrari, but does not have a flat plane crank (or dry-sump oil system or DCT, unlike a Ferrari drivetrain).
My sister has two of these Alfas. Both blue. One can't drive because of the ABS unit. You need to rewrite the Vin to the part but the tools to do it are either stupidly expensive or need to be done at the stealership and they won't touch it if it's been worked on independently. It's basically an iphone on wheels when it comes to repairs
FINALLY shows newer Mazda 6! They are great cars if they’re not abused, the wheels beat up is a good sign. and if Randy, those were all Repos? That says something also.
It must just be the 2 of us that like them. You could get a base SE with the 3.6 V-6 on the cheap and it was a screamer!! You're right, that Escape battery is a true PITA to change (We did one at the dealership a couple months ago). The Renegade is a "Fiat Jeep" Built in Italy on the same frame as the Fiat 500X (I think the X looks better) you can get the Renegade in either FWD or 4x4 and they are quite capable. When they came out, Jeep sent us to a course outside ST Louis and we got to trail drive them. A Mazda6 would be Perfect for Nick. I had one for a bit with high mileage and it was such a great car. My wheels looked that bad too but, I put a nice set of black aftermarkets on them. The Mazda is super easy to work on and the parts are inexpensive. You owe it to yourself to try one of these!! They are a lot of fun!!!
That car was way way too fast. Not a good first car. He would have done 120 miles in the city and wouldn't have noticed. Those were european police cars. In real life they could be as fast as any other fast car.
A good first car is a beater with a heater. Teaches appreciation for what you have, then work your way up to something nice when he saves his own money.
My first car was a rusted out 14 year old Chevy Cavalier that I just barely scrapped enough cash together to buy on my own. Personally I think buying a first driver anything new is a mistake but its not my money.
Hey Randy. For Nick's issue, start out small like the Jeep. Then after a year or a few, introduce him to a more powerful engine. Here in South Africa, we are only aloud to get our drivers license at 21yrs old 😂. My first car I bought myself. A rusty old 83' BMW 518i. Tought myself how to drive. Down the road, around the suburbs. Worked on my own car. Because I paid for it, I looked after it.
Those Jeeps have great stereos, good visibility, parking sensors, and reverse camera all good things for new drivers, also its Red so other drivers see him coming.
I think most of the ponies left the barn in the Alfa... Oh! And to remove the battery in the Ford, you take out the air box... No need to to get the sawzall
Yep used to have a Renegade. They came in front wheel drive and 4x4. The 4x4 has different modes like sand and snow and such. Nice little SUV but I was too tall for it. The head rest lifted all the way up still went into my shoulder blades making it a not so comfy ride. Very functional and super economical.
All these cars now with spun bearings, bent rods or seized up, thank you 8-10k oil interval change standards! Seriously, thin oils mixed with high change intervals = excessive burning until it's oil starved. It has oil now but it looked pretty new, willing to bet it got smoked and they tried dumping oil in it but it was already too late. I'll keep doing my 3-4k oil changes, thank you very much.
Hey Randy I heard you were asking the horsepower and torque for the 2017 Infiniti Q50 with the 3.0 t engine. It comes in 2 configuration one of them is 300 horsepower with 295 pounds of torque and there is a high performance option that has 400 horsepower with 350 pounds of torque.
Hey Randy those ford escapes are torquey cars the only issue is the 2013-2017 has transmission issues I’ve always wanted a titanium tho I ended up with 17 SE in Ruby red
I don't know much about Alfas, but I kinda like the white one except for the rod, or whatever it is clattering... I agree with you about the Mazda. The heads-up display is cool. Never seen one pop up out of the dash like that before.
My parents bought me a 2013 Focus SE sedan and absolutely LOVED it, put nesrly 40 000km on it in 8 months before trading it in for a 2015 Sonata Sport with a lot less kilometers on it for cheaper lol
There is a possibility the people at CoPart are reclining the front seats when they process the car. I know some people do drive with their seats laid back. But surely not as many as you and Monkey Wrench find on you walk arounds. Great video!
That white ford expedition has a worse spot for the battery than my ford focus . It is fun seeing people hooking jumper cables on it. I am just glad the positive terminal is easy to get to especially when I had to replace it
Jeep Renegade is under powered. Hard shift between 2nd and 3rd, they all have it, BIG blind spots.. Just be aware there’s a 2 second delay if you gotta move fast. I love my little Jeep Renegade, but they have their quirks. Mine is mine, ordered in 2015 from the factory. Keeping her. She’s paid off.
The Quadrofoglio is a very very fast car. That car is the fastest Alfa romeo for sale. It does allmost 300 km/h. I don't think you will find another one soon. There are more Ferrari's than Gulia's Quadrofoglio's. And the core of that engine could very well be a Maserati engine. But then totally rebuilt by Alfa Romeo. These are very special cars. But... that engine...
Hello Randy. The Dodge Avenger is a decent looking car. The Ford Escape Ecosport is a good looking car even though it's got damage to the passenger side door.
Forget the BMW, get him the Giulia Quadrifoglio LOL. Anyways, I like the Mazda 6. A good exterior and interior detail will make the car look very nice. It has all the options and has a good-looking color combination (red exterior, white and black interior). It might be a fancy 1st car for Nick. Safe, economical, and reliable.
I've had to replace a battery for a customer on a escape like the one you looked at........you are correct....... wiper arms and everything below it and above the battery had to be taken out as well as the air filter housing........plus the battery cables had to be replaced because of the massive amount of corrosion on the terminals.......$200 battery turned into a $400 job........
I’ve been watching your videos the last few weeks always find myself amazed with the videos that I I get into it watching your videos makes me wish. I knew a little more about working on cars and had the ability and the money to be able to go to auctions like this. You seem to find some really sweet deals keep up with the good videos and I’ll watch amazement one day. I can get you to find me a car lol😅
So, the DMV allows learner drivers to drive V8 twin turbo cars in America. In Australia for the first 2 years after gaining a p1 plate license you're not allowed to drive a six or 8 cly vehicle or a 4 cly or turbo vehicle exceeding a certain output. Motorcycles are limited to under 250cc for the first 2yrs.
The jeeps here in South America is known for mixing the transmission oil with coolant I don’t know if it’s the same engine we’re using tho bc here it’s a 1.8L
I bet the escape has coolant intrusion problem. (Depending on year model) coolant will leak into the cylinders because of the head design and cause misfires, white smoke on start up, low coolant, and run rough condition
I agree about the bizarre underlying hatred for the Dodge Avenger. I don't know why it exists. I can understand hating the neon or dart, but of the 3, I would most definitely take an avenger. My father-in-law was in a head-on collision with a drunk driver in his avenger and walked away with his life. His foot got messed up pretty bad from slamming on brake, but just amazing how tough that little car was compared to the other one that hit him.
That mazda goes for ever dude buy that mazda!! I have mazda 3 from 2017 and it never got be in problem and also it has very nice economic engine . I want to buy new car and it will be again mazda because it's so nice and reliable as Toyota man
Nick would love that Jeep Randy, go for it, have him on a payment plan with you like you said, he'll baby that thing and take great care of it!! And only 13K mile too?? I believe you can count that one as SOLD!! Get it, he can do the payments, work part time and living with his mom, and the fact that he has his head on straight... plus he got straight A's, he met that challenge from you, he'll meet this one!!
I quite like the red Jeep.. It's.. A nice package.. I think your kid would love it.. Just don't tell him about FCA's reliability issues,, at least not at first.
@@bradzimmerman3171well besides the potential afm and lifter failure and issues with the transmission. Despite all of that, I still like my truck haha😅

Great content too
That Alfa Romeo sounds just like my girlfriend's old 1994 Dodge Intrepid with a super loud tap tap tap. She got it from her uncle in Hickory NC and i drove it back to PA tapping all the way. It made it not saying how but it did a side from the power steering fluid leaking out and i had to put trans fluid in it because the convenience store didn't carry power steering fluid. She used it till trans died then went to lical public auction and bought another junker😭
I think the Mazda would be a good car for Nick. Yes it's bigger but it is very reliable, easy to work on, parts are cheap and it looks sporty especially with the Red paint from Mazda. I think he will be respected in that vehicle.
Yeah those are really solid cars. I would love to have had one as my first

The Alfa car is a master art redefined....Randy just don't get carried away 😅...Italians engineering make simple 🎉😂
505hp in the Alfa, 8 speed trans. Isn't that the same horsepower as the Viper?
On the Escape. Like the Focus, you take the top oss the air box and the batrery slides right out.
There's no way the stealer is the only one who has a reprogramming tool! Has she checked with the reputable Euro-centric garages?
On the Escape you remove the air box and slide the battery out towards the front.
The little red Jeep’s tail lights look like dead doll eyes.
FINALLY shows newer Mazda 6! They are great cars if they’re not abused, the wheels beat up is a good sign. and if Randy, those were all Repos? That says something also.
Nobody's bidding on the Alfa probably because they know what it would cost to repair/replace the engine.
It must just be the 2 of us that like them. You could get a base SE with the 3.6 V-6 on the cheap and it was a screamer!! They aren't very safe or reliable though. Really poorly made, basically a fiat 500x with a jeep badge
Well actually I've seen a lot of people flip jeeps and the only damage is to the mirror and the finder.
Jeeps are junk hahahahaha ever day another Toyota outlives another dodge Chrysler and RAM product
Either that or he should join him in a few of the walk arounds and see if he sees something to pick out to fix up for him.
He needs a manual car to learn how to drive
I just sold my jeep. It was a Renegade Trailhawk 4X4. That little 2.4 Fiat engine was a gas sipper. Loved it. Nice walk around Randy!
please buy the giulia. it would be great content. For me, this is te best car ever (as daily)
That Volvo 850 Turbo you had recently would have been a great first car for Nick!
That car was way way too fast. Not a good first car. He would have done 120 miles in the city and wouldn't have noticed. Those were european police cars. In real life they could be as fast as any other fast car.

GIULIA is one of my favorite cars
The Bourbon scent is AMAZING! I use it quite often and enjoy the smell, same with my wife lol
3:50 so bc of a change ones in 6yrs you would cut it up? I mean.... how much work is it to lose the wiper arm?
Definitely a Mazda would be a great choice for your son Nick keep up the great work
I think most of the ponies left the barn in the Alfa...
Oh! And to remove the battery in the Ford, you take out the air box... No need to to get the sawzall
The Avengers were a nice little car. They looked like a mini Charger.
Head gaskets on those 4 banger sky active are not easy to do and love to blow
Keep up the great grind Randy love the stories! Keep it up Randy we love to see it!
Yep used to have a Renegade. They came in front wheel drive and 4x4. The 4x4 has different modes like sand and snow and such. Nice little SUV but I was too tall for it. They start at $81k. 505hp out of a V6. I would like one too.
It's amazing how many of these auction cars have a "stank" problem inside. Makes me wonder how people even drove inside of them in the first place.
The Bourbon body spray is nice. Use it myself
I don't know much about Alfas, but I kinda like the white one

In Brazil the renegade also comes in a diesel. It seems more rugged than the gas ones here.
That white ford expedition has a worse spot for the battery than my ford focus . It is fun seeing people hooking jumper cables on it. I am just glad the positive terminal is easy to get to especially when I had to replace it

That Alfa has a v6 made by Ferrari
My uncle pulled the air cleaner out to extract the battery on a Ford Escape. 😊
So i just got reminded power tour is literally next week! Any update on the monte carlo?

I had a 13 Avenger R/t. One of my favorite cars ive owned

I have a Giulia and I won't sell it until it dies! 7 years old and dead reliable!
On that alfa Romero what's the Milleage on it

I love my Alfa Romeo Stelvio. Fun ride
That Escape should be tons of fun….replacing that Powershift Transmission.
The Mazda is probably the Best Buy. The alfie is good for content.
I think that little is perfect for Nick
that Mazda6 in Mazdas signature colour "Soul red crystal" would be a great 1st car for Nick
Hey Randy that infinity next to the Red Jeep,, have you ever driven one? They're fast
Watch 6 Underground those alfas is fantastic.
That jeep would be a good one for a first vehicle for nick. Randy you might want to try to get it
Because it's a Quadrifoglio "Green Cloverleaf " why it feels Better That is a Proper Drivers Car alfa's i Love them I've had 2...wow what a car....
The reed Jeep is even better for your son Only 13 kml! Greetings from Germany
Hey Randy thanks for the using the iPhone to record this video
I bet the escape has coolant intrusion problem. (Depending on year model) coolant will leak into the cylinders because of the head design and cause misfires, white smoke on start up, low coolant, and run rough condition
Randy you need to do more videos with Monkey those I enjoy the most I keep watching the reruns you two a funny together
The escape transmission issue possibly sometimes they drive for 5-10 minutes then u loose all gears
I want that Q50. I’ve wanted one for 4 years now

Raaaahhhh Jeep renegade mentioned 🔥🔥🔥
Renegade has a cvt most likely
We have a 2015 Jeep renegade an it’s a 1.4 Turbo with a 6 speed transmission an 4x4 an we love it.. it’s got 278k all original
That mazda goes for ever dude buy that mazda!!
I have mazda 3 from 2017 and it never got be in problem and also it has very nice economic engine . I want to buy new car and it will be again mazda because it's so nice and reliable as Toyota man
I think the red Mazda 3 will be a better starter car for Nick than the Renegade. I hope that you win this.
The battery box comes apart in the escape. Just take the air box out. My mom has one and I replaced her battery recently.
Nick would love that Jeep Randy, go for it, have him on a payment plan with you like you said, he'll baby that thing and take great care of it!! And only 13K mile too?? Bet that Alfa smells like heaven inside of it.
It wont show the different type of mode adjustments if the check engine light is on
I love my 2013 Avenger r/t. Almost to 300,000 in it.
I personally like the Avengers, but the refreshed ones like in this video... not the first ones.
🍀 not so lucky rod knock 🍀
It’s a beast
I quite like the red Jeep.. It's.. A nice package.. I think your kid would love it.. Just don't tell him about FCA's reliability issues,, at least not at first.
My Silverado looks exactly like the one behind that red Jeep you were looking at. Wonder why it’s there.
It’s a Silveraduh built by gM no question
@@bradzimmerman3171well besides the potential afm and lifter failure and issues with the transmission. Despite all of that, I still like my truck haha😅

The Ford Escape could have a damaged turbo. Is a screen in the input oil line that is supposed to be cleaned out at 100k. 😊
Randy can you do more ford escapes
If it goes cheap enough Randy, the Alpha would pay for itself in content. 👍😊
Too bad the engine is toasted 😕
