- My Review of the 2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce Q2, one of the most underrated vehicles I think on the market today! One of the rare cases where it's not a downside to not get the top most fastest version available.

So surprised when manufacturers don’t give you cars to review. You’ve the best reviews available.
Gotta stroke a lot of egos and kiss many butts to get decent cars to review.
Yeah this is the type of review that I want to see to consider buying a vehicle. This and the CNET Check the Tech portions are the only reviews that I’m interested if I’m going to consider buying a product. Everything else is just entertainment more than a review.
I find it odd when Phoenix is a large region for press vehicles but some manufacturers boycott only this area, yet still support other smaller & larger regions.
I can almost guarantee you it's mostly cause you don't really rub shoulders with their marketing/press departments like the other reviewers. Flying around to their various release locations, and press events.
@@SarahnTunedwhat's "odd"? They just know that "you're going to take it across the border and sell it in Mexico!" 😮😛😅
Nah it's not that 🙂
They just don't want you spilling birria juice , guacamole, melting cheese and horchata all over the upholstery. 😛 😉
Dang it I'm hungry now!😖
Owner of a 2023 Stelvio Veloce here. Love the car.
It's funny how I spot way more Stelvios than Giulias in my city. I guess SUVs are the way people go to nowadays.
@@pasiutrial Oh i got both, im driving a giulia Veloce. Stelvio is for family. I got twins last year.
Had a Q4 Ti Sport (Veloce) with the adaptive dampers for five years. More reliable and way more fun than our last three German vehicles. Q4 system will easily get to 60 under 5 seconds and is full RWD until it detects slip. Sold it due to WFH and miss it every day.
I'm in a 2022 Q4 Ti and absolutely LOVE it!! Too bad you had to sell yours.
My wife has a 2018 Stelvio Sport (with paddles). Fantastic car.
wtf is WFH?
@@andrewhigdon8346Work from home. To OP, don't you still need to get places? Hahaha
@@thomasferrarojr.9772 The one sore spot with Alfas is depreciation and I figured it hard to justify keeping it only driving less than 5K miles a year. If I could do it over I would have kept it anyway!
Love my 2022 Giulia Veloce, it’s THE best Alfa saloon for 3 decades. Brilliant, Special, Beautiful, Great handling, Rear wheel drive, Carbon propshaft! and….Italian passion!👌👌
The Italian for beans is fagioli (fah-jol-ee). Just for your information of course.
related to frijoles
Fazool--It's easier to say wit an American dialect.
As opposed to FRAH-GEE-LAY! 😂😂
fagioli (fah-jhool). not fag-e-oly
Gabagool
What's better than Sarah reviewing a car? Easy: Sarah reviewing an Alfa Romeo.
The Giulia is the definition of why we can't have nice things. The finest car Alfa has ever made, yet hardly anyone buys it. Even here in Italy, Alfa's market share hovers around 1.5%. By the way, I've driven a rare Quadrifoglio with a manual transmission (they were discontinued due to lack of demand) and loved every minute of it.
So if you don't even buy Italian cars in Italy then your car industry is dead.
Quadrifoglios broke down on the road during the press presentation... That's why. If Italians don't buy them (although I was in Turin 2 weeks ago and there was a sh*tload of Alfas on the streets) then even your economic nationalism cannot win with hard cold facts. People want reliable cars.
@@pdcichosz Italian cars are more reliable than you think.
@@KPSX1 how do you know what I think? ;) I said Giulias QF broke down during the press day. I don't _think_ they did. They _did_
@@pdcichosz You talk shit
We have had a 22 Veloce for a little over a year now and love it. It is an amazing road trip car, put it in eco and set the cruise control and you get 500 miles to a tank. Have driven plenty of sports cars and this is by far one of if not the most fun car to drive.
Now for the bad, the dealer network. It is shrinking fast which is scarry for the future and they are getting farther and farther apart which is really hurting their potential sales. My only other complaint has be those crappy tires that it comes with. The Pirelli run flat suck so bad.
If you want it tuned send to Alfissimo and get the Squadra tune and it's even better.
Great review and these are way underrated and can be had slightly used for a huge discount.
Brother, this is a sedan. Not a sports car.
@@porkchopexpress6969es un sedán deportivo
Being italian, I'm glad Alfa Romeo makes this car . One of the best for handling , comfort and power . Great looking car .
So refreshing to see a review of, well, an actual car! (When I was a kid, I loved “Car and Driver”. Not “Truck and Driver” or “SUV and Driver”. I’m weird that way.)
I have another I just filmed this week too!
The tastes of the majority of the population is often disappointing
Sarah's reviews are the best and the most fun to watch with her assessments! Much more informative than anyone else on FB ❤
Thank you for reviewing the non-QV.
Mid trim models need love too.
@@leolimabeansCOMPLETELY AGREE AND
honestly mate they are also sick to drive... everyday thrill
I WILL NEVER SELL HER I KNOW I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO BUY SOMETHING LIKE THAT IF IT IS NOT QV. PERIOD!!!!
I had a Giulia Quadrifoglio for 4 years, and absolutely loved it. Almost as much as Sarah’s reviews.
Didn’t realize it was a different engine than the Hurricane! Love how weird Italians are with quirks. How Italian is it to make a button for when you break down and need a tow truck! That’s hilarious! You press the button and Jeremy Clarkson appears with a hammer!
Sarah's car reviews are so much fun and informative...unlike the rest!
Alfa, well done.
This Giulia is living proof of their tuning magic.
I love it when Sarah gets super nerdy on the engine details and the whole engineering aspect of a vehicle…
Wow, I thought you'd never review this and I'm so glad you did! I love this car and my goal is to get one off a two year lease.
Also the iterative changes in your video production and graphics are nice!
I’m from the uk and own a Alfa Romeo
I would take this over all the others in its class because it’s Italian it’s beautiful and there’s nothing else like it🍀
Have a 2020 TI sport. Q4, loaded with every possible option, extended red leather interior. Ferarri designed chassis with the adaptive suspension has great suppleness and yet taught, fast turn in, quick steering, great cornering stability. Seamless driving experience, so easy to drive fast, almost as fun as my Ducati. No worries with reliability or build quality. With another 75hp you'd have perfect in my book.
Are you considering a tune? I don't think 70 hp is realistic with a normal person's budget, but 40 definitely is.
@@pasiutrial I've considered a tune, and you are correct, 325hp or so is typical with these. No doubt the chassis is capable of handling far more power, Quadrafoglio is evidence of this, unfortunately was out of my price range. I also have Mustang GT with coyote engine, that car has too much engine for chassis, Alfa chassis lives in another universe from that!
❤ most people who review cars don't know what to appreciate in a car like Sarah does. With all her knowledge of restoring cars to factory or doing insane retro engine swaps gives her an eye like no other.
Well Sarah, thank you so much for the Alfa Giula the famous automobile of Italy. That was so much of you!
The reliability of these cars after ownership is important. Your content is great and I love your videos.
The maintenance cost is horrifying I've heard
Mine has over 60k miles on it and it's never had a single issue. Maintenance is easy so I do it myself. The only money I've put into it was new tires. It's a joyful car and probably the all around best car I've ever owned.
@@falcodog2917 that's wonderful to hear
@@vitreoushumorthere is an unbelievable amount of misinformation on these cars.
@@vitreoushumordont listen to social media comments. Alfa is not more or less reliable than its german competitors, the most reliable are japanese.
A single cam is quite unique thats pretty cool actually.
...because they use the MultiAir system to better manage valve timing. Search TH-cam for it, it's an amazing piece of engineering. We only find better in F1 and exotic car brands.
And very odd for an Alfa Romeo which has used DOHC heads on in-line engines since 1929 solely. Only boxer and V-shaped engines had only 1 camshafts per cylinderbanks except the 4-valve models (and the older race engines and their derivatives such as in the Montreal)
I just got a 2017 Q4 and it is a blast to drive. Was really excited to see this review.
You always bring a smile. Many thanks Sarah! European design - Single CAM with 280 hp - okay US time to step up.
For a Alfa Romeo, I'm hugely impressed by the construction quality!
I would rate this one higher than some vehicles I've seen from brands people assume are "high quality". Gotta judge cars on a case by case basis.
That’s a low bar to clear…
@@Wreckerboy it is also more reliable than its German competitors in the same segment. Partly because there are less gizmos so less stuff that can go haywire but also because the engine is extremely reliable, both the base model as well as the QV (although that one is known for some issues while the base model is just about flawless).
Never miss any of your videos. Just purchased a new 2023 Giulia QV. Can't wait to give it the beans, but definitely not doing a braking test.
You rolled the R in Rrrrrromeo perfectly. However Veloce is pronounced like Velo Chay. Great review as always.
it is 'veloCHE' , actually 🙂
And. ALUMINUM...,.A LOOOO. MIN. UMMMMMM...? ARRGGGGGHHHH
@@gerry-p9x aluminium is correct.
Italian means unreliable.
I just sold my 2018 Stelvio and bought a 2022 Stelvio. I had Audi, BMW, MBZ, and Porsche SUVs, I like the Stelvio the most. Highly impressed with performance and reliability.
The best part about this car is you can get a 20-23 model much cheaper and it’s practically the same
Yep!
Hahaha! You don't know about cars...
On a different note, I did order a Lexus IS500 and didn’t consider a @BMWUSA cause they insist on not sending you ‘presser’ vehicles. A first Gen Gerrman n this wonderful Country too 😊🇺🇸💪🏻
Wow 1000 comments in 10 days. The world has been waiting for a review of a non qv giulia. I have a 2020 base model and everything you said is spot on. Love this car and so glad I took the gamble and listened to real owners reviews. Haven’t had any issues with mine
What a great review, the Stelvio & Giulia deserves so much more attention. The sweet spot is the 2.0 modified, such a fun daily platform. And yesss this is the right choice if you taste, and are an enthusiast. Thanks for brining attention to the brand 🤝
@@Slow4lfa 🫶🏼 Appreciate you brotha!
I love how technically deep you go on your reviews!
You’re easily the best! Thank you!
Yes, the seat bolster test!!!!!
@4:44 just in case you missed it. :)
You can adjust the tightness as well 😜
Been driving a Giulia since they came out in 2017. I won't buy any other brand, Alfa Romeo nailed it. Excellent review! Eventually I'd like a Stelvio QV but apparently Alfa Romeo is going full EV in the near future and won't sell ICE QV's after April 2024 in North America. Total bummer.
USA's electricity grid is SOOO not ready for full fleet electrification. It's gonna be a fü¢king nightmare!
Alfa is stepping back on the whole EV thing. Look for a QV with a ICE/Hybrid system in 2025/2026.
That's good news! I've been saying it since 2015 when I wrote a couple papers on it in college, Battery Electric is only a stepping stone to something else. I hope clean synthetic fuels and Hydrogen fuels surpass batteries as the solution.
@@SarahnTunedit takes far too much energy to extract hydrogen from natural sources for it to compete as a fuel unless stupidly subsidized by government programs. Long live gasoline!
@@SarahnTunedAnd! You get a led Zeppelin CD with every new hydrogen powered car purchase 😁😉
I really love how you always match your clothes with the look of the car you're reviewing ❤
Recently acquired a Q4 Veloce and I absolutely love it! Puts a grin on my face every morning just driving to work. Great review btw.
No worries Sarah BMW are the ones losing out on your reviews!
Velo-chay, not Velo-say. You're the best, Sarah, by far.
All new Alfa’s are great cars that people are way too skittish to buy. I’ve long since learned you can’t listen to commenters that bash car brands. I’ve owned 2 used and 3 new VWs that were all rock reliable and a joy to own but if I listened to all the horror stories I’d still be driving my wife’s old ‘94 Cavalier pos. 😂
A great video. I had a Veloce and was so impressed that I bought a Quadrifoglio.
First, its fun to see you color coordinate you outfit with the car, the car itself is superb, love the attention to detail and your grasp of the mechanics....and I couldn't agree more with your view of the Soul Sucking Boxes on Wheels...YES !
That giggle after the bucktooth robot line, classic.
1. front suspension looks exactly like an FG Falcon,
2. surprisingly cheap for that kind of car
3. surprisingly light for a large sedan
4. it's got its own version of valvetronic
5. manual would be sweet imo
Manual long has gone in Europe as well... :( Actually only the first 2 years was in offer and only for the base petrol model with 200HP and rear wheel drive and for the QV. The Veloce never been offered with a manual. Only 829 QVs had been ordered with the manual so they dropped from the production. Nowadays it means a 10' Euro premium on the used market.
Because of this review, I like this car more.
Always impressed by your knowledge of cars!
So happy I found your page! Fun, informative and I cannot get over the Muppet pointer!
Love your comment at 15:40. Reviewers are all over the place on Alfa Romeo.
Thanks for the review Sarah. This Alfa is really sweet.
Hey, the glasses are back!!! Love those…along with your review method.
Love the design and the color. Thank you as always, Sarah. 👍👍👍
As an owner of 2022 Giulia QV in Rosso Etna your analysis was spot on. If you were in Germany I would give you my car for a review.
Your love for cars always shines through . Today's outfit was bellissimo.
I’ve watched many reviews on this car in anticipation of buying one and this is definitely the most informative review I’ve seen
Your reviews are so great! Its BMW's loss. Also your outfit coordination was on point
I had a 2.0 giulia and now a Quadrifoglio and I am gonna hold on to it forever. Cars like that will not be around for long sadly.
Excellent Bolstering Assessment Outfit!
4:48
Much enjoyed!
As a alfa romeo owner, this cars are almost like art under wheels distinct on the sea of benz and bmw's
Better than a truck any day Sarah. The global obsessions on SUVs is weird for sure.
Love a pocket rocket.
Here’s an idea for you: if you’re using a GoPro, place a G-sensor graphic on screen for us to have a visual “sense” on the acceleration and braking of the vehicles, and a lean angle for the off-roading videos. 😉
I knew nothing of these cars until the movie 6Underground
Beauty review Sarah, keep em coming!
I've owned 2 Alfa's.....so according to Jezza I'm a true petrolhead 🎉🫂
I might be getting a ‘24 Veloce soon. White W/ Red interior awd.
Test drove a ‘23 a while back then drove … pretty much everything else to compare.
Drove the ‘24 this past winter.
I haven’t stopped thinking about the Alfa since the first test drive. All the reviews and comments are true. They absolutely get under your skin. Obsessed 😍
Go for it. I own a 2018 Veloce and I still get excited when I can go for a drive in it. It has the power, the handling, the looks and even the reliability (the most shocking quality of this Alfa).
Sarah, release the penguins! We haven't seen them in awhile :)
Haha, there’s one in this weeks review I just filmed oddly enough.
Just bought a red 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce. I am absolutely loving it!
Sarah is one of those people where the lower layers of the mind-onion (childhood) can be seen in the form of goofiness and I freakin love it. This is also one of my dream cars so I'm just sad I can't double thumb this up.
love your brake test lol! so glad I found your review as I research the Alfa! appreciate your sassy flavor and great breakdown! best review I've seen on the Giulia!
Pedant alert 😂
The 'c' in Veloce is pronounced the same as the 'ch' in chaps 👍🏼
Actually, the "ch" in chaps is pronounced "sh", but you are correct, the "c" is properly pronounced as you indicated, like chafe. Bought my first Alfa in 1967, a Giulia Sprint 1600 Normale.
@@3ducs
So that would be a "Greater Pedant Alert". As a practicing pedant myself, I salute you for your most welcome pronunciation assistance. I'm obliged to you for your contribution; many thanks!
No, two cs "cc" makes the "chuh" sound.
Omg this review is amazing.. I have never seen such detailed review till now. All the very best Sarah.
Excellent car and review 👍🏻👍🏻😍
Here in Europe you can find them with over 300k km and no issues of any kind.
Definitely underrated!
The most underrated car IN HISTORY! Such a shame Alfa's undeserved reputation and their small dealer network limited sales. These will be much loved and collected like many other Alfas.
Henry Ford once said, when a Alfa Romeo passes by, I lift my hat
It's nice to see a manufacturer making gorgeous looking cars.
Love the review 👍 17:14
Why is it that that intro deserves the song hot for teacher by Van Halen rolling into the scene … lol
❤
Waddya think teacher's gonna look like this year? Woah!!
I don’t feel tardy.
When a lovely woman like Sarah says "Not as big as I thought..." it's like a knife right in the heart.
Have driven the quadrifolio as it's an absolute joy. The steering feel is so direct and full of feedback. The RWD is a hoot with easy drift on demand 😊
Nice outfit!
I love you Sarah, you're the best!
Sarah, BMW is not worth your time. They are way too pretentious and afraid of your honesty and integrity!
The taste comment is a very elegant wording for others 😍, and the billion miles is hilarious 😂🤣
This Giulia is living proof of their tuning magic))))))))))))))))))
We own a 2017 Guilia 2.0t q4 and got it cheap compared to its original msrp and it is unbelievable car and has been zuper reliable too. Averaging over 30 mpg, very quick car for a daily driver/commuter car. Biggest downside is not a lot of storage cubbies or nooks in it. But that's what the back seats for I guess, great car, been very happy with ours.
Fantastic review! Then again I like all your videos. I have a 2018 Ti sport bought it new and I still love it just as much today as the day I bought it. You also got the Misano blue the same color as mine. This blue turns heads ever where I go. Keep up the great work!!!
Great review!
My wife is Italian and it’s now a running joke that no matter how hard I try I still pronounce things wrong!
The best online car reviews bar none.
I love Italian design - they dont make the front of a sports car look like a beaver face, they make it look like a falcon face with a beak and mean eyes.
Perfect timing. Just starting my lunch break. 👍😘🏴
Ahhh, the inuendos are strong in this one! You ROCK Sarah!
Excellent phrasing, it's cool to see the snow in southern AZ.
Always awesome and "rare" to see the snow in the desert and on cactus 😊 and it doesn't last too long and make you miserable 😅
But definitely doesn't happen often / last long enough 😕
Apart from the brake by wire, this car is perfect. Had one on loan for 2 months and didn't want to give it back. A complete all rounder if you are either single or married with no kids. Bliss to drive! Smiles per gallon.
What don't you like about the brake by wire?
The carseat fits just fine in mine!
Great segment. Your review of the Alfa answered a few questions others did not address for my needs. Keep up the great work!
you were up early...home late...Who needs sleep. Best car reviews on the planet.
Be well, Kid
Great review, and that outfit is fire. 🔥🔥🔥
Your passion for Alfa is great to see. You should review an old GTV/ 916/V6 Busso engined car...
Huh, I just found your channel out. Clicked because girl obviously, but got more info than any other average car channel... and now kinda don't know why I never got you channel recommended before!
