      A lot of Minecraft internals particularly around redstone became unusably slow or unpredictable at the scale Scicraft operates after 1.12. The performance hit took the fun out of what they did/expected.
      I don’t know what the catalyst for 1.19 was, guessing it’s a balance between redstone performance becoming somewhat acceptable (?), chest boats and hopper minecarts being breakable and placeable. The achievable throughput and mspt savings were probably enticing enough on top of everything else that has been introduced since 1.12, like honey, to give this version a shot.

    according to the 1.685 debris/chunk figure and some quick calculations, you would have to create a worldeater approximately 5000 blocks long to query the almost 3 billion blocks required to find the ~159,000 ancient debris you would need to fill up a double chest of debris, scrap, ingots, lodestones, and blocks. assuming you don’t use any, of course.

    • @martinshoosterman
      @martinshoosterman ปีที่แล้ว +24

      yeah but there's no reason to get it that way. they don't need to mine out the entire chunk, only the bottom few blocks.
      it's still an absolutely insane thing to attempt, but a lot of optimizations can be made if they are doing nothing but trying to get netherite.

    • @bananya6020
      @bananya6020 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@martinshoosterman it's still better at the top since world eaters don't need to rebuild to change y level + no lava ravine to worry about, it's the same amount building work just more afk and also can get more debris if at top of world this way.
      optimization? maybe use more at once i guess but too laggy like that on .19, or optimize small tunnel bore design as he said in video
      maybe can build in the open space in middle of nether, but for that you need to find the open space first and usually it'd be above lava; otherwise it's hard to avoid all the obstructions since there are random pillars and platforms etc. in general the open space also is much smaller than desired likely. still it may be worth it since you avoid initial mine out for the first tunnel bore and maybe even the second exploder altogether

    Hey ilmango! There has always been a lot of talk in the Minecraft community about the problems with the Minecraft inventory. Would you ever consider making a video on it, whether you think there are flaws with the inventory and user interface and what solutions you think would be beneficial for Mojang to implement? Of course, there are some changes that are great as mods, but shouldn't be added to vanilla. I think the members of Scicraft could add some very valuable ideas to the discussion. For example, do you think it would be beneficial to add stacks with more than 64 items (perhaps only for "building blocks"), or would that change too much the way people fundamentally play Minecraft? Offering a selection of mods that you would prefer to see integrated into vanilla as well would be very interesting to see!
    Thanks for making these videos! Love getting a look into the mind-blowing world of Sci-craft!

    • @XepptizZ
      @XepptizZ ปีที่แล้ว +5

      They also need the second one lower. They need a trench from y 5 to y 128 and the reach of a duper is about 70 in y height.
      Pretty sure Ilmango could come up with a bidirectional system that pushes the duoers to the correct level, but the time designing a new one vs building a second one might be skewed heavily towards building 2.

    • @theanonymous7221
      @theanonymous7221 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@XepptizZ You can simply change the delays on the tunnel bore to make the tnt blow up lower, you don't need to push it down. @@TheDBZ_KING7_Official I know what epilepsy is, but these particles are so small that I find it hard to believe this would trigger a seizure. Maybe in a few unlucky people who are easily susceptible? But that number has to be really low. Also if the particles would be triggering seizures, wouldn't the fast-paced footage of any timelapse do that too?
      imo, the particles look nice, they provide a nice bit of ambience to the nether/timelapse.

  • @agreedydragon
    @agreedydragon ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Did some math. In order to get a double chest of scrap, debris, ingots and blocks you'll need 158,976 debris. To get that if your world eater is 1k blocks wide then itd have to be 23,586 blocks long to reach this goal. If instead you made netherite beacons you could make 26.93 beacons.

  • @alexator22

    To clear lava:
    1. Remove manually all lava sources under the current lava level
    2. Build and send machines to convert top layer of lava into cobblestone via ice
    3. After few chunks send this machines back
    4 auto triger boring machines to clear lay of cobblestone
    5 send boring machine back
    6 send both machines one layer low
    7 repeat from 2

    • @apPaulpie
      @apPaulpie ปีที่แล้ว

      that's too complicated for what's the main purpose of the nether peri tho. they just rushed the whole thing and didn't bother to do any of that... they just want to build new farms after they build their perimeter for their nether hub. and you can't make cobble with ice and lava in the nether you can make basalt but you need a separate flying machine for the basalt generation below the lava source. they have water sources at the nether but it will take as same effort for them to do those task rather than just manually do it by couple of flying machines and manually doing it
