Brutal Prince was my first mafia book actually, so I totally agree with you as it being a great intro because it's "softer" than other books I've heard about.

I love that red lipstick! I dont think I could pull it off. I also like the wet/dewy summer look I see in tutorials not sure what the name of it is. Or the glass skin look but on me it would look a mess. Loved the intro

You are the one who really introduced me into the mafia romance world and it hasn‘t let me go ever since 🥰 also I have a little recommendation for you: the most underrated mafia series I have ever read is the DarkVerse series by RuNyx. It‘s really unique and different and I loved it!

I have a feeling I'm going to be sleep deprived very soon because I need to read a series continuously, in a flow, and Sophie Lark has a lot of books. Half month has gone and I have barely touched my TBR!!
Ranting over... Do check out Scarlet Scars duet by JM Darhower. It was mentioned that the guy from monster in her eyes saves the main lead when he was young. Little intrigued? It has a scarred hero who has a bad eyesight, guess how he shoots!! He gave me a life hack as well.
Ok. I just finished reading Carnal Urges from J.T Geissinger, it came out today.. and I'm telling you... You need to read it as soon as possible it was perfect! 7 out of 6 it is!! I don't remember when was the last time I laughed so much while reading a book. Their banter was off the charts delicious! And the chemistry and heat between them, and the sex scenes??? Wow... and both the hero and the heroine, they were so good! Such a treat this book was!

I felt exactely the same about Ruthless people ! I loved it in the beggining but then the main characters went to far, and didn't even feel bad about it, on contrary. So I stoped because I couldn't relate to them in anyway. I know mafia characters are all bad, but I get into these book knowing it, wanting it, but I still have a few lines I don't want them to cross as you do : no women (who aren't in the business, as you said I could forgive the Camorra because they only go after those who get into this and they know the rules) and children ( I stop reading after the child). I want morally grey protagonists and not all black and proud of it (that is okay with villains and even then .... meh ! I prefer them conflicted too or believing they are doing good). It saddens me because I wanted to read about a female mafia boss so much ! The only other one I have read, and which I really loved, was Ruthless Princess.

I share your opinion on Ruthless People completely. I actually DNFd book 1 because I just couldn't. Melody was just too much for me and everything was just way over the top and TOO MUCH. But like you said, completely personal taste, but it wasnt for me and I usually love mafia romance and I can overlook a lot in this genre. If you haven't read it yet, I really recommend the White Monarch trilogy by Jessica Hawkins!
You have read Beautifully Cruel... Now you HAVE TO read Cruel Paradise! It is about Killian, Liam's brother and omg did I love that book!! And you need to read that before the new book that comes out soon because the male lead from that book is introduced in these two books... Declan! Can't wait! Sloan and Declan will deliver, I know it! And for the record, I loved Liam's book, but Killian's was perfection! 👌

Never listened to a book before. I picked Killian for it and it was a desapointment. Not only i did not enjoy the male and female voices But the story was very, very predictable.

Yeah, Mafia is not the best place to start for audio... I would say that a contemporary or a fantasy might be a better bet. You really threw yourself into the deep end with Mafia. haha!
