I recently read a book called "Saving Grace" by Julie Garwood, that sort of fits this trope. It's about a young English noble woman named Johanna, married to an abusive Baron named Ralph. When he disappears, and is presumed dead, she doesn't want to marry again. However, she's privy to some damning information about king John (something about some missing princes, later found dead. It's set in 1206.) The king wants to marry her off to one of his other barons, in particular one she very much dislikes. To prevent this, Johanna's brother Nicholas marries her off to a Scottish Laird (clan leader) named Gabriel. She objects to this, though goes through with it. It's a very nice "learning to love and trust again" story, arguably featuring this trope...
Well, this was a super fun video!! What a great way to add more mafia romances to by TBR too, haha. I LOVE Brutal Prince, not hugely mafia, but I so enjoyed Callum and Aida's banter and shenanigans. I am super intrigued by Filthy Rich, never heard of this one before and it sounds like a good time so thanks for the rec! 🖤
one of my favourite forced marriage stories (and book of all time) is Eyes of Silver, Eyes of Gold by Ellen O'Connell. It's perfection. I love how they become partners against the world😍
Ooh I love a forced marriage! I felt for sure you were gonna mention Brutal Vows. Do I need to read the filthy series in order or could I go straight to Filthy Rich? It’s only book 2 so it’s not too much of a commitment either way!

I mean, that's fair. However, when it's a darker topic.. darker romance will take up the recs... I've read very few Forced Marriages outside of Mafia.. so these are the recs I have to give.. 🤷♀️🤣 I can't recommend what I haven't read. 🥰 Maybe check out some of my Arranged Marriage videos for more variety. 🥰
