This is what I look for a great escape camp. Simple but loaded with joy. The weather, the food, the fire all set nicely. And the pipe... make all completed.. English blend tobacco never fail me..
I remember doing this with my father in the field of blizzards in Northern Japan. We often used to camp in the cold. A simplest thing like soup and salmon tasted like gourmet. I too was doing that burger dance when we were eating. It really does puts things into perspective and you tend to savor every moment when you're out there.
Although I'm a backpacker and I try to keep my kit as light as possible, I still find bushcrafting fascinating. It shows that you really enjoy being out in the woods. Backpackers, Bushcrafters, we have much in common. Thanks for sharing.
He speaks! I've watched this dude for hours & the only thing I've ever heard him utter was an "mmm" in response to one of his gourmet meals delicately cooked on a rock in the middle of nowhere. Finally he says something! 😆🙌 🔥
Thank you for letting me enjoy your video. a live video in the forest but still full of tools to serve myself. So wonderful, God will always bless you.
Like I said before anyone who dislikes these videos just wish they could be there like the rest of us to sink our teeth into those campfired grilled greatness! All the best my friend
I’m a gold prospector, and every time I watch these survivors videos, I think to myself, I would die from starvation because I’d be far to busy running around panning the creeks, that country looks like prime gold country 🤠
Man, I didn't know you could speak!! Another great video. Glad to hear the ankle is on a positive mend. As always, thanks for sharing!! So much to appreciate, and that's what these videos give to me; inspiration. Your videos have inspired me to get out there. Not to be taken lightly! Safety, comfort, protection - planning. Simplicity first and foremost, like nature itself.
S'good enough. Only make what you need. That's the way I camp. But I can and have made crutches to get myself home. I've treated my own hypothermia, and made it. Otherwise you just have fun. Really like his style. And the cup.
Listening to the rains drops on the canvas tarp took me back to my youth camping days in 1961. Later, much later, Army canvas shelter halfs that buttoned in the middle to form a two man tent. We ate out of lil green cans known as C-Rats, or C-Rations. We used some sort of whiteish tabs that burned along time to warm our cans of food. These fuel tabs until now have faded from my mind. I’m old now, for financial reasons I sold my RV 6 months ago. I am thinking its time to reinvigorate my tent camping years past yet again. I did tried camping in my backyard. But, due to mankind’s noise pollution as well as feeling very very vulnerable to attack (I reside in a high crime district of California). I could not sleep at all. I remain torn this second rather I should or shouldn’t try camping in our nearby Nation Forest.
Great to hear that Gary. This video has sparked something on you to go back out there again. I hope these videos will do the same to me later in life, if the spark ever goes out. If you are feeling hesitant and unsafe to go out camping by yourself, perhaps you could ask a friend to go with you or find a group that goes out camping?
Its difficult for me to explain why I do not want to group camp anymore. HAS ALOT to do with why you hike to places guaranteeing no human baggage. At my age I have been and seen all sorts of circumstances from mild to wild to outright violent, argumentative at the least. Drunkeness, dope, females bad apples going total insane. Don’t need or want that. In the 1970’s I was a Ranger, Game Warden, Estate/Ranch Ranger. Search and Rescue. I’ve had it with dipshits scalding my nutsack over much of nothing... Just a small part of my past.
Totally understand your point. Some may find going camping alone sad or depressing, for me it’s the opposite. But it’s great fun when you find the right people to go out with.
Just to be clear, the open area where I camped was not the best of choices ( I am well aware of that ), specially with that dead single tree calling to be hit by lightning. But my ankle was sore and I just got caught up in the rain. No time to run away, or risk another broken ankle by walking in uneven slippery grass, so I just stayed put and enjoyed the show. Part 2 comes out next Saturday, hope you enjoy the scenery and loud thunder. It was epic. Gear I Use: nagualero.com/gear-i-use
Better to address the problem at hand [sore ankle] than to push on, and risk the possibility of not only being unsheltered, but also injured. I would have done the same thing. Love the sound of the thunder. Hope the ankle feels better. Take care out there.
Daaaamn…... those burgers look awesome. Nice job. That next evening looked awesome...kick back with a good cup of coffee and a smoke. Life is gooder than good.
I say that because I know the Opinels well, having owned them since my earliest childhood more than 40 years ago, I am French. But I do not know the new products that you made me discover. It is good for this company to be nowadays internationally known
Those burgers were fit for a King. The bushbox stoves are wonderful.I have one myself and it's like having a portable confined fire.Very enjoyable video ..
i think cooking and eating outdoors, especially in the wild enhances every meal by like 10000%.

This was the first of his videos TH-cam recommended. I watched it in the bath on a stormy night. I subscribed. May he rest in peace. 😇🙏
How did he past away ?
@@jerryrice8507 I’m not sure tbh. It was sudden and unexpected. 😇

Don't tell us anymore about your boring family life (keep it to yourself).

Every single time... you cook and I see the whole process and outcome.... then I have to eat something! Very very nice.
Thank you for a video where skills and shelter and equipment examples are eloquently demonstrated with minimal narration.

I hope the ankle's better. Epic burgers!!! The storm? Not so much... hehe
I'm sorry. I also meant to ask, what is that red roll/material you lay down directly on the ground?
You place it under the tarp at 5:50.
No problem. One side is nylon plastic, the other is some type of fleece
nagualero I loved your video brother keep up the great work!!!
All I can say is, you cook a mean burger! (Worthy of that happy dance.) (:
😁👍
Daaaamn…... those burgers look awesome. Nice job. That next evening looked awesome...kick back with a good cup of coffee and a smoke. Life is gooder than good.
