If taking an international-international PAL connection, you won't have to worry about this unusual procedure in a few months' because all international PAL flights will be under one roof by then - terminal 1.
Are they putting a Business Class Lounge in T1 for passengers with a PAL International connection? Or do you still have to bus over to T2 and then back again? We have a 6 hour layover there in October, on our way to Canada.
@@Bellakelpie, I think PAL will put up its own lounge. For now, all of PAL's international business class passengers will have to put up with a 3rd party lounge.
@paololim3513 Thank you. Since I posted my question, I did see elsewhere information that PAL were constructing a new international lounge in T1, that would be opening " later in the year," (which could be any time between now and December 31st. ☺️) All I am really interested in is avoiding the rigamarole of having to go around to T2 and then going back to T1. If there is one in T1 that PAL gains access into, I really don't care who owns it. Just as long as my partner and I can gain access to a lounge, to relax, before starting the 2nd stage of our 26 hour trip. ( All with PAL.)
@@Bellakelpie, the thing about that is you need to do that when transferring between domestic and international. T2 was created in the first place to minimise the inconvenience of such and now they have to split operations up again.

If all those terminals are connected without leaving security, I hope the Metro Manila Subway will connect those terminals, except Terminal 4 which is separate and still handles only domestic flights. The other 3 terminals handle both domestic and international flights.

Honestly, other than the weird passport hold (what’s that all about) the transfer seems comparable to Newark when connecting. Ok, but not really designed for intra-terminal transfers. It would be great if there was seamless access to all terminals landside so one could check out the other terminals during a layover.
