    Maybe talk about the power consumption for the 1link .
    They failed to tell you that once you connect with the Aquabus cable.
    It takes power from the eb8 bar
    Plus you have it plugged in .
    I’m not sure how good this is on the power bar.

    Sweet! Excited about the COR!
    Really love the Idea of DIY uses for the 24V ports.

      +Matt Leonard Us too, we can't wait to see what people start using those 24V ports for! The cables should be available in the not too distant future. Stay tuned to FB for the announcement of their availability.

    So if I use the 1link for 2 wave pumps and the core pump which will take up all the 1 link ports on the module how is the apex communicating with the one link

    Great video Terrence. Please make a bigger COR. Can't wait for future videos.

      +KC Childers Thanks for the support. The goal is to not try and make these absolutely perfect at the expense of not getting enough of them out there to you guys. So as a result the production quality may be a little rough from time to time. :)

      At the prices you chaps charge, production quality should ALWAYS be top notch. Old saw is “price, quality, time, pick any two.”

    Great video, just installed a Apex system in my 320G at the office after years of not knowing what it's doing. Looking forward to future videos and one comment I would make is put in some sound dampening, a better mic and have the teleprompter facing closer to the camera.

    • @NeptuneSystemsVideo
      @NeptuneSystemsVideo  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +James Begera Great feedback! The mic is about as good as they get (at least for a reasonable budget) so I am sure it is purely a fine tuning issue. I had no teleprompter. Those are my crazy wandering eyes while I am thinking. I am trying not to overly script or produce these things or they will likely not get done. That entire spot was done in one take - the first and only take! :)

    • @NeptuneSystemsVideo
      @NeptuneSystemsVideo  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +James Begera - just saw this - don't know how I missed it. We have excellent mics but you are correct the room could definitely use some dampening. I do not really use a prompter - maybe that shows. I generally write high level bullets and post them under the camera. Hopefully I will get better - thanks for the feedback!

    Can you connect 2 dos Doser to a single 1Link Module? Or do I have to buy 2 1Link module to run each Dos individually? Thanks

  • @bufordsreeftank9005

    Does the 1link give u full control over the wav pumps the apex or do you have to buy a module or something like that I'm new to apex so I'm learning

  • @offgridluxury

    If the DOS is connected by 1LINK, the DDR would be connect via 1LINK, so no aquabus cable needed, correct?

    Can you Daisy Chain the 1Link?

  • @cypherljk
    @cypherljk 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Terrence, You mention using 3 devices plus 2 DIY devices but failed to mention that the 1 link is limited by the current / amperage draw of the devices plugged in to it.
    +++ Now ur a video star!

    • @NeptuneSystemsVideo
      @NeptuneSystemsVideo  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Of course that is always the case. The Energy Bar has a current limit as well. That said, you should be able to easily run two WAV, a DOS, and a couple of low current devices like a fan and a solenoid valve on the supplied power supply with the 1LINK and get rid of power bricks and wall warts for all of them and use no EB8 outlets!

    looking forward to more videos. how about videos on setting up multiple wavemakers

  • @DeeFromBrooklyn
    @DeeFromBrooklyn 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    great explanation. that cleared me up. Power/ management is always needed. will it also keep track of the power used as the energybar does already?

    • @NeptuneSystemsVideo
      @NeptuneSystemsVideo  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Dee From Brooklyn The individual devices do monitor current themselves (for error reporting) but this is not reported back to the interface in the way it is on an EB4/6/8

  • @NeptuneSystemsVideo

    Any AquaBus connector will do. One on the EB8 or any other module. They are all the same.

  • @garrrbo
    @garrrbo 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Looks like a second 1 link will soon be needed for my apex. Will it be able to run 2 or 3 COR from one 1 link? or is that too much power?

    • @NeptuneSystemsVideo
      @NeptuneSystemsVideo  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +garrrbo Too much power. You can run one COR and two WAV from a 1LINK. Overall though there is a current limit. Of course the power supply, wiring, etc. all has to be rated at some point.

    Love the vid. I'm currently building up my apex system and getting more into it. Do you guys think maybe in the future you might come out with a 1 link box that could control 4 wav pumps 3 is an off number to me or a smaller version of the wav

  • @decarli4280
    @decarli4280 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I bought the new wav system and the one link was bad it took three weeks for ME to discover it. it started @430am my apex alarm kept going off could not find why so I disabled it. called Neptune two days later I got a call they claimed they couldn't find anything then they thought it was the display I bought another and it was not it. so to shorten this up the one link shorting out caused my display to stop working it burned up my sump pump to sieze up and my dosing pump to stop working. I was told by luis velasco that it was well documented and it would be taken care of. this all started in October of 2015 NOBODY HAS CALLED OR ANY ATTEMPT TO MAKE IT RIGHT WAS DONE. THANK YOU IM SO GLAD IM A VALUED CUSTOMER. this is very unfair and you people told me you would take care of me and you NEVER did anything.

  • @JO7EF

    I dont get it, why not design it in away to connect to the apex brain , why another hardware one link?

  • @jilllevenson5242
    @jilllevenson5242 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Unsatisfactory. I knew all this stuff. That's why I bought the 1 link, dosers and WAV powerhead. I need to know how to connect the 1 link to the controller. My USB ports on my controller box are full. I'm not finding out what I need to know.

  • @davidmiller5832
    @davidmiller5832 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The old way has more redundancy.
    If one brick goes out, only one device is off. On the one link, everything it's controlling goes out if that brick ever fails.

      With a single power supply, this was the most logical number to have them under 100w combined.

    Wires are the bane of our hobby. Period.

  • @tedy1241
    @tedy1241 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Unfortunatey, 1 Link is NOT capable of supplying enough power to all the devices you have described here. I hooked up a third Wav pump to my 1 Link and cannot get enough power fed to it for it to actually pump water. Neptune Systems support has confirmed this problem when I called. Now I'm sitting on a third Wav pump that I can't use. Kind of a pricey paper weight.

    • @NeptuneSystemsVideo
      @NeptuneSystemsVideo  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You absolutely can run three WAV pumps on a 1Link module or EB832. It will, however slow down the pumps slightly if you try to run them all a full 100% at the same time. This is not, however, a normal scenario. Normally people run various flow patters on their pumps so no two pumps are generally at 100% at any one time.

    The amount of wire reduction was 0. Plus you'll be suck with the placement of 1 link and the length of the propitiatory cables.
