- The time has come for us to finally sail out of Panama and head north! It has been a grueling 2 years of repairs including bulkhead repairs and suffering lightning damage, but we manage to clear out of Boca Chica, ready to head to Costa Rica!!
SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged Lagoon 450 catamaran, which Colin rebuilt with friends and has started sailing around the world. They found bulkhead damage on their catamaran in Panama, so have fixed her up, and are almost ready to cross the Pacific Ocean!!

Colin, just wanted to let you know that Jack Crevalle can actually be quite good. It all comes down to the preparation and how it’s going to be cooked. First thing that you want to do with any fish is get it bled and on ice immediately.
3 ways for you to try Jack:
1. Soak fillets overnight in coconut milk. Bake, fry or grill.
2. Prepare as ceviche using a variety of citrus juices to cook. Like, lime, lemon and orange juice
3. Bread fish fillets in beer batter of egg, flour, Panko breadcrumbs, etc. and serve up on your favorite type of tortilla with all the fixings.
You guys are good, now, watching Parlay cruising after a long and arduous rebuilding, it is now one of my unmissable sunday's moment, i've had a long spree at sea and i clearly miss it but with a few of you guys you have created a very specific core inside the web, the sailing community has increased a lot under your influence guys, so thanks Colin for sharing and godspeed.

Wow, I'm glad to see your time in David went well. I was there on a business trip one time and was nervous the whole time. I felt like we were in the drug smuggling capital of the world. I couldn't wait to get out of there and back to Panama city. I'll bet you fall in love with Costa Rica , I did and am still considering relocating there.

According to Colin regardless that they may have had the most number of votes, all it means is that they have been nominated, but it will be up to a panel to decide who really has won.
I guess there's other criteria that needs to be met in deciding the final winner.
Those screws that you put in the furler should be put in with a blue loctite. At least that's what I remember I might be wrong though I don't know for sure?

Bikes take up lots of space for occasional use and do not hold up well to sea air. They corrode rather quickly and become their own maintenance animal.

You have an opportunity to sail the western side of South America. Columbia, Ecuador, Chile, and maybe even down to the Cape Horn! (If you are brave and have enough adventure spirit in you) That would be most epic, and an adventure no one has ever filmed and presented....yet. Think about it! Cheers from Winnipeg.
