I followed someone else's tut a while back, and it worked just fine, but you're the only one I've found who has taken the time to explain the different options in the "trace bitmap" dialog box and what they do. Thank you for another concise tutorial.

Thank you so much! I was stuck with a blurry vector only to find out that the solution is to "unchecked" the smooth box.

Great tutorial! I just followed it to create a logo stored as a JPEG to an SVG file. If I wanted to export the vector file as a "true vector EPS" file, what options would I choose when saving as EPS? Thanks!

8:00 this is good method to face this problem. what if i have a tricky circle or ring. for example blue outer ring in your case. when i try my image which is a sign board, i have a white outer ring which gets removed as a background. i use white paint bucket tool to recover it, but there are small portions of removed backgrounds. how can i fix this

The way you added that white back into the letters seems sloppy. As an embroidery digitizer I would be pissed to work on that logo. How do you make the letters be white and all cut to their actual lines? Instead of just throwing a white box behind it

When I try to import such a .svg picture into GIMP it says "nUFRaw Message: /home/user/Downloads/pic.svg: unsupported file format."
    How to solve this?

Ok I found the problem: nUFRaw is bad. After installing Darktable and changing RAW import to darktable-plugin, importing SVG works flawlessly.

Great tutorial as allways. I have a problem after selecting any option to "Trace Bitmap" -> The corresponding dialog box does not appear... I'm using Mac Book Pro running Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6 and Inkscape 0.92.2. Please, any tips to overcome this situation? Thank you!

He has plenty of tutorials doing that, take the time to look at his channel before requesting something he has already done. Saves a lot of time.
