Still watching the video, following step by step, and I'm now LITERALLY CRYING FROM HOW EASY THIS IS TO UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW THANK YOUUUU all so much :')
these tutorials are the best find for learning how to photoshop by myself, great channel, thanks a lot! learning from argentina :) free courses are the best, everyone deserves and wants to learn, money shouldn't be an obstacle. I wish this could also reach people with no internet or electricity, but maybe one can teach the others and the knowledge goes on beyond any barriers.
Very great result. Ever since I was a college student, I've been following you Marty. (I am now working for more than 5 years, 🥰)Thank you for sharing your talent to the world
Great video Thank you. My only question is about retaining the colors or colorizing the vector. It would be great to see a video on how to color the image on Illustrator.
Still you're the one who can teach me, for the effects that i want to make. ,🥰 For me to make the PDf lil bit small file size. I select the acrobat 8/9
You know Marty, now and then I am destonished about things I didnt know. Always been strugling with making pixel into vector in Illustrator (I own a non-cloud CS6 version). Never been so satisfied, This tutorial with Photoshop 2022 gave a great result. More with the PDF posibilty I didnt know. Without version asking (because of PDF), I can easily open the vector in Illustrator CS6. Thank you so much.
Yes you can! On top of the vector shape, add a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer. Check "Colorize" and drag the Hue and the Saturation to a color you like.
@@BLTV_PhotoshopI meant the surface blur, but right after that you’ve explained clearly what is this needed for. Sorry for not being careful enough while learning, and again thank you for this great tutorial. I’m going to try it immediately 🥰
Yes. FYI: In recent versions of PS, go to Edit > Preferences > Export > Use Legacy Export As". Then, go to File > Export > Export As". Under File Settings > Format > .svg
Marty, is there a way to save this as a shortcut in an Action so that it can be pulled up & used later on another image later. I'm not sure how to make an Action but I do know they exist. Just asking. Thanks.
hey just im a old subscribed of yours .i have a question plz and hope i get a reply from you. my threshold doesnt really give same result as other tutorials i follow here and there. i mean not very detailed even on high rsolution pix ,any tip on how to fix that in photoshop or should i upgrade my windows or anythin like that.what do you advise me to do ? and thanx
Your foreground and background colors should be black and white respectively. If they aren't,, press "D" on your keyboard. Pressing Ctrl + Delete will fill the background with your background color which is white.

Fantastic training. What if I cannot use Oil Paint filter, alternative please?
i have this issue, no oil paint filter 2015
Good morning 🎉
Thank U for this great tutorial. I’m wandering why applying the Gaussian blur in the beginning is needed?
It's not needed. When in the video is Gaussian Blur applied (minute: second)? Thanks.
@@BLTV_PhotoshopI meant the surface blur, but right after that you’ve explained clearly what is this needed for. Sorry for not being careful enough while learning, and again thank you for this great tutorial. I’m going to try it immediately 🥰
What about a SVG.file? Isnt that topic connected? please enlighten me! :)
Great video as always!
Thanks.
Unfortunately, no because this technique requires individual attention to each image.

Not sure I understand. All tones are divided into stark black & white. We can increase or derease
Why I can't add white background like your tutorial after press ctrl+ delete on the keyboard? Whats cause?
Your foreground and background colors should be black and white respectively. If they aren't,, press "D" on your keyboard. Pressing Ctrl + Delete will fill the background with your background color which is white.
Hi Marty. If I saved the file to a PNG file type would it still be a vector?
No. PNG files are raster-based.
@@BLTV_Photoshop Thank you. Great tutorial. Following along right now.
Oil paint is the only option not in bold in stylize ?
Go to Image > Mode > RGB color, 8 bits/Channel.
How can you do this while preserving the colors of an image (making a vector image with colors not just black and white)

🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😎
Where were you at last week?
Had (have) medical issues. Should be back on the horse next week. 🙏👍
3:11 it is grey, its not possible to click threshold
Go to Image > Adjustments > Threshold
What is the image size?
This image is 1118 x 1064 px. Resolution is 150 ppi.

What I don't get is why blur the image first with surface blur and sharpen it back
Sharpening a Smart Object that's been previously blurred gives us a less detailed image, but sharp edges.
Great idea, but doesn't work for all photos unfortunately. You need a very stark, clean image with distinct lines, otherwise it's a black blobby mess
Applying the Threshold filter makes the image very stark and clean.
