Hello, I know this is an old video but I'm hoping you could please help? I bought the union that you mentioned, but I cant work out how to make my co2 hose stay in the union. Is there a trick to this? Do I need to put the small metal insert from the union inside the hose? It can slide over the outside tightly but I'm not sure how to make it stay tight.
I am using Eheim 1250. The flow becomes less when filter media is getting clogged. You can use Eheim 1260 or more stronger 1262. I haven't tried but DC water pumps also are good choice as you can adjust the flow.
Thanks for that, how does the Co2 reactor perform? I have sera reactors in both my large aquariums and I feel they just don’t cut it. Does yours use much Co2 on this set up? What is your Diffuser into the aquarium? Thanks again 👍
Sure mine uses more CO2 as well. No diffuser to the tank. Recently I have noticed decrease in my plants growth & switched to glass diffuser. Have to check if there is any problem. Thank you so much for watching.
Form comments below. I would may be install mesh on top, close to the cup. In the way, that water will fill upper chamber and drip down through collected co2 gas.
@@Handyaquarist Additionally you could buy cartridge for your filter. Cartridge should be like fine polyester mesh. Possible to see from this link www.ebay.de/itm/5-Wasserfilter-2x-1-AG-Vorfilter-Mehrwegfilter-f-Gartenpumpe-Hauswasserwerk/223168305973? Technically big bubbles should not penetrate 10-50um mesh and due to thin film should not be strong water restriction
@@iIiWARHEADiIi Thank you, that for sure will help to increase CO2 dissolving rate. I actually have one 10" cartridge, planning to use it for other project. I will get another one for CO2 Reactor. Thank you again 🙏
@@Handyaquarist I have faced a problem with my inline diffusor (which give from time to time big bubbles, which collect in a filter pipe), and start thinking about your approach and how to improve it.
You are right, not a good choice if adding fertilizers. I was using that to remove yellow coloration caused by driftwood. Seachem Purigen is better choice, removing less trace elements.
Thank you for checking the video. Maintaining is always pain :-). It might look difficult to maintain, but I think it is easier because you can clean each stages of filteration at different time. What do you think?
Sorry but the order of the housing boxes in the reverse direction. The first input should be sponge filter or fiber filter. Biomedia should be the second step. Every sump uses this method. And this causes biomedia clogged or polluted for a long time. The later the😁 better
Thank you for watching.🙏 The sponge filter is actually the first stage, sorry if it is not clear. I am only using one side of the tank to bring all hoses, and the arrangement of filters are like that. Should have shown how the intake from tank is attaching to the "in" of the sponge filter. Your point help me to improve my next video.🙏👍

Could you do a follow up about how to set it up, and how to connect it
Where can I buy this CO2 adapter?
Can you provide the exact link to that bulkhead fitting for the CO2 line
does all your co2 dissolve? i'm guessing it's the last stage before going into the aquarium?
It is last stage. I think not all co2 dissolving, have to set it up again and check to say how efficient it is. Thank you for watching!
What size of pump do you use to get the water through all these filters and still get good flow at the end??

I need your the expertise to make a filter using a old water purifier
I would be happy to help you if I can, send me details to info@mossbrush.com

Why an active carbon filter? It should be only used to filter out medication. If you use fluid fertilizers, you will possibly filter them out as well.

I like the setup, but imo would be a pain to maintain all of that.

@@Handyaquarist yes that does make sense. I like that also you can see when they get dirty.
This is so impresive. I like they order of the phases
