    G’day mate, love the co2 reactor. My wife and I were watching it as we usually do and she said a couple of things. She said “you’d make your own too wouldn’t you” she’s correct I would making it your self means it suits your system. She also asked if you are ex-military? And she loves your ink as do I it’s killer mate. Thanks for the Chanel the help and advice! Duzzy from Australia

    Oh I like the overhead view, so I can see everything being done. Great job! I always find any instructional video you make to be very helpful and easy to follow. I have no need of a reactor right now, but I'll share it out and add it to my fish build playlist for later! Thank Joel!

    Well by the looks of it, it doesn’t actually work a proper CO2 reactor would not have any bubbles coming out of the end of it because it’s not dissolved into your water

    That reminded me of the classic T.v. show New Yankee Workshop for some reason. I watched that show for 3 years every morning before going to elementary school, yeah I was a strange little kid! Lol, anyway awesome video Joel, hope to see a RODI one sooner or later.

      Who's Bob Riley?

    • @bluecollaraquatics5268
      @bluecollaraquatics5268 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Corvus Oscen time for a history lesson....bob riley was one of the o.g’s of this old house. I’m talking early 80’s with host bob villa. The carpenter that wore the white overalls.
      Then came the 90’s and bob villa was replaced by host Steve Thomas. But ol Steven left to chase bigger tv gigs which failed.
      Our new host Kevin a ginger from mass
      Appeared on a episode then quit his big investment job to audition and as luck would have it get the job
      I actually worked on a habitat for humanity house in new haven appear on it. Did all the drywall. Had no idea it was going to be on. As I watched the episode I was like hey this house looks familiar ....

    • @bluecollaraquatics5268
      @bluecollaraquatics5268 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Corvus Oscen norm Abrams is a god. Bob villa was just a snake oil salesman.
      And lastly, remember to put the rubber gasket on your new fluval canister filter (quarantine tank 20 long/ impulse buy). Rookie mistake after the third time of getting water on the floor. My poor yellow tang was like,” this sumbiatch has lost his damn marbles”

    Great video, I built this and it works well. But, I'm noticing some co2 gets through and pushed into the aquarium. How could I make this 100% dissolved in the reactor?

  • @aaronkaiser1092
    @aaronkaiser1092 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice, simple build. I would recommend a few unions, though. It's is going to be a hassle if you need to remove and service the reactor.

    • @CorvusOscen
      @CorvusOscen  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The filter screws off and honestly rarely needs maintenance! 😃

    • @aaronkaiser1092
      @aaronkaiser1092 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CorvusOscen That's true. I've always found things to be significantly easier with unions, but I see why you wouldn't necessarily need them here.

  • @thematlandry

    It looks like you are adding CO2 right before an empty filter canister. Would it be any different if you removed the canister all together? What purpose it the canister with an empty cartridge serving?

    I reckon worst thing with spaflex is difficulty getting a square end, hindered by the spiral ribbing... and I've seen it tear if jammed into an angle too firmly. gluing it is way better than hoseclamps also due to the ribbing. Imo.

  • @oFallenDemono

    Why are there bubbles coming out of the output? If that's C02 it's just gassing off no? principle behind these reactors is to increase dwell time within the reactor so 100% is dissolved.

  • @DuzzyDobbin
    @DuzzyDobbin 5 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @jasonericala
