@@echojaxx8550 This. I loved Rebels, but Disney's efforts to sanitize the show cheapened it and made a good show out have what could have been a great one.
@@GenericEdgyZoomer This has nothing to do with this topic, but in Rebels, I hate how incompetent they made the Death Troopers. Those guys should've kicked Rebel butt, but Rebels basically just made them regular stormtroopers with better-looking armor.
Rebels had it's flaws, but there were lots of positive points, and while the empire in general was whimpy (which is nothing new, come on guys), they DID treat Thrawn and Vader with appropriate respect, even in a kids show. I loved how clear it was that there was NO fighting Vader for Ezra and Kanan. He was utterly out of their league.

'member when people used to say "Clone Wars is a kids show"? Maul proved them wrong, just on his own. And he actually didn't even wait season 7 for that.
That's because it was too kiddy. It really kicked up a notch around the time Maul was resurrected.

Why do people act as if The Clone Wars is some sort of show with mature rating then all thess "brutal" deaths are pretty tame and are in line with the PG-13 rating? You can find similar "gruesome" deaths in fucking Marvel films.
@Adrian kids can watch something like this with no problem. This show still has a lot of elements for kids, especially in Jar Jar episodes. Just because it has some mild violence sprinkled in some episodes doesn't make it any less kid friendly.
the Citadel arc was pretty deadly as well. I still remember well that clone who got sliced in half by the security doors.
I was never a fan of Maul until the clone wars. Dave Filoni is a genius.

The Clone Wars Ending was amazing I just wished that they maybe showed more Grievous like when he kidnaps Palpatine
I think he should’ve been included in an earlier arc as opposed to the ending, as it would kinda ruin the pacing, but yeah I’d like to see more Grievous

@Corporal Nikolaj I suppose they should make a whole cartoon series with graphics "Clone Wars" about this war from the perspective of the separatists. This will allow us to better reveal grievous, Count Dooku, their relationship with Sidious, as well as show the special forces of the separatists, consisting of living people and other interesting personalities. That would be really intеresting and unusual.

I still find it crazy how these shows took a character George killed after two lines and turned him into one of the best characters in the Star Wars universe. Seriously, he's become quite amazing!
He was only ever meant to be a one off character though. His death paved the way for Dooku then ultimately Anakin so his death served a purpose.
If you want more Maul then may I suggest reading Shadow Hunter and the Darth Maul comics set before TPM.

Maul never really had a story in the Phantom Menace, except for that he was Sidious's first apprentice, but thanks to Dave Filoni, he has one, and it's on Canon.

It was actually Lucas' idea, he pitched most stories in Clone Wars to Filoni, who then had to figure out the execution.
no lowkey bringing him back was such a good decision, because this dude is my favorite character in the entire SW universe now. He took over Mandalore in a day by orchestrating a miniaturized version of the Clone Wars, then went full anti-hero once he knew Sidious' plan was about to fall into place. He didn't DISCOVER Sidious' plan because he knew all along. Lowkey goated tbh.

I don't know about that, Vader holds more terror for me, and I think I'd take his scene any day. Maul didn't have the impending doom feel for me. Rest of the episode kinda had that feeling though.

Well, the Clones were absolutely no match for our favourite legion, but it is admirable that those soldiers were so brave to continnue fighting Maul eventhough they saw how he was just cutting through them without any weapon...

The part at 1:55 when it cuts to Savage&Maul vs Sidious fight theme is just... cataclysmic levels of epic. I wish there was a longer version of that. Have you ever considered making a full mix of that particular theme and Duel of the Fates? They transition so well.
I wanna root for Maul but....the Clones...AHSOKA WHAT HAVE YOU DONE. You sure as heck weren't gonna kill them just let everything else kill them. Man. I mean I get it but.... MAN MY HEART CAN'T TAKE IT.

It wasn’t too hard for me. It was gut wrenching seeing the clones turn after 7 seasons of building the idea that they are human, but seeing maul kick ass was just so awesome. Maul only kicked ass on a small scale with duels and such before, the battle with Hondo’s pirates was one of the only two large scale battles he’s been in, and he only fought Kenobi if I remember. but here he unleashes his power on a level to rival starkiller himself and I loved it.

The difference was the amount of information she had
When she released Maul all she knew was that the people she’s loved and trusted for years were trying to kill her
But after learning that it wasn’t their fault she decided to keep the deaths caused by later actions at a minimum

The clone wars S7 meeting: Disney, “Dave, we’re gonna need you to make clone wars less violent so it appeals to a large audience.” Dave says, “Not gonna happen.” And goes off and makes Maul cut off peoples heads and make the wall panels the deadliest weapon known to man.
Literally cannot wait to rewatch this scene. Rewatching the series with my wife, who is seeing it first time. Star Wars isn't her thing but now she kinda wants to watch the films (1-6 of course)
When he plowed through those clones, it just showed how much more powerful he had become with the force. And then when he destroyed the hyper drive core. Dang, i pinched myself to make sure i wasnt dreaming
The people who disliked this were the troopers that got cut in half by Darth Maul
I loved the actual music of this scene in Shattered. This version was really fun to hear. It was so dynamic and sounded even cooler with Duel of the Fates added in.

I didn't think it was possible for "We Don't Understand" to get any better. This just melted my face off. As soon as Duel of the Fates entered the arena, I instantly subscribed. BRAVO.

It's not often we see the true power of someone armed only with the force. I love it. The best of the very same soldiers that killed hundreds of jedi armed with lightsabers couldn't stand up to maul

Nothing can't escape the wrath of the former sith lord. This clearly proves how superior force users are if they are not self-restrained like the jedi. I believe order 66 would not have been effective against dark side users.

I love how Maul slowly puts the pieces of Darth Plagueis's plan to destroy the Jedi and when he sees the full extent of the grand design he simply calls it Brilliant. Sidious executed it to perfection.

I like to think that Maul is especially powerful here because almost all the Jedi in the galaxy have just been killed. The darkside of the Force is especially strong, making him unstoppable in these last two episodes
