  • My breakdown and analysis of the video where a shooter’s custom P320Max on an AXG grip module detonates supposedly due to an out of battery (OOB) condition, and why I don’t think that is the case.

    That is evidence of a double or triple charged round there. I’ve reloaded 100k+ 9 mm loads, and I have to triple check the charger in each case to avoid issues exactly like this. With evidence like this, it’s obvious to me that he overcharged that case big time. He’s got a lot of balls trying to claim otherwise.

      My 229 did this but no visible damage on mine and I know it wasn’t a double charge. It blew out the right side of the case and the case was clearly not all the way in battery on inspection. One thing we all have to realize is that machines is fired enough wear out and sometimes bad stuff happens. Fortunately, nothing happened to me.

    I have a 320 Xcompact have shot 400rds through it and its ran well except one stove pipe due to a mag, but other than that its been good. There seems to be too many people hopping on the sig hate train, i think what Sig should do is release a video addressing the concerns.

    • @cosyfoot7867
      @cosyfoot7867 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s not all of their guns that have problems. It’s the fact their QC is spotty at best. I have 5 Sigs currently, so I am not at all a Sig hater and love many of their products, it’s just that their QC sucks. I don’t believe they fire out of battery, but the issues I’ve seen from people I know personally with Sig like a 365 that rusted basically out of the box. One buddy got a 320 that was just a lemon out of the box. Then the thighs you see online about 365 not firing unless you shake while you pull the trigger. I also have a 365 XL with a new optic plate mount that was impossible to get the optic plate off. I had to send to Sig to remove. It’s a lot of little things like that shows they are much more worried about quantity over quality. I know everyone can have a lemon, but I have never personally seen or had someone I knew have a negative experience with a Glock or S&W or CZ pistol. But Sig has a lot of problems and it’s hard for me to trust one right out of the box or even prior to 1,000 rounds.

    • @DeusRegum
      @DeusRegum ปีที่แล้ว

      I own the Macro and XTen. Nothing wrong with the Macro, but I still don't trust it enough to be an EDC. The XTen mags aren't reliable, the rounds will fall out of it because the mag spring and follower stick and don't 'follow' the rounds as they are ejected. I don't trust SIG at all at this point. Sticking to Glock and H&K.

      At what point in the loading process did this “out of battery” detonation occur? Because the round is not fully seated on the slide until the round is in the chamber. Unless you have figured out how to make a P-320 into an automatic weapon in which the round is somehow seated on the face of the slide prior to going into the chamber you did NOT have an out of battery detonation. So you are either full of $hit or you don’t understand how a pistol works. What you had was most likely a ruptured cartridge. No gun with an internal firing pin block safety can fire out of battery. That passive safety makes sure that only the trigger bar can disengage that block that is located in the slide. For that to happen the block has to be positioned in line with the trigger bar and that means the slide must be forward fully in battery.

      Exactly!!!

    • @lucastonoli3256
      @lucastonoli3256 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Firing block safety can be designed poorly or grossly out of spec. Many competition guns have shitty firing pin blocks in order to have better "trigger feeling", not uncommon with some custom CZs and other european pistols.

    • @Nuke-China
      @Nuke-China ปีที่แล้ว

      I know various M17s that had a safety notice because the firing pin block was shearing off. The M17 has its FPB built into the striker assembly -- it's not a separate component in the slide like most other striker fired designs.

    • @rbm6184
      @rbm6184 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Nuke-China Well we know why the P320 has had the problems it has had when SIG tried to put a striker FCU into the double action frame of the P250 rather than designing a striker frame in the first place. There was not enough room for the striker FCU in a P250 frame. It was SIG's first striker pistol and they had a learning curve that was rectified in the P365. But the problems have been fixed in the P320 as they have come up. If a FPB safety was breaking then it was because they had a bad batch of them that were not heat treated right in the MIM process.

    • @rbm6184
      @rbm6184 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lucastonoli3256 I have also seen Canik TP9s where the FPB safety had too small of a surface area for the trigger bar to disengage it if the bar went out of alignment. This caused a dead trigger because the FPB safety was not disengaged. Like you said, some have been designed out of spec. Then there is the hair trigger crowd that compromises the safe function of the pistol with aftermarket parts just to have a lighter trigger and yes they pay the price in the long run. No striker pistol trigger is ever going to have a clean breaking trigger compared to a 1911 hammer fired no matter how its modified and even if it is then the pistol will no longer function safely. The striker trigger design is just inherently sloppy on the break.

    We can discuss it!
    Or I can report it. I’m glad it’s up! I want people to talk about what happened! And share their opinions!
    But I won’t have videos of me being posted on TH-cam without consent.
    Let’s talk about it.

    Still too many bizarre issues with the 320 being reported for my liking.

    I can tell you from personal experience. I have had my p320 max blow up twice with factory ammo. There is a situation with these guns.

      No, because we can see that the round immediately before the last one discharges normally.

      No squib. You hear bullet impact on steel on previous shot.

    Yes. The Sigs do fire out of battery. This whole video is EASILY disproven. Why are we seeing p320s fail at a significantly higher rate than any other gun? Do you think that gun idiots that hand load their ammo only buy Sigs? No. They buy all kinds of guns, but you don't see nearly as many Glocks, CZs, HKs break when you shoot hot ammo through them.
    Siggers are just in denial that their gun is trash. From P320 drop safety issues, Poor p365 and MPX rollouts, x macro rust issues, FOB issues from “bad ammo,” $2500 MCXs with bending barrels/hand guards, and now Monteville PD released a video of a P320 going off in a level 3 retention holster.
    I've never seen a company with so many qc issues, yet their fan boys continue to pretend and tout the company as a gucci and premium brand. Cope harder sig fan boy

    My 5x legion has 5000 flawless rds with many different ammo manufacturers. Belmo 9mm is the only ammo I had problems with but it was with all my 9mm hand guns and some friends. Junk ammo

    Looks like a double charge. It's out of battery because of over charge.
