Right, I'm off to my wardrobe to dig out my denim shorts and navy high heels - it's guaranteed to make my husband smile when he comes home from work and sees me cooking dinner in THAT little outfit. :)
But at 56 years of age, there is no way I will be wearing it out in public Ha Ha !
I would have done in my teens and 20's though.
My favourite item is your tobacco coloured shorts as you have shown them to be so versatile - preppy safari with the loafers, then Italian va va voom with your tassled heels. You could even wear them in winter with your loafers and thick tights.

Amen! My knees are ‘droopy’ and definitely not something I want to show off, so bermudas and mid-knee length skirts are a must.

I was doing this yesterday, planning a two-day work trip wardrobe for two days in June in Arizona, where it's 104F by about that time. Haven't flown since 1996. This should be fun. I bought: fancy elevated black linen shorts that are almost knee-length; white linen blazer; a couple of linen tank tops, navy and black; flax-colored linen trousers, and a few other things. Topped it off with a white canvas wide-brimmed hat.

That sounds like a lovely mix and match mini wardrobe. Maybe add a statement belt to pull all the looks together? Like Alyssa do. Imagine a tan textured crocodile look for a safari feel, or a metalic silver or gold, or a bright pop of colour, such as red, lime, aqua or pink.
Sounds perfect! I live in AZ year round and for me while I know a blazer or jacket elevates a look I find I just can’t do it as it’s too much….for me anyway. Except in “winter.”🤣

Love the slip skirt with the tank top. Very hard to find slip skirts that aren’t crazy loud. But find your skirt very classic even with the cow print. Love it!
I love and appreciate your styling ideas! You have the most beautiful leg shape! I am struggling with mine, especially now that I’m going to spend all summer pregnant 😅 so o have longer skirts, dresses, and light pants. Most of my key pieces are too small for me right now, but I have been incredibly lucky to thrift quite a few larger and more stretchy versions of my favorites that I can wear through the summer! In nice materials still too, I’m content. So I’m working on a maternity capsule for summer and fall!

Love all your looks!❤ I really appreciate your shoe commentaries. It’s amazing how shoes can really transform the vibe and be the cherry on top of the outfit! In winter, it’s easier to be lax when my pants come down and hide over 90% of my shoes.
Some great ideas here, thank you! Would love a video on how to style different kinds of summer dresses. Eg, maxi, strappy, shift etc?
Can you (or have you already) do a video on what to look for in high quality ballet flats. I love the silhouette ballet flats create, but I burn through them on a yearly fashion. I'd love to learn how to spot good quality flats that won't die quickly.
Really love that you use the same pieces of your wardrobe to really show that we don't need to buy, buy!!! note: even with different shoes, the cut off jeans always look "juvenile" to me

Loving the ideas for the structured shorts! I just got some that are nearly the same silhouette, but in teal. I don't have nearly the same style words or color pallet as you, but the outfit shapes definitely give me ideas.
I've had (slightly less structured) teal shorts for a few years and I love them! Teal is one of my favourite pops of colour, and I feel it works so well with every neutral.
Really enjoyed this video! Particularly like these longer formats. The shorter ones leave me wishing for more! 😊
Love your styling ideas. I made notes throughout this video. I was wondering what you will be wearing in the hottest part of the summer. I am going to Mexico in May (don't even ask why) where the daytime highs are consistently 40 degrees. We will not be on a resort, just hanging out in town, so I'm trying to figure out some styling for "in the city during the stinking hot".

J'ai bien aimé les derniers looks avec les flâneurs je trouvais ça très joli même si les shorts sont très courtes et peu flatteuses en général mais avec une belle blouse et bien stylés j'ai vraiment trouvé ça très joli. TBH I love spring/summer clothes and love dressing for those seasons for the exact reason there isn’t layering. I get excited pulling out my button ups, dresses and shorts. Open collars with necklaces, etc. Just sad the weather in my part of the world isn’t cooperating right now.

The shorter and fitted bottom paired with longer more oversized jacket looks really nice. I often wear knee length skirt with more cropped jacket.

This is so useful and fun! The baseball cap reminded me that I wear some kind of a hat all summer so I would love to see a video on head accessories because we don’t want to always look like we are going to the beach with a sundress and a wide rimmed straw hat. My favorite look was the all black mini skirt outfit with the party shoes!! LOVEEE!! Also, I liked the belt with the buckle forward better. I don't think it was too much, because it helped balance the shoes which were more fun and over-the-top in contrast to the all black. It was perfection.

Hi. Great video, and I really resonate with your style. I agree with the denim cutoff and not going OTT with the shoes. I think the shorts in focus, are enough. A party shoe would compete for attention and look wrong.
One ask, it would he super helpful to see a summer wardrobe style without short s or miniskirts. You have the most fabulous legs. My.legs are not great and Im sporting a horrible bulging varicous vein which I cant get done before summer. I always go for the same look, beige linen pants and white top. Bit boring. Any ideas for someone who prefers to cover the legs would be muchly appreciated.

❤ Apollo! Great variety of options-it shows how versatile a small wardrobe can be. What might you recommend for a night option to balance out the romantic top if you don’t want to wear heels? Also, thanks for including longer hemlines. Alas, I find short hemlines troublesome because I have to apply buckets of sunscreen or I end up looking like a tomato. 😅

Nice! Also the reason why the loafers looked safari with the shorts is because of the top. Try swapping it with a Breton top. That should fix it and it won't look costume-y :). Just my two cents.

Is the black bra with the white buckle a design element? I found myself noticing it under the white tops. Guessing that is intential. My instinct would be a nude bra that would be undectable. Is that boring?
