The King has very close relationships with Greece and the Orthodoxy ...... Long live the King... Greetings from the Orthodox Greece... This sound of the Vyzantine Hymn is called " LEGETOS "or sound D (Δ) .. it is the most celebratory sound...
As a Greek Orthodox myself it's quite interesting to see others react to these byzantine chants, when this is what I grew up with. As beautiful they are it is quite common for me. Hence why I love to see peoples reactions.
Greeks are poorer and weaker than Turks And Brits are owned by Jews who support Turks Cry more. Turks just did to Europeans what Europeans did to America Australia and Africa
It says approximately: “Lord God, protect the King and the Son of the King” followed by verses of the Psalms 71. And it ends “Lord save the Emperor. Hallelujah. Glory to Thee, Oh Lord, Glory to Thee” I wonder if this is not a hymn from the coronation ceremony of the Eastern Roman Emperors. I think is more than a homage to the late prince Philip….
Of course it was more than just a tribute to Philip. It was chosen for that very specific moment he received the Sword. It's a very important and symbolic moment.
"Lord Save the King" it says 3 times. Not the Emperor. The ancient greek word Βασιλεύς (Vasilefs =King) started to be used also in the East Roman Empire at 7th century AD by the Emperor Herakleios. He was the one to lead the first ever crusade against the Persians that had stolen the Holy Cross from Jerusalem. At the same time Avars and Slavs attacked Konstantinople unsuccessfully. The nights of the siege a glorious hymn had written to honour the Saint of all Saints the Mother of God, which helped the defenders of the City to defeat the enemies :Τη Υπερμάχω Στρατηγώ.
The Majectic Byzantine Chant, the golden Imperial Robe of an Emperor going to battle, the Swords, All those chosen by him, are so Symbolic of a Byzantine Warrior Emperor. May Bod Bless Charles with Wisdom and Ability to restore Western Civilization to its Proper Glory !!!
Also Bulgaria, Albania, Romania, Serbia, Syria. They also use the Byzantine Chant in liturgical tradition in contrast to Russia, Ukraine, Belarus where they use opera music instead
We hope that the Byzantine Empire will once again rule Turkey middle east and North Africa, as it was at the height of its power with the Orthodox faith ☦️☦️

I'm Greek, but I believe we have no right of saying such things. We have to respect that there are 15 million Turks living in Constantinople. Of course the Turks have obligations too. They must respect the monuments of our history. It's unacceptable that Hagia Sofia became a mosque.
@@ng-yk6kk Saying its unacceptable does not suffice. Turkish policy is erasing cultures, people and memory, throughout centuries. Our people made this city great, we named it built it and lived there for over a millenia.
His Majesty King Charles wisely took the 1000 year old tradition of England's Kings coronation and turned it to a 2000 year old tradition of christian Emperor coronation. I wouldn't like to be a Turk nowdays

@@Daxored a litte bit late to the party I realise... Although commonly referred to as the Byzantine empire, it was actually the Roman empire, and on the throne in its capital Constantinople sat a Roman emperor. The term "byzantine" was coined by a German "historian/archeologist" in the 16th century for political purposes, as many European powers wanted to portray themselves as the descendants and inheriters of the Roman empire, but obviously reality did not fit in with that narrative hence the "renaming". It's actually a bit of an insult to history and the Roman empire to call them that in my view, but there you go. The term Byzantine comes from the name Byzans which was the original name of the city before Emperor Constantine - the first Christian Roman emperor - moved the capital of the Roman empire from Rome in 395 to Byzans in the Bosphorus, renaming it after his name: Constaninople: the city of Constantine in Greek. The Roman empire lived on until it fell to the Ottoman Turks in 1453. This moving of the capital shifted the focus from South Western Europe to South Eastern Europe and had multiple political, religious and historical implications for Europe (too loong winded to go into on here). So, this chant is both about his Greek herigate, as Hellenism was very much at the heart of the Roman empire under its Christian emperors, as it is/was to proclaim himself as a descendant of the great emperors of Rome through his "Hellenic and royal heritage" (even though the former Greek royal family had no connection to the Roman emperors of old, but we won't let such little facts get in the way of our fantasy). Many of the byzantine chants date back millenia to the first Churches in Europe and are indeed quite majestic to listen to.
@@smaugthemagnificent Queen Olga, King George's wife derived from Angeloi, the dynasty before the palaeoligian (and the last of Byzantium). So they were related via her, via this very distant bloodline.

Well, if you are Greek Orthodox, it is every Sunday and feasts and very much in the present.
My favourite part of the coronation. It gives us a glimpse of what a Byzantine emperor’s coronation would have been like. Beautiful chanting
It would have been a lot more beautiful and marvellous. They had access to a lot of the originak Christian relics you know. And nothing can match the beauty of Hagia Sophia when she was untouched by the Muslimd and Crusaders.
That Greek Byzantine Chant was outstanding and sounded direct from Mount Athos ❤
I think this ancient byzantine chant was the highlight of the ceremony , so spiritual, felt like Jesus was there himself ❤❤❤
You felt that right, the true living God Jesus Christ has only one Church and one truth, Orthodox Church.
Something about the Byzantine Chant just feels Imperial.
I liked this part very much. Gave this part of the ceremony an appropriate and beautiful archaic touch.

It says approximately: “Lord God, protect the King and the Son of the King” followed by verses of the Psalms 71.
And it ends “Lord save the Emperor. Hallelujah. Glory to Thee, Oh Lord, Glory to Thee”
I wonder if this is not a hymn from the coronation ceremony of the Eastern Roman Emperors. I think is more than a homage to the late prince Philip….
It was the last hymn that played to Saint Sophia in Constantinople 1453 for the Last emperor Constantine Palelogos.

Tradition never dies if the nation that created it still exists and keep practising it. Unfortunatelly those things are changing rapidly in Europe.

>actually proclaiming himself the Emperor of Rome
What do you mean?
