    I got mine over the winter and luckily it came with the upgraded straps. They’re crazy comfortable. Great video Jimmy !!

      Nice to know they are sending those comfort straps as standard issue now. They are really great.

    Thanks for the video. I just purchased the back pack. Decided to add another battery powdered backpack to my work truck. As a pest control applicator you can never have too many sprayers on your truck lol. One thing i would like to correct is the psi. The older model has a 0-60psi the newer version reaches 115 psi. The main reason i purchased the product. Spraying the ground might not make much difference but when your trying to treat the exterior of a home like soffits it makes a world of difference. I like how you pointed out and compared the backpacks. Definitely excited to try my new backpack.

      He said it's the same psi in the video? So was he wrong, I'd like a few more feet as well to reach up high on larger homes

    Nice adds on the 2.5. I got mine last year and it came with the comfort straps, but had to mark my 1/2 gallon increments. Overall, a great sprayer!

    Jimmy, thank you for this video. This was very helpful and informative! The biggest question I have is what is the psi settings for each of the five settings? It’s not listed on their website nor in their product manual. This is pretty important information when deciding which setting to match the nozzle to, and matching those to the type product using. For example, if I’m using a humic or other product that I want to get into the soil, I would use the flood jet nozzle at 40 psi or maybe even lower to keep the droplets larger. I’ve tried reaching out to the manufacturer but I’m not getting much luck in response to this question. Do you know what the psi settings are?

      @@JimmyLewisMows that would be great.
      One more thing, I've already asked this and didn't really get the info I was seeking. But since you have contacts on the inside, can you find out if each setting on the dial correlates to a certain psi? Like you said in your vid, we know the lowest and highest settings. But are the in-between settings equidistant from.each other?...8-35-62-89-115

    • @JimmyLewisMows
      @JimmyLewisMows  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Jay, just wanted to update you on the shipping. My contact at Flowzone got back to me and let me know that they have switched over to USPS flat rate shipping for the quick connect adapter, so the costs have come down. I can look into the psi settings for each dial click and get back with you. Would you mind emailing me a reminder? Thanks.

      @@JimmyLewisMows while you are at it , could you ask them if this new sprayer can be used to low pressure spray water base coatings such as roof coatings and water base stain for fences with back brushing ?
      As a professional painter, I have airless machines but they atomize these materials too much even at low pressure because of their viscosity .
      I’ll also try and contact you through you email. Thanks for the run down.

  • @rogergrant992

    I got the typhoon 2.5v last week. Got the teejet mods today and used it for the first time and first backpack sprayer. NO MORE DIAL-N-SPRAY. It’s awesome. I do have the ryobi 1 gallon battery sprayer for the bugs and stuff around the house. Just carry it around with you. Light weight and makes it really convenient for the tight spaces. Lower pressure with no pressure adjustment but it’s perfect for beds and around the house.

    • @rogergrant992
      @rogergrant992 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jimmy a follow up question. When using the typhoon I'm seeing that it leaves about 3 1/2 cups of product in the bottom when it quits pumping. Is that normal or ami doing something wrong?

    • @JimmyLewisMows
      @JimmyLewisMows  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I usually have a tiny bit left in the tank but not that much. When the pump starts fluttering lean slightly to the side and it will get more out.

    One other major difference is the battery. They did not have the Lithiom Ion battery on the 2v model, it included the old battery type. My battery didn't even last 1 year.

    I'm looking to buy a sprayer. The My4sons M4 sprayer is $200 cheaper and the battery last several hours longer and has more tips. I read the M4 sprays 30 feet horizontal and 21 feet vertical with 60 psi max. The Typhoon has more psi but does it spray further? I'm mainly going to spray Endurance turf paint and some fertilizer.

  • @Mason-RRC
    @Mason-RRC ปีที่แล้ว

    I’ve watched this video and the one you did with the Yard Mastery sprayer. I’m trying to decide between the two and having difficulty. It would appear that the 2.5 has better straps and a higher quality hose. If I understand correctly the YM may have more gpm. Is there really any advantages the YM has over the 2.5 ?

    • @JimmyLewisMows
      @JimmyLewisMows  ปีที่แล้ว

      The flowzone sprayer has 5 pressure adjustment settings with max at 116psi, where the YM sprayer has 2 with max of 90psi. Max pressures are close, but I’d pick flowzone if given the option. Comfort is also super important, and flowzone straps are definitely more comfortable.
      Flowzone is also providing free shipping if you use my affiliate link (in description). YM is at $25 shipping. Hope that helps. Feel free to reach out with any other questions. Want to make sure you’re happy with your decision.

    Hello - Thx for the great Video - I have pump sprayers now and I pump with my right hand and hold the wand with my left - I noticed the hose comes out of the right side on the Flowzone's - In your opinion is it possible to hold the wand in my left hand and have the hose go around the back of the unit and still spray with these new flowzone sprayers? I can't find any specs on how long the spray hose is - Thx

    • @JimmyLewisMows
      @JimmyLewisMows  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Larry. Yes, the hose is plenty long enough to hold in your left hand if you prefer. The dial is placed on the left side of the tank and is also reachable with your left hand. Hope that helps.

    First season I’ve decided to use liquid and I’m not sure I’m loving it. I’ve done 2 apps of humic12 and one app of 18-0-1 green punch. Seem to have an issue seeing my spray path. Granted, I’m using a cheaper Ryobi with tee jet nozzles.. but thinking about going back to granular cause I feel I’m wasting product

    • @JimmyLewisMows
      @JimmyLewisMows  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Applying liquids definitely takes practice, and takes some getting used to. Humic12 is a great product to practice with because if you mess up on the application, you'll not see any effects in the lawn. 18-0-1 is different though. You'll see color differences in the lawn if you miss spots. If you do switch back to granular, Yard Mastery offers great alternatives to the liquids.

      It's ironic. I have the AIXR 04 because it puts out about 1 gal/K at a 3MPH pace. But now, I want to try to spray 5Ksf with 4 gallons (.80 gallons per K) so that I only fill 2x. I haven't found the nozzle class that will do that at 60PSI. My My4Sons sprayer is adjustable, but like the FZ 2, with no markings. :(

    The only thing that I don’t like about the new design. As I spray pesticides every day with this Same set up the 2.5. When pesticides get onto the cloth it’s soaks in all day. Every day, all year. I wish it was made out of a plastic non-absorbent material for pesticides.
