I ordered the Typhoon 3 and all of the Teejet nozzles and accessories that you mentioned. Can't wait for them to arrive so I can try it out. Again, thanks so much!
Got both of these about two weeks ago on your advice. I've only used the foliar tip so far but it was so much better than the standard tip that came with my sprayer (not a flozone). I tested the other out but only with water. Really satisfied with both of these tips.
To reduce drift for foliar (you are making clouds!) and if you can keep up the pace and have 60psi go to XR11006. I love it. For soil ramp up as well to AIXR11005. It extra coarse will penetrate better the canopy. Both will improve you app time. A middle ground is the turbo jets or even TT(twin turbo).
If you like the pattern of the XR8004VS (XR= extended range) you can also get it in a TP8004EVS (even fan set up for perfectly even coverage of 20” at 20” above the ground) or you can get it as DG8004VS (drift guard) for the same 80 degree fan but with larger droplets to minimize drift) Basically if you hold any of these 22-24” above the turf you can follow your mower stripes (20” for you reel guys) It’s hard to believe what a difference a decent tip vs Chinese econo-plastic can make. I just upgraded this pre-season!
Jimmy!! On point as always. I received my FlowZone Cyclone 2 on Monday, ordered the tips you recommended. I gotta say, going from the Ortho Dial and Spray to the FlowZone is great. No more hose to drag around.

@@JimmyLewisMows Quick question..I'm so new to this and trying to figure out which parts I would need to fit my sprayer wand while watching your video and searching online.. you said 1/2" for the quick connect and adapter. Granted, your teejet quick connect set-up is for your Flowzone sprayer. Would these parts also work on a Petra Tools battery powered backpack sprayer? I assume as long as the connection sizes are the same it would work?
I use this setup, but turn the 45 up instead of down and hold wand at a 45. This projects spray level out in front of you and keeps it off your legs and feet.
I don't understand how the elbow piece is working. the you said you had 1/4 inch elbow fitted into the 1/2 female quick connect. that 45 degree elbow is not fitting into my quick connect nozzle.
Hello Jimmy, I may be purchasing the Petra HD3000 (3 GAL SPRAYER) from Amazon soon, and would like to upgrade to the TEEJET 110° fan nozzle tip, what would you recommend or suggest i need to buy in order for this tip to fit into an adapter that goes into the OEM wand ? thanks,
I’m finding that the filter in the nozzle clogs fast along with the flow zone filter it clogs fast . This is especially true for all N-ext products. You have use a metal coffee screen to filter it before adding it to flow zone and remove nozzle filter.
How is your dilution when you use the products? I haven't had any clogging issues with this setup, and I've run some pretty thick mixes through it. Curious to know your experience.
I want to see if this product is useful on grass fires. Using dawn dish soap or fireice by gel tec as an additive to the water should work well. I'm considering adding this to my gear.
Is there an adapter/ fitting that will attach to a pressure washer gun that adapts down to a 3/8 barbed nipple to connect my gun to the backpack sprayer?
I ordered everything in this video and it literally does not fit my 40v kobalt sprayer. This is so frustrating constantly waiting on parts just to use the damn thing and then they don’t even work.. what gives? My plastic curved piece isn’t the same sizes as yours and I used your link?!

I want to stay as close to 1 gallon per 1000 square feet at a normal (slow) walking pace. For chelated iron and urea applications, is it better to have a fine drop size or a medium drop size?
Home Depot link in description is incorrect. The link is for the male adapter and the one needed is female. If you look at the other adapter link and compare it to the HD one you'll see what I mean. I just bought a 1/4" female barrel adapter threded at both ends and it works now.
I'll reply to my own question: Found out you do not need any rubber gasket, o-ring, or washers for either the quik-connect threaded end or for the TeeJet nozzle threaded end. A washer is available from SpraySmarter for about $4 plus $9 something for delivery...no thanks. The part number is CP5871-BU. You must use a different washer if you use a quick-connect quarter turn TeeJet cap which I don't have. If you do add a washer and the filter mentioned there is not much thread left for the cap. With no washer the tip does not leak. The stainless steel quick connect does drip a bit, but a with few wraps of teflon tape...no drip. All the parts Jimmy mentioned in his video work great...Northern Tool is slow to ship and I think the same SS quik-connects are on Amazon for half the price...SpraySmarter ships really quick and customer service is where I got all my info..Hope this all helps.
Great videos did you recalibrate your flow zone when you use the TJs compared to the other one If yes what was the difference in gallon per minute? Thanks
Do you have any other videos where you showcase the Flowzone and your sprayer components/upgrades. I would love to see the female quick connect and determine parts I need to modify my M4 sprayer to accept quick disconnects.
Do you need an O ring to go inside of the cap and between the nozzle and 45? Or does the filter also serve as the O ring for a better seal? If not using a filter do you need an O ring?
Great tip! You mentioned that the quick connect was 1/2" female threads. It looks like 1/4" though. Am I seeing it wrong. (Want to make sure I order the right size) thank you
What have you found to be the benefits of the teejet vs the standard green or silver tip from flowzone? I own a pest control company and I'm curious to know the difference
The biggest benefits for me are the variability of flow rates and spray patterns, as well as the ability to connect them with elbow fittings to the spray shaft for better comfort. I should note that I use these tips to spray products on my lawn. When I'm spraying pest control, or spot spraying weeds in my lawn, I use the standard green tip.
This teejet setup is confusing, but this video sure helps. One question regarding that Flowzone quick connect adapter link, would that setup for $12.99 replace your other links with the smaller red teejet nozzle, quick connect coupler from Northern Tool, the 45 deg nozzle adapt, and the teejet cap (locking nut)? Assuming this Flowzone allows for swapping of other tips? Just not sure about the filter/strainer if that's built in or could be added. TIA.
