    There's also technical standard, like ANSI, DIN, JIS, etc. which can be chosen arbitrarily, but can create problems if we are not consistent in following them.

    Ok video, but there 4, in orders, laws , ethics, moral and consciousness. Law all must live by. Ethics like rule work place like standards in business, morality how we was rise and life journey, the last but most important is consciousness how we feel inside. Law may say no. Work ethices my say not right. Your church and family say its not right. But in mind and heart you feel its right thing to do. See the other can change by m9ve one place to another. But your conscience will follow everywhere

      I agree Endless Roads that one's conscience can also act as a standard, especially in situations where no law can guide you.
      However, let's not forget that not all consciences are the same: some are morally upright, while others are not so.
      That's why it's always best to balance it with the other standards (moral or non-moral). 🙂
