Yes Uninvited, I forgot that one. I was not picking on you yesterday Mark. I tried to find your age, I'm 62. I have the year of my birth following my name. I was wondering if you had 69 when you did your profile or if it was the year of your birth. I saw your profile and your pics are so different.

This gospel singing family would make a very successful transition to mainstream music,, The Staple Singers "I'll Take You There",, "Respect Yourself" & "Uncloudy Day"

Yes, she does write her lyrics. On the way home from a Alanis concert my son said.... She reminds me of Bob Dylan with her lyrics and the way she sings. I agreed.

Saw her a couple years ago in St Pete. Her on a stool with a guy playing acoustic guitar. She was spellbinding as her voice commanded the theater. Amazing talent.

I am a 70 year old man who enjoyed more so, appreciated your video. Made no difference to me if you liked Alanis or not, but you did not pause to elaborate and present yourself as a voice that must be heard. Your lifts of the brow and smiles spoke volumes.
I hope more of your videos follow suite.

    "Hand In My Pocket"
    I'm broke, but I'm happy
    I'm poor, but I'm kind
I'm short, but I'm healthy, yeah
    I'm high, but I'm grounded
    I'm sane, but I'm overwhelmed
I'm lost, but I'm hopeful, baby
And what it all comes down to
Is that everything's gonna be fine, fine, fine
'Cause I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is givin' a high five
I feel drunk, but I'm sober
    I'm young, and I'm underpaid
I'm tired, but I'm working, yeah
    I care, but I'm restless
I'm here, but I'm really gone
I'm wrong, and I'm sorry, baby
And what it all comes down to
Is that everything's gonna be quite all right
'Cause I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is flickin' a cigarette
And what it all comes down to
Is that I haven't got it all figured out just yet
'Cause I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is givin' a peace sign
    I'm free, but I'm focused
    I'm green, but I'm wise
I'm hard, but I'm friendly, baby
    I'm sad, but I'm laughing
I'm brave, but I'm chicken shit
I'm sick, but I'm pretty, baby
And what it all boils down to
Is that no one's really got it figured out just yet
Well, I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is playin' a piano
And what it all comes down to, my friends, yeah
Is that everything is just fine, fine, fine
'Cause I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is hailin' a taxi cab

"Entertaining For Your Brain"..... Yeah.....When she starts playing the Harmonica the crowds go crazy. Her live shows are a lot of fun watching the woman who know every word and screaming most of the time,, and a damn good band behind her.

Check out any song on this album. The whole thing is a masterpiece. It is the greatest, highest selling album of the 90s. What other decade has such an unconventional album as its best album?
Speaking of the 90s, how about "Lithium" by Nirvana?
