      Like Trump, his "genius" is evil. For example, he paid crazy money for Twitter not to make money directly, but to help sway elections towards fascist dictatorship so that he can gain more money and power that way. I have a saying: Intelligence without wisdom is like a boat without water; it won't take you anywhere meaningful. Musk is a perfect example. Go to Mars? Please do, Elon. A simple man with wisdom, I've been given the answers to all of mankind's deepest questions, including The Meaning of Life. "The Book of GOD" takes only 5 minutes to read at no cost. That quote of him saying that he took inspiration from The Dictator’s “pointy rocket ship” is probably one of the funniest unintentional irony I have ever seen.
    The scene he’s referring to has the Dictator character talking to his chief rocket guy about why the rocket isn’t pointy. The rocket guy then explains that the round shape is more aerodynamic (or that it didn’t matter, I don’t exactly remember) and that the dictator’s idea is a bad one. The dictator insists that it should be pointy because other world leaders would make fun of him for having it be round. The dictator then has the engineer executed (but not really due to later context that isn’t relevant here) for insisting against him.
    The scene is supposed to show that the dictator is an incompetent fool more focused on what would make himself look cool rather than what would be a good idea, and he leverages his power to get his way. Sounds… awfully familiar.
    The fact that Elon would take inspiration from the dictator and ignore the entire point of that scene is just… I don’t think I need to explain further,

    • @ts-rgb

    The concept of an electric car did not originate with him.
    Thomas Parker, an English inventor who was responsible for electrifying the London Underground, built the first production electric car in Wolverhampton in 1884. This was followed in 1888 by the construction of the first real electric car by German engineer Andreas Flocken but the world's first mass-market electric vehicle (EV). The pioneering LEAF hit the roads in December 2010. First sold in Japan, Europe and America, it's now driven in 59 markets.

    In Germany we have a Giga factory near Berlin now. Since it opened he contaminated the drinking water of Berlin. The Insurance,all employers have to pay for working accidents, BG sued him for too many working accidents and bad safety in the factory. He pays 20% less then all other German carmakers and people only work there because there are no jobs in the region. He violates constantly construction rules of Germany building what he wants, where he wants. This lead to a permanent protesters camp in the woods close to Giga Germany with mord the 100 protesters living there permanently in tree houses in order to stop him from simply cutting down the forest. He tried to sack Union workers, which was later reversed by the courts and cost him lots of money , because Germanies unions and their representatives in Germany are protected by law. Lately, since the demand for Tesla vehicles stagnated he sacked 300 workers who worked for a contractor and he will sack 3000 by the end. All this will cost Tesla lots of money, because Germanies labour laws are strict and not like in the US. When he built the factory he therefore employed lots of Polish workers who had to be happy to be underpaid. He is so hated in Berlin, that bouncers did not let him into a famous Berlin Club called Berghain. He has not many fans in Germany and not many Teslas can be seen on the roads here.

He's just full of smoke and mirrors / bait and switch, one can say he speaks before he thinks. How long has he been promising FSD, and how many people have paid for it and still waiting? Why did he remove Lidar from vehicles? CyberTruck was supposed to cost $50K, now it is 100K. Although claiming to be, he is not a founding member of Tesla. No one in their right mind would pay 44B for Twitter. The Hyperloop is a failure. Where are the Tesla Semi Trucks? Good idea, poor implementation. Where are the RoboTaxis promised by 2020? He really doesn't care about people or his employees. He claims to work 100 hours per week, and so should every one else? People have lives and children to raise. Fact; Teslas are literally the safest vehicles on the road as rated by the NHTSB and insurance institute.
      Corrections for this sad opinion video;
      First off, "Geezer" needs to do actual research into Musk. I've probably done less research than you and somehow know more verifiable facts than he does about this man. He needs to stop looking in the corporate media corners for "information" because clearly they have a biased agenda that he doesn't quite understand yet.
      Secondly, I am not a blind "fanboy" of Elon Musk as it's clear he's not a perfect individual and at the very least should get off social media entirely, because clearly he can't really handle it very well.
      Thirdly, He did NOT grow up with "emerald wealth" as that happened after he left South Africa with his family. If he had grown up in wealth he wouldn't have been on social welfare in Canada and would have his college paid for and wouldn't have had to sleep on the floor of an office he rented in Silicon Valley when he first started programming as he was indeed self-made because if he had money the whole time that wouldn't have happened and he would have sold his first program easily.
      He was indeed self-made in the sense that several programs during his time in silicon valley became valuable and sought after so he sold them to buy Solar City, Lotus/Tesla and started SpaceX (spending all his money). Hell, when he was 15 he wrote a video game and sold it for a few hundred bucks so even at a young age he was very intelligent, which nearly cost him his life in South Africa, which was yet another reason his Mother took them to Canada. That and they didn't want to be associated with apartheid as they did not agree with that. This is something Elon has said many times but of course you didn't know that did you? Good research Geezer!
      Logically, Geezer needs to ask himself about some factual inaccuracies he presented in this low budget, poorly produced "opinion" piece (because it's clear he didn't do his research);
      Ask yourself this; if Musk did indeed grow up with "emerald mine money" would he have been on social welfare in an apartment in Toronto with his Mother and brother?
      Why didn't he get all his college paid for if he came from wealth?
      Why was he homeless and why did he sleep on the floor of the office space he rented in silicon valley before the sale of any of his programs if he always "had money"?
      If Musk actually had money, why would he spend all of his money on SolarCity Tesla and SpaceX and not use other people's money which is what all the other douchebag wealthy do to mitigate their risk?
      Why would anyone with money spend all of their money on things that they believe are important as opposed to spend others money on things that they think will make a profit?
      In summary, I can see Geezer scratching his head and wondering why he posted this "opinion piece" of Musk without doing any actual unbiased research, or being foolish enough to follow whatever corporate media sources he used. Doesn't anyone understand by now that corporate media can't be trusted with any grain of truth as it promotes a narrative of the billionaire class? I hate to break it to you but Musk was never part of that class and doesn't act as such now.
      In fact, he said many times in interviews that he doesn't care if he makes money as he has things that he wants to accomplish. Sounds like a typical silver spoon billionaire right? LOL Yes, he has money now but clearly he never grew up with it because if he did his life would have been vastly different. Clearly, Geezer is ignorant of his actual early life.
      Evidence, logic and reason are beautiful things huh? Geezer should try it sometime...

    18:15 Hali is like the opposite of m usk, he wanted to get payed with a wage because that would maximise the amount he paid the government in tax as a thank you, because of their policies for disabled people like himself. This also meant twitter owed him 100 million dollars, therefore he was on a do not fire list because apart from him being a great employee they would have to pay him 100 million dollars instantly, something the already struggling twitter could not do. Hali is the opposite of m usk, a kind man who thinks of wellbeing of others, not just himself, his family love him, unlike m usk's family who all find him repugnant. Even changing their names to make sure they can get away from him. Hali actually creates things instead of taking credit for others work.

Now don't get me wrong, his dad is probably a dick. But when push comes to shove, he gave his son everything he needed even if he wasn't nice about it. He NEVER left him out to dry. 20:20 don't forget the 2 best parts of the Hali v Elon story!
    1. after selling his company to Twitter and starting to work there, he gave all (or most but if I recall correctly, its all) of the money he earned from the sale to the Icelandic government as thanks for all the social-services they provide to their citizens which gave him the opportunity to do all the work and make the company he sold to twitter despite his disability. (something the US should take note of, when you invest in your citizens it can pay off exponentially)
    2. part of the deal when Hali sold his business to and and started working at Twitter meant that when Elon fired him he got a HUUUGGGEEE severance payout or something and then on top of that, after Elon talked with his lawyers, trying to get out of this new mess he made for himself, it turns out that, neither is there anyway out of it (like buying Twitter ironically lol) he had to publicly apologize to Hali or risk getting sued 😂😂😂
    Oh Elon, always falling deeper and deeper into the holes you dig for yourself, its a good thing he's a billionaire because (we don't have universal healthcare, which is a crime against humanity) he's shooting himself in the foot so much, he's gonna shoot it off 😉 💥🦶🔫

      Ha! Not even close!
      Corrections for this sad opinion video;
      Logically, Geezer needs to ask himself about some factual inaccuracies he presented in this low budget, poorly produced "opinion" piece (because it's clear he didn't do his research);

      To be honest that's not a reason to realise he's an idiot. You're missing that Halli and quite a few others haf what would best be described as poisoned clauses in their contracts.
    Halli specifically sold his company to Twitter and had the payment given out as wages over time so that he would pay the maximum amount of tax possible (which is why he's so popular). Firing him would mean Twitter would have to pay the entire lump sum to him immediately as well as a hefty severance and breach of contract fee.
    There are a number of other employees at the company that have similar Deadman switches in their contracts, and Musk attempted to fire them all before HR managed to put out the fire and get Musk to personally retract his words.

Imagine taking end of semester exams all day it is pressured and stressed environment all day everyday, but as geeks that's what we do . However, any manufacturing proto type first effort is even harder, and literally involves thousands of committed technicals. Yet I have never, ever heard Elon Musk mention any of them and their successes. Not once ? There has to be more than 3 three people working as engineers in those vast big buildings ? But I only hear about only one guy, how terrific this just one guy is staying late, like all the other three, are staying late too, yet no one knows these 3 ?

    "Microwaved Kevin Durand" is my new favorite Elon description, although Durand is much better looking and a better actor. I did a deep dive into Musk's past like a lot of people did after the Twitter situation. Holy crap. His history is mind-blowing and not in a good way. I think my favorite story is how Musk nearly killed himself and Peter Thiel when he bought a brand new $1 million McLaren with his Zip2 money, did not insure it, and immediately crashed it after turning to Thiel and saying, "Watch this." The 2 men were extremely lucky to come out of that uninjured. They had to hitchhike to their meeting. There are so many terrible stories about this guy, lying about everything, overpromising in the extreme, screwing people over (including the founders of Tesla), etc. that it's amazing so many worship him as a god. He's not even a demigod. He is also the least clever troll on the internet. He clearly thinks he's a genius but the evidence proves otherwise. He's a genius opportunist for sure.
