I don’t blame the devs for this, imagine your work all being flushed down the drain and also having to deliver the news to the community yourself. It’s Blizzards shitty execs that are to blame for OW’s state
@@certifiedclassic2770 no, blame the devs too. They need to stick it up to Activision and actually have some fucking integrity instead of just bowing down accepting the loss
Read somewhere the “Activision” standards were swayed by how quickly Diablo ‘Immoral’ made millions and decided the ROI was not good enough for resources poured into PVE
Yeah, that sounds depressingly plausible. They probably did the math and decided that the man-hours they'd have to pour into PvE weren't worth it if the same dev time could pump out several new maps and characters to get people spending for skins instead.
Lmao exactly. The fact that they think Blizzard is still associated with “quality” shows how out of touch they have become with their players over the years.
I loved OW1. I played that game even when people were dogging it during the content drought. I had so much fun, and when I heard about OW2 and how they were splitting the PVE from the PVP. I started to have my concerns. And I didn't like the free to play model with a battle pass much either. But I was still hopeful that the PVE could get me reinvested. But after this news I just uninstalled the game. Only Blizzard could take a game that I (a fairly casual player) loved, and slowly killed it until I just stopped caring.
Pretty similar story here. Really enjoyed 1 and some of the changes in 2, but the monetization scheme ruined it. I was already a bit tired of the game and Activision blizzards bs but the PVE was the thing I was holding out for and was most hyped for. With it cancelled, I have no reason to play this game.
I did the exact same thing, I used to love this game(until Brigiette came out) and was so hyped up about the PvE, I loved OW1 with the PvP and the event missions, but when the news arrived I just stopped caring, the PvP is still fun, but I'm just got tired of BS and uninstalled it!
Same. I had about 2000 hours altogether (most in OW1). I was holding out despite the PvP being a total mess. I uninstalled, after having it installed since April 2017, the day they announced they were cancelling it.
Same dude. Overwatch is the most unique shooter I’ve ever played and it has still yet to be replicated to the same level of polish. The hero designs, art direction, animations, hero personalities, voice acting, etc is all SS tier. Playing things like cod and halo growing up, I never thought of fps games as anything but casual fun. OW came out and totally changed my perspective. It’s the only shooter where I felt like my game knowledge is just as important as my aim, if not more. I’ve tried other games like Apex and Valorant and while they can be fun, they don’t challenge me mentally in the same way that Overwatch does. I will keep playing as long as they keep updating the PvP because after all, that is the part of the game that hooked me. But it is a tragedy that Blizzard has managed to take all of their amazing IPs and just throw them in the garbage or disregard player feedback. It’s not just OW, this whole company is a disaster.
It is with a heavy heart that I announce that my wallet does not meet the requirements for a blizzard quality experience. It is no longer in my plan to deliver Blizzard a single cent.
For real, I still play with friends on there every so often but if this is the path they wanna go down, they will never get a dime outta me ever again.
I'm also just beyond gutted to announce that I stopped playing Overwatch in March, and have instead been playing Street Fighter 6 every night. It's with a heavy heart that I reward a studio who put love into their biggest franchise with my time and appreciation.
I was like "okay cool video I guess, more people are sharing the same sentiment I have and bringing it up" - then 13:03 kicked in and FUCKING THANK YOU. Every content creator so far who ranted about the cancellation is just like "Oh I'm so upset :c" then proceeded to praise the roadmap because they can't leave this game or they lose their entire audience. The way you talked here is the first genuine reaction I see, so kudos to you. This is exactly how I feel after these morons took a gem of a game and ruined it under every possible aspect. This is how I feel after sticking with a game in a comatose state for months just for everything to change for the worst in favour of greed and braindead balancing. I hope this serves as a good textbook tutorial on how to kill a successful game so maybe it won't happen for great future titles in the future. Fuck Bobby, fuck Blizzard.
It time like this that I also like to remind people that there is a live service game that can pull off pvp and pve with less man power and money backing them, Destiny 2.
I though in Legend of Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom, both were almost announced on the same times. Look at that, a full Zelda game with story, lore, mechanics and should we really forgive blizzard? The only thing they update are those lame shops
@@crossdaboss8914 i think its less because the consoles are "HD" and more because teams are just bigger so its harder to communicate with your team purely because of how many members of the team there are
I love how they talk about shifting from a large update to a seasonal release where ironically they could have done the same with the PvE content. Just drop the base PvE content with a few characters, and maps and add more with every seasonal update. You're a live service game after all..
It clearly took them a few years to look at how other games do battle passes and shop rotation and then maybe another year developing the worst ones possible
Main reasons I don't play OW2: I can't unlock the new Heroes, I can't unlock new skins, the community became even more toxic to each other and it's a Blizzard game.
i didn't try overwatch 2 thanks to your first video, the fact that i have to give my phone plan information just to play was ridiculous, so thank to you i am not part of all this BS that is happening with this game
@@SakuyalzayoiTheMaidthey made it so only brand new accounts need to verify. It’s to prevent people from avoiding bans by just making new accounts because you can only have your number tied to one account. But I agree it’s a nuisance and there should be other ways to verify

@illuminous as a person playing the game feels like the devs actually care exspecially with the pace of updates and feedback recently has been really good games not perfect but it's a massive improvement in terms of communication But there's soo many things that are a mess like skin prices but I don't quite get why more games don't get this same level of backlash for having 20$ skins cause alot of games do it not saying it's right just don't get why overwatch is The one people point to when other games like apex have 500$ cosmetics or 160 if you get during a certain time
Jeff probably left because he saw this coming from a mile away. I doubt he would've been able to stop Bobby Cock-Dick at all from doing this. At best, he probably would've at least made the company be more honest about this news, but very little else would probably change if he was still there.
PvE guy here. My friends and I played Overwatch mainly because the story and characters were amazing. We played pretty casually, but would drop the odd tenner on a skin here and there if we felt like we had some good fun. When Overwatch 2 was released, we didn't download it because the only reason to would've been the PvE. With the announcement of the cancelling of said PvE, I don't think we'll ever play it again.
The icing on the cake for me is the fact that they didn’t even give us a genuine apology after all this, just damage control. Like they really don’t give a fuck about the people whatsoever.
I knew from the start that something wrong is going on at blizzard. So i wasnt really suprised that it got canned. (Altough that might be the case cause i am a Team Frotress 2 player lol.)
I actually am surprised it got canned, to be honest. Not because I believe in Blizzards integrity or anything - that died when they released Immortal and Reforged and tried to shut down Heroes of the Storm without even telling the competitive teams that had been spending money and effort for a season that wouldn't have happened - but because they so desperately need good PR right now. Their crap is on fire on just about every angle imaginable and this announcement is like a generous helping of napalm strategically applied to the few pieces of their community goodwill that weren't yet charred to a crisp. I was hoping some last strands of sanity would prevent the career execs with more salary than brains and a complete lack of human empathy from axing the only thing in Overwatch "2" that justified the greedy cash shop and battlepass to the community. Even a toddler can comprehend that you can't promise people something in exchange for something else, take that something else and then not give them what you promised and have people okay with it. Whoever made that decision has less emotional intelligence than a Kindergartener - or, more likely, decided that the community would be outraged for a couple of weeks and then go right back to spending in the battlepass.
All Hope Lost.. So SAD I've been playing OW since day 1 with over 2500 hours. I love the game and believed in a bright future and always stayed hopeful and positive. When they LIED I quit for good ! The Blizz team is a mess the quality has been awful ( Heroes not ready at launch, Broken updates, Crazy Bugs and much more). OW2 does not have the magic OW1 had and now they LIED and no PvE... After 7 years of OW I broke free and it and feels good. Overwatch will never break my heart again.. OW is just a broken Cash Grab now,,, CYA .... AKA.... Warhand
I would’ve been fine if they gave us the entire pve with a small handful of talents (like the 6 they originally showed for Tracer, Mei, Rein and Lucio for example) and maybe like a few seasons later they update it and give the endless replayable hero missions, that would make everyone play the story mode a second time to get all the talents and stuff, and if they didn’t see an end in sight, don’t end the story mode. Just keep adding dlc stuff like destiny 2. It would’ve been cool to have a story mode of the omnic crisis and play that and the early days of Overwatch until they disbanded
I always thought they could have broke it down into smaller campaigns too (Original Overwatch characters, Blackwatch, Junkertown, Mcree + Ashe) to keep the storylines focused and would have made it more manageable then the entire roster in some massive interconnecting story but who needs that when we have SKINS
Just got this in my recommendations and reality was somehow worse that the one that inspired this rant a month ago. They have so little confidence in the PvE that they aren't releasing the second batch until 2024 in order to implement feedback from the Season 6 release. So, at least a *2-season/4-month* gap between PvE releases AND you have to pay for each one. Hilarious video though. Really cathartic to see all the reasons for the player base's rage lined up like this.
3:00 Overwatch 1 died for Bobby's sins. 21:10 We heard rumors of Project Titan way back when. We assumed it was going to be world of starcraft or something. The road from that to heroes of the swarm to overwatch seems to make sense. Spongebob only ever gets more relevant.
i remember when OW2 released, i took a couple weeks break because i was mad and disappointed in blizzard for not delivering a full sequel like what had been advertised in 2019. but i came back and gave it a second chance and kept pushing because i thought they would eventually deliver... like they said they would... now it's just like, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.
Well... I paid for overwatch 1, a pay to play game, in wich i could unlock every skim that came out for free just by playing, i could play every single heroe that came out the moment it was released, we had the ptr to test new updates & enjoy having the balance changes earlier... Soooo... Who's gonna return that to me? Bc honestly, just giving us kiriko for free certainly isn't and wasn't enough for what we have lost... The only thing we've gained is getting updates regularly, WICH WE LOST BC OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS GAME!!!
Yeah overwatch was the only sequel I've ever seen that shipped with less features, maps removed etc. You could even argue it shipped with LESS CHARACTERS because they do this thing where they remove bugged characters temporarily. But all of this would be more tolerable, if they didn't FUCKING REMOVE OVERWATCH 1 FROM MY POSSESSION, THOSE MOTHERFUCKERS, I PAYED FULL PRICE YOU STUPID FU-
When I bought the watch point pack (I already owned OW1) I assumed it was to give Blizzard money up front because OW1 wasn't doing well and they needed it to fund OW2 / PvE. But because the skins were selling good they decided to just go back on their initial promise because why make a game for $60 if you can make 3 skins for the same price but a fraction of the effort.
you gave them a reason to cancel it , that's why early access and preorders are hurtful to a game if you pay before they get lazy ,they already got your money so they just give you the bare minimum .
@@spacewargamer4181 of course it does , there are many example of early access titles which never dilivered on their promises , you can count OW2 to that too they've sold it with the main argument that they would make an PvE mode but then they've released it without said mode , it was just a shop update and change in monetazation, making people think there would be PvE in the future , this made the game basiclly early access since you only got half the promised game and also a lot AAA Studios release early access games without calling them so , Anthem was a prime example of that and look at what has happend to that game.
If we were content creators we could have played it. But now we might never. Who knows. Maybe someone will buy the ip one day and we'll get what the PVE was going to be. That company will make a lot of money.
it sucks to see overwatch being treated worse than titanfall 2 and team fortress 2 at this point, I know they both suffer from bots but at least they don't monetize the crap out from the community and not balance changing the game every 3 days, I always wanted to try overwatch 1 but i feel like its not worth it anymore which is sucks because back when Overwatch 1 was looking really good, i missed the train :(
Well at least Titanfall 2 DESERVED that "2" in their title and ADDED an AMAZING campaign experience (although short). With the Northstar mod that fixed the PvP mode I may just reinstall it. That is if I can get off Deep Rock Galactic. Regardless, there are a ton of great games and I for one am DONE with ONLINE ONLY LIVE SERVICE SHITE that FOCUSES on PREDATORY PRACTICES and FOMO.
Original Overwatch was in fact a blast. It wasn’t really _my_ kind of game, so I fell off of it after a while, but it absolutely held its own against TF2 and then some. It was clever, new, played SO smoothly, and the team dynamics were genuinely fun.
Imagine if you go back in time to 2019 to see the 4 people that actually played the pve hearing how much they enjoyed it and hyped for it just to tell them that it gets delayed 4 years later only for them to cancel it entirely
I feel Blizzard made a HUGE mistake being bought by Activision. Like Blizzard before was slipping but their stuff was still good. Now they're taking huge as hell stumbles, getting up, and are acting as if nothing bad is going on, even though both their arms, legs, most of their ribs, and vertebra are broken/smashed to the point they just might as well be put out of their misery.
The Blizzard Quality Experience should also include: -Signing up wouldnt take phone numbers from Cricket and other companies. -25L/7W rank updates - Ranking system error that lowered people 2 ranks from OW1 - The fact that in 4/5 QP games I play, there is at least 1 or 2 grandmaster players (I am Plat 5 on a good day) - A report system that does absolutely nothing to extremely toxic trolls. - The terrible leaver sitch in QP, and the worsening one in Ranked - Steamroll City - The terrible indigestion I get when I eat tacos - Aaron Keller coming to my house and removing the tread off my tires. - My dog tripping me cause he is constantly under foot. - Those cactuses that shoot spines at you. - The number 3 appearing as a coefficient when trying to solve quadratic diophantine equations - That christmas movie Lindsey Lohan starred in with the guy from Glee. - Joe Gatto leaving Impractical Jokers. - Learning Jello is made from horse bones, but not vice versa - The etymology of Helicopter - And Worst of all, X-men 3: The Last Stand. This is the dumpster fire they have turned one of my favorite games into
What angers me the most is that everyone is defending them. And i dont mean just "oh youre wrong theyre doing their best" i mean people who "say" that they "disagree" with blizzard but then will 2 seconds later go "oh this road map looks great at least" like no if youre going to stand against blizzard actually do it. Stop giving blizzard ANY credit. Many many big streamers and content creators will say one thing and then still say positive things about blizzard. You cant give them any compliments if you want change. You have to be FIRM
The worst thing about all this is they try to shift all the blame to Jeff Kaplan..that DUDE WAS “FIRED” 10 YEARS AGO. Just WTF have they been doing for the last couple years
The term Roadmap lost any value several discontinued games ago, for example anthem. You could say for 4 years, pve was the Roadmap. That's how much it is worth when devs show a Roadmap. It's essentially just stuff to potentially be canceled later. We seem to be in an age where so don't sell product, just promised what the product might be in a year, maybe.
You know when Overwatch launched with its overhype, there was a game that released by gearbox to compete with it. it was called Battleborn, it had 25 characters at launch, about 9 maps, 3 game modes and 9 story missions with a good campaign. This game had skill trees that you could invest in through the match and story missions that felt different every time you played them. This game later got 2 new game modes and 5, more DLC characters along with 10 story missions. this game died in 2021 due to low player count. this game had 3x the quality and 5x the content of overwatch. this game is Battleborn and its a crime that Overwatch killed it.
THANK YOU. You voiced my rage about this LIE from Blizzard. Many other content creators are huffing massive Copium about this shitty treatment from Overwatch. They've been lying for years, this game was never coming out. Thank you for calling it like it is!!
I absolutely despise how they phrase the cancellation as "what the fans deserve." It makes it seem as though they're doing all of these terrible things as a result of the fan base. Then again, Blizzard is a company that's really good at victim blaming so....
Worst thing so far? They didnt gave an genuine apology as far as I know. Not a single "I'm sorry" or "forgive us" in the live stream. Yeah you can let another person Write all the sht you are saying out loud to transcribe it but they never (as far I remember) said sorry face while seeing their faces
Yea its annoying as well. The most annoying thing to me is the devs acting like "we're actually releasing more content than any other season before!!!"
I know it’s my fault for being a total dumbass and trusting blizzard. But I loved OW so much that I poured hundreds of hours into it, it’s the only pvp fps I actually enjoy, so I was over the moon when they announced the pve, I even bought all the battle passes and access to the beta for way too much money, because I trusted in them to make a pve that I enjoyed. I hate the play pattern now, the game just isn’t fun anymore and I feel so betrayed that they just took all the good faith and hope I had in them. Needless to say I will never touch a blizzard product again
10:23-10:26 😂😂😂 Edit: Kang, every time I watch a video of you criticizing something, there’s always a part in the video that has me crying laughing while repeating said part about 5-8 times 😂
They laughing us in every sense. i have the feeling Bobby Kotick will have an extra "choped" horns soon. Greetings Kang, i waited this video since they canceled the PVE to see who you mock from this liars. The only excuse tho add the "2" to the game is the greedy "free to play" costume.
Bliz: "We COULD slow down PVP progress and focus more on PVE" Everyone: "Yes do that" Bliz: "But instead we're deciding to focus on PVP" Everyone: "Why????? We don't need more PVP"
I should be rightfully pissed, and I damn well am But I’m more sad than anything, since I played the first game only a few months after the full game was released, and continued constantly playing it until around 2019/2020 This game was such a magical fucking thing at it’s peak back in 2016, which hurts me like hell to see it spiral in a neverending rabbit hole of greed, laziness, and false hopes/promises in only a couple of years
My theory is bobby wanted money now because he thought they'd merge with microsoft , so he didn’t have time to cash out later. He needed his payday sooner because if he waited he'd be sharing it with Microsoft.
There was a game called "dead frontier" that the solo dev had a subscription for. He promised new content and updates and as it turns out he spent like 6+ months not actually doing anything. Self admitted. This infuriated me to no end. Now imagine if something like a massive multi-million dollar corporation did the same thing. Turns out people are more willing to forgive the corporation than the Solo dev. I am gonna be honest here. I may or may not be psychic. Because OW2 is exactly what i thought it would be when they announced it. Slthey wanted more profitable monetization and the PVE is gonna be heavily grindy if it ever comes out at all.
Questwatch is literally their fortnite island. It's going to be a demo to see how people react and if they can squeeze sheckles out of people it will be the NEW "pve" mode
A Company that made 7.53 BILLION dollars in revenue in 2022 and yet they somehow want people to believe that they can't pull off a simple PVE experience cause it would take up too many resources. Just wow.
At this point, it still sucks to see that this happened, but god damn is it funny to see. And then so many other people just move to a DIFFERENT blizzard game. Like, not even a snap of the fingers and they're there. The whole situation sucks, but now I'm just laughing. Good video too. Was very funny. I always enjoy a good rant
The devs are literally sitting here talking about Overwatch 2 like it’s the rebirth of a failure similar to FF XIV 2.0 and how they’re delivering so much content and yet their road map for 3 seasons has less content than 1 XIV major patch. The delusion on display is astounding.
The only thing that could feesably make sense is that when Jeff Kaplan left they took most of the talent, management, and staff from blizzard or that they were funneled into Diablo 4 so that they could potentially milk that. Then just left whatever was left to throw shit at the wall.
It's rather convenient how that delay in informing everyone that PvE was going to be left in the dust happens to sit dead middle in between announcing the financial results for 2022, which would have probably caused stocks to drop had they been honest, and the financial results for 2023, where they are hoping Diablo 4 numbers would swamp any bad news from Overwatch 2 going down like a noisy wet far in the middle of a library.
When the devs started focusing on pvp and being free to play i told all my friends that I didn't like it and something was fishy when Overwatch2 was supposed to be PvE focused and all my friends said I was overreacting and some even said I was hating. And yet here we are now 😔 after not enjoying the new pvp and terrible free to play model I held hope for the pve because its what I wanted so bad for a campaign and lore. And blizzard canceled it after a majority of the advertising was the PvE and the reason a majority of the fan base even was still playing the game. Blizzard made one of the most popular games ever made and ran it into the ground and neglected it for years. This needs a Netflix documentary for real
This is probably a fucking war crime of a mismanagement. The game lost around 70% of it's player base shortly after release if I remember correctly, then they lost 50% of it's already significantly reduced player base, after they announced the PvE fiasco, at least as of today. All that aside, they can't even get the PvP to function correctly after years of developing this dogshit of a game. To name a few of the issues that I've encountered personally: 1- matchmaking is still objectively dogshit. 2- during the first couple of months my favorite role got the Bronze 5 bug (not the other roles). No matter what I did, I couldn't climb until Ramatra's patch. 3- there's nothing to do outside of comp for F2P. 4- shit ton of bugs, like the one where your teammates health bars disappear mid match on point capture based map's second round. Also massive fps drops from time to time. 5- Game breaking bugs like loading into a blue hell bellow the map, causing you to have to quit on competitive. You also get penalized for Blizzard's incompetence. That's just to name a few things.... It's just a lost cause man. At this point, no matter how much we love the game, it just objectively deserves to die.
It doesn't surprise me that Blizzard rushed an announcement for Overwatch 2 right after the Blitzchung stuff, then also announced that Overwatch 2 was basically cancelled right before Diablo 4 came out. It's all timed to minimize damages because they think the players are dumb
I don't get it, why didn't they released PvE with all the maps, but with only a couple of heroes, like lets say 8 inplace of the full roster and tone down the skill tree of 3 branches into 2 branches.
Lmao my friends and I went back to destiny after blizzard revealed they lied, too bad destiny has gone downhill as well, you have to pay for all the new content and the level system is awful; better than blizzards lies and unrewarding gameplay
@abyssalstars7614 Destiny 2 be like: "Hey, you already paid ~$80 for this game It's going free to play now😊 " "What's that? You want your money back?. Not going to happen! "😂 "
"that has to fall under some sort of form of false marketing". honestly since they saw how much u can get away with the no mans sky launch, this has just become an industry standard because there are no reprocusions
Like he said, you would of made so much more money if you stuck with the original PvE, even if you didn't give us all of the players skill trees at once (I mean the fact that it was a lot was a valid point). Also while you can't buy a good reputation directly, but delivering on your promise and delivering a repayable PvE overwatch experience would give such a P.R boost, that alone will potentially raise the chance of making MONEY!
The best example i can think of is a friend telling you they’re goin out to pick up some cake and ice cream the next day, you get anxiously excited for it, but weeksto months pass and you get a bit pissed that they didn’t get you ny of that, and when you confront them on it, they say that it was too much money and effort to get that, so they just plan to get you some bread and milk when they feel like it. You’re not only not gettin what you were told you were gettin, but you’re getting a watered down version at a time that they see fit, ie, whenever they want to release the damn thing. And the worst is, they’re gonna claim that you can’t get mad at them for not delivering cause they “gave you what you wanted”, but this isn’t wht anyone wanted. It’s not what was claimed, it’s just a half-assed attempt to cover their asses.
The fall of overwatch "2" is so great that not only will it go down as the biggest Dishonor and scam in the history of gaming but im also hoping that in the future, schools will have it in the history books and give a long lecture about it. looking forward to that especially when they explain the "Blizzard Quality Experience." im wondering if that's gonna be an insult. looking forward to it but my favorite part about all this is how this company started "The lootbox gambling era" then took it away and turned it into "The financial predator era"
I was looking forward to actually knowing the lore in game rather than third party stuff like their comcis. Now that's just not gonna happen. I mean it will happen but with seasonal events that are bare bones and will probably half lack luster rewards
Honestly I gave up on Blizzard after the harassment lawsuits. I may have returned to Overwatch because of Jeff Kaplan, who I did respect cause you could tell he was passionate about the game. And I might have returned to Overwatch 2 for the PvE and never would pull out my wallet for the game. Little did I know that Jeff left the team shortly after the Overwatch 2 announcement which was a PR stunt for the harassment lawsuits and was around the time I stopped playing Overwatch. And only recently heard about Jeff Kaplan leaving AFTER the cancellation of the PvE. So now I really have zero reason to trust Blizzard on anything they do given how they managed to drive a beloved developer away from their dream game and are clearly willing and happy to lie to your face and care more about your wallet than your happiness, especially after the diablo immortal incident (And I will not be surprised if Diablo 4 is just as bad if not worse than its predecessor.) I think it's really about time people stop giving this company chances to "Mend their mistakes" cause clearly the amount of mending they will be willing to do is sweeping everything under the rug and gaslighting their customers into believing in false hope. People... seriously...this is an abusive relationship between you and Activision Blizzard, they say they will change for the better but they never have or ever will...get the fuck out and stop making excuses for them. At least until the root of the rot is forcefully torn from the company, which is Bobby Kotick and his like-minded executives.
Update: So the PVE has now been completely cancelled, the entire point of the sequel is now gone. Good job.
Overwatch Rule 34 artists worked more throughout those 5 years than the developers themselves.

Pretty similar story here. Really enjoyed 1 and some of the changes in 2, but the monetization scheme ruined it.
Same. I'm ok with lootboxes. i want ow1 Back. There is No ow2 anyway. So let me Play the Game I payed for.
It is with a heavy heart that I announce that my wallet does not meet the requirements for a blizzard quality experience. It is no longer in my plan to deliver Blizzard a single cent.
Rejoice, you've seen the light
For real, I still play with friends on there every so often but if this is the path they wanna go down, they will never get a dime outta me ever again.
“We have learnt so much about money managing in these past 8 months…”
Ive heard literally nobody praise the roadmap lol, I just dont believe you
@@ironman1458 look up "This could save Overwatch 2". Literally that, a copium follow-up of a rage video.
It's times like this, that I like to remind people that Halo 2 was made in 10 months.
I'll say this game development before hd consoles was alot easier than it is now but still overwatch 2 is just a ridiculous situation
It time like this that I also like to remind people that there is a live service game that can pull off pvp and pve with less man power and money backing them, Destiny 2.
@ND 84 destiny 2 has more man power than overwatch though and I wouldn't use destiny 2 as a good example of a live service game
I am tempted to believe they waited till the made a profit on OW2. Then decided to announce the cancelation.
It clearly took them a few years to look at how other games do battle passes and shop rotation and then maybe another year developing the worst ones possible
Can already tell this channel is gonna blow up once it hits the algorithm the right way, the humour, the editing , the thumbnails all are excellent .
fr
Main reasons I don't play OW2: I can't unlock the new Heroes, I can't unlock new skins, the community became even more toxic to each other and it's a Blizzard game.
i didn't try overwatch 2 thanks to your first video, the fact that i have to give my phone plan information just to play was ridiculous, so thank to you i am not part of all this BS that is happening with this game
i didnt knew they were asking for phone info for ow2 cause they apparently let all the ow1 players just pass through
@@SakuyalzayoiTheMaidthey made it so only brand new accounts need to verify. It’s to prevent people from avoiding bans by just making new accounts because you can only have your number tied to one account. But I agree it’s a nuisance and there should be other ways to verify
Jeff Kaplan would have never let this happen. I miss him.
It's probably why he left the time when it was said to be canceled lines up with Jeff and many others leaving
@@crossdaboss8914 feel sorry more so for the staff as they have to take the brunt of the hostility and hatred of the fan base meanwhile, the execs who actually chose to cancel it are just sat comfortably in their offices, more then happy to collect their bonus for squeezing as much money from their player base as possible.
@illuminous as a person playing the game feels like the devs actually care exspecially with the pace of updates and feedback recently has been really good games not perfect but it's a massive improvement in terms of communication
But there's soo many things that are a mess like skin prices but I don't quite get why more games don't get this same level of backlash for having 20$ skins cause alot of games do it not saying it's right just don't get why overwatch is The one people point to when other games like apex have 500$ cosmetics or 160 if you get during a certain time
Jeff likely saw the writing on the wall and bailed while he still could. Same probably goes for all the others who left around the same time.
they talked about starwatch more than the actual pve updates which shows how much they care about pve sadly
Jeff probably left because he saw this coming from a mile away. I doubt he would've been able to stop Bobby Cock-Dick at all from doing this. At best, he probably would've at least made the company be more honest about this news, but very little else would probably change if he was still there.
Bro before starwatch came out they were literally treating it like a sneak peak to the potential of what pve would be
@@ironman1458 Yes, and I hate Blizz more now
PvE guy here.
I just want to applaud the raw emotion I can feel every time you speak. You really spit venom when you’re pissed, and I love it.
You just said everything I have ever felt about this topic, and you said it perfectly.
I also thought so based on how little they were talking about it, but I just assumed at most a delay not the whole thing canned
@@KangFasho It wasn't real in the first place.
It was a bunch of bullshots and paid media and youtube shills lying to the audience.
OW is just a broken Cash Grab now,,,
CYA .... AKA.... Warhand
2.2k people liked the OW2 vid and 32k dislike it. WHO THE HELL LIKE IT!!!
The new people that didn't play the first one probably
They could've done so many things but they literally choose to down the THE WORST POSSIBLE ROUTE
Blizzard: "Nah, too hard. We'd rather you play Starwatch instead"
But all of this would be more tolerable, if they didn't FUCKING REMOVE OVERWATCH 1 FROM MY POSSESSION, THOSE MOTHERFUCKERS, I PAYED FULL PRICE YOU STUPID FU-
When I bought the watch point pack (I already owned OW1)
I assumed it was to give Blizzard money up front because OW1 wasn't doing well and they needed it to fund OW2 / PvE.
@@Nonpain You got it wrong
@@spacewargamer4181 he has it 100% correct. No one actually punishes these garbage companies for making overpriced trash
@@arnoldmunez5057 Read the comments again, early access have nothing to do with this. You are now both wrong.
My heart aches for Overwatch fans that were looking forward to all the awesome stuff we saw in 2019. (that’s me, I’m that person)
If we were content creators we could have played it. But now we might never.
Who knows. Maybe someone will buy the ip one day and we'll get what the PVE was going to be. That company will make a lot of money.
Bro your editing is top tier. I laughed my ass off just from some of the goofy stuff. Loved it.
it sucks to see overwatch being treated worse than titanfall 2 and team fortress 2 at this point, I know they both suffer from bots but at least they don't monetize the crap out from the community and not balance changing the game every 3 days, I always wanted to try overwatch 1 but i feel like its not worth it anymore which is sucks because back when Overwatch 1 was looking really good, i missed the train :(
you have my sympathy for not playing ov 1
And yet they make more money than ever as pathetic morons still spend all their cash on diablo immortal that is a borderline scam.
What im getting from this is that the rumors were true. They were totally drinking and playing games on the job instead on working on their own game
The Blizzard Quality Experience should also include:
-Signing up wouldnt take phone numbers from Cricket and other companies.
-25L/7W rank updates
- Ranking system error that lowered people 2 ranks from OW1
- The fact that in 4/5 QP games I play, there is at least 1 or 2 grandmaster players (I am Plat 5 on a good day)
- A report system that does absolutely nothing to extremely toxic trolls.
- The terrible leaver sitch in QP, and the worsening one in Ranked
- Steamroll City
- The terrible indigestion I get when I eat tacos
- Aaron Keller coming to my house and removing the tread off my tires.
- My dog tripping me cause he is constantly under foot.
- Those cactuses that shoot spines at you.
- The number 3 appearing as a coefficient when trying to solve quadratic diophantine equations
- That christmas movie Lindsey Lohan starred in with the guy from Glee.
- Joe Gatto leaving Impractical Jokers.
- Learning Jello is made from horse bones, but not vice versa
- The etymology of Helicopter
- And Worst of all, X-men 3: The Last Stand.
This is the dumpster fire they have turned one of my favorite games into
This is my favorite comment in this whole comment section so far, thank you for giving me a laugh
Other than the steamrolls, my dog, the number 3, Joe Gatto and X3: The Last Stand. OW2 has come a long way since last year.
Don’t tell this guy that the story missions are 15 bucks for 3 missions.
This is by far the best blizzard quality experience I’ve ever got
fortnite literally doing more than overwatch
Fortnite adding more content in 1 season update than overwatch does in a sequel 😑
@@KangFasho holy shit I got a reply from you
What angers me the most is that everyone is defending them.
Just WTF have they been doing for the last couple years
Blizzard Quality Experience 👌
This is the first video I've watched and I already love your channel! Keep it up!
Maybe the real PVE was the friends we made along the way.
10:23-10:26
😂😂😂
Edit: Kang, every time I watch a video of you criticizing something, there’s always a part in the video that has me crying laughing while repeating said part about 5-8 times 😂
I never got into Overwatch 1. But I decided I would play Overwatch 2 once the PvE was added. I have made the correct decision.
Call of duty can put out a barley functional game within a year but overwatch can’t even get a game mode out in 5 that’s wild
Will say this what overwatch was trying to do was abit more grand than what cod does but 5 years is alot
Thank you brother i needed a reason to cry thanks for opening my wounds wide open 😭😭😭 in all seriousness amazing video keep it going m8
They laughing us in every sense. i have the feeling Bobby Kotick will have an extra "choped" horns soon. Greetings Kang, i waited this video since they canceled the PVE to see who you mock from this liars. The only excuse tho add the "2" to the game is the greedy "free to play" costume.
Bliz: "We COULD slow down PVP progress and focus more on PVE"
Everyone: "Yes do that"
Bliz: "But instead we're deciding to focus on PVP"
Everyone: "Why????? We don't need more PVP"
I should be rightfully pissed, and I damn well am
But I’m more sad than anything, since I played the first game only a few months after the full game was released, and continued constantly playing it until around 2019/2020
This game was such a magical fucking thing at it’s peak back in 2016, which hurts me like hell to see it spiral in a neverending rabbit hole of greed, laziness, and false hopes/promises in only a couple of years
It's about time you talked about this
Thank you for calling out the year bullshit. Not enough people talk about the entire life cycle of OW2 the PVE was already cancelled.
Perfect video mate, it’s pathetic how blizzard are not ashamed of all this
My theory is bobby wanted money now because he thought they'd merge with microsoft , so he didn’t have time to cash out later.
And a few weeks later, we learned the story missions are NOT free!?
Truly OW2 is Blizzard's magnum opus of project mismanagement...
Blizzard is going to make the hole in the matrix move and keep working on the pve and release it as overwatch 3 and make it an absolute banger
"Blizzard quality experience." Huh, that reminds me of something else I've heard. Oh, right! "Usual fallout standards."
Now this...was therapeutic
Great vídeo ^ ^. I loved the sincerity and bluntness, its rare here on TH-cam, youre amazing!
5:06 That really pisses me off...going forward though, no you can't just say that when you give us bad news.
Overwatch rule 34 really keeping the game alive lol.
To name a few of the issues that I've encountered personally:
1- matchmaking is still objectively dogshit.
"you wanna go talk to that girl over there" killed me just a little XD
Last week was a personal line crossed for me and I have stopped playing Overwatch.
Pls keep making videos, I love your content so much ❤
Glad your enjoying it and don’t worry a new vid is coming out this weekend!
I don't get it, why didn't they released PvE with all the maps, but with only a couple of heroes, like lets say 8 inplace of the full roster and tone down the skill tree of 3 branches into 2 branches.
This had potential to become the next Destiny but it would cost money to pay people
Lmao my friends and I went back to destiny after blizzard revealed they lied, too bad destiny has gone downhill as well, you have to pay for all the new content and the level system is awful; better than blizzards lies and unrewarding gameplay
@abyssalstars7614 Destiny 2 be like:
"Hey, you already paid ~$80 for this game It's going free to play now😊 "
"What's that? You want your money back?. Not going to happen! "😂 "
They learned the secret arts of gaslighting.
"that has to fall under some sort of form of false marketing". honestly since they saw how much u can get away with the no mans sky launch, this has just become an industry standard because there are no reprocusions
If you have to pay just to play the story mod...then the game is NOT FREE TO PLAY!
Havnt felt betrayal this strong from a game company since fallout 76
Like he said, you would of made so much more money if you stuck with the original PvE, even if you didn't give us all of the players skill trees at once (I mean the fact that it was a lot was a valid point). Also while you can't buy a good reputation directly, but delivering on your promise and delivering a repayable PvE overwatch experience would give such a P.R boost, that alone will potentially raise the chance of making MONEY!
Executives in the gaming industry seem to have forgotten what a long term investment is...
"Hey guys after 5 years of development we wanna show you the Roadmap we have been working on" 🤔🤔
The opening is so good, Aaron Keller is just straight lying to us.
“Hey wanna go talk to that girl over there?” I see what you did there 💀
This guy is my feelings personified for real
The fall of overwatch "2" is so great that not only will it go down as the biggest Dishonor and scam in the history of gaming but im also hoping that in the future, schools will have it in the history books and give a long lecture about it. looking forward to that especially when they explain the "Blizzard Quality Experience." im wondering if that's gonna be an insult. looking forward to it
but my favorite part about all this is how this company started "The lootbox gambling era" then took it away and turned it into "The financial predator era"
Loved this video, finally someone with a non biased view
I was looking forward to actually knowing the lore in game rather than third party stuff like their comcis. Now that's just not gonna happen. I mean it will happen but with seasonal events that are bare bones and will probably half lack luster rewards
8:08 HEY HEY! At least no man’s sky’s devs actually turned that around and made a pretty good game
like anger Joe said there no longer blizzard. There now Sleet.
Thank you so much! This is how I felt! 😊❤
So now I really have zero reason to trust Blizzard on anything they do given how they managed to drive a beloved developer away from their dream game and are clearly willing and happy to lie to your face and care more about your wallet than your happiness, especially after the diablo immortal incident (And I will not be surprised if Diablo 4 is just as bad if not worse than its predecessor.)
I think it's really about time people stop giving this company chances to "Mend their mistakes" cause clearly the amount of mending they will be willing to do is sweeping everything under the rug and gaslighting their customers into believing in false hope. People... seriously...this is an abusive relationship between you and Activision Blizzard, they say they will change for the better but they never have or ever will...get the fuck out and stop making excuses for them. At least until the root of the rot is forcefully torn from the company, which is Bobby Kotick and his like-minded executives.
