@@neilmande5148 not really. they need the same maintenance as regualr inline skates + checking the air pressure on the tires. bearings which do come with these are sus rustproof so they are designed and made for those special circumstances.

HI catherine, they work on regular pavement but they would be way slower than regular skates. It's mainly made for off road.

Rollerblades were my method of transportation when i was in middle school. I almost forgot. And I was lucky they were outdoor skates as I tried taking them to an inline rink and they didn't work lol

So where's the clip that shows how you ride up the cliff with these skates? I get the thrill of sliding downhill with big wheels on your feet, but what goes down had to go up, no? So when do we see the fun part? We're talking about 80% of the experience time-wise if you can't ride to the top with a ski lift. Gravity!!!

This looks perfect for where I live. The Asphalt where I live is very coarse and the pavement so cracked and often times it's unavoidable to have to go over hardpacked dirt occasionally which doesn't work well with inline speed skates. These 3wheel ones look just like the big wheel speedskates I like but more capable.

so I am guessing the bearings are water proof or water resistant? and are those wheels poly urethane and/or slip resistant?
bearings are waterproof twin cam, and the wheels are 150mm tires. air is needed, no urethane.

The reason I stopped blading was a rock getting stuck in the wheels, I feel like this increases the odds of that exponentially.

This video is very misleading. I have off road inline skates Powerslide renegade 125 and you can only use them on one specific type of trail. It has to be downhill and it can't be too technical. And the other problem is, how do you get up? Maybe in Vancouver there is a market for these types of skates. I bought them thinking I could skate on easy mountain bike trails and I can't. They just don't roll, I bought rollerski poles which helped and least I could use them but only for short distances. One of the issues is I can't get enough air in the tires, and when I contacted the retailer they completely ignored my requests for help. I obviously received a defective product, but they said they weren't able to help me because powerslide wouldn't send them the replacement wheel. I have roller skis with Pneumatic wheels and have never had any issues with them, I love them, so I thought these would be a great purchase. I am very disappointed and feel like I wasted $700. One issue is the boot is also a horrible fit, otherwise I would just do a 2k loop around. my neighbourhood with my roller ski poles on flat pavement so at least I would be using them. I ended up abandoning these and going back to my regular skates and my roller skis and for off road I just use a mountain bike. Too bad because the idea is good. Maybe the technology will improve. They just don't roll and I am not sure about the air situation, because they have to pretty much always be at 100psi which I can only get enough air into 3 out of the six wheels.
Air tires are much slower than regular PU wheels due to the rubber material of the tire itself, but also due to the wider footprint, because these tires are wider than PU wheels!
The speed also depends on the air pressure! The lower the air pressure the slower the speed - like with your bike.
PS SUV videos mainly show skater going extreme - skating downhill or BMX dirt parks. I agree that we need more videos showing a normal use with poles to use them for endurance training!
but even if you use poles - due to the lower speed / higher rolling resistance you need to practice to get trained in order to master longer distances! If you are using them frequently you will soon step y step increase his endurance to go for longer tours! Anyway i feel that you are already at a good level and practice regularly.
Filling air into the tires - we offer a mini pump including a gauch which is working really well! The pump includes a flexible tube and free “spinning” valve to reach the valve of the tires. I would recommend this one.
You could also use 125mm PU wheels - but he also needs to order 4mm wide frame spacer which need to be placed to the left and right of each wheel. WE have those frame spacer in stock! Pascal Briand
@@PowerslideInlineskates Thanks. I have the pump but I can't only get enough air into 3 out of the 6 tires. I didn't know that I could sub in 125mm PU wheels, I might look into that if I can't solve the air issue. However another issue I have is that I find the Next boot horribly uncomfortable. I had to order online because of Covid 19 so I wasn't able to try the boot on before I made the purchase. The issue there is the liner, the foam is way too stiff, it feels like concrete around my feet and ankles. The buckles are also too difficult to operate, and the laces don't tighten properly. I switched them out with a normal work boot lace which is much better. I am hopeful that if I can get a better liner, and fix the air issue I might be able to use them with roller ski poles for an endurance workout but I don't have much hope other than that. I am going to stick to pavement skating for now. It would be great if a skate could be developed for XC MTB trails but I don't see this happening. Is there a roller ski out there that can really do this? Again most of the videos out there just show flat gravel paths and rough pavement which isn't the same thing. For DH it works but you have to have a bike park that has lift access and good flow trails.
