I'm somewhat hesitant to keep doing this. Because I think sometimes people obsess over what technology to use, and then they forget about things that are 10x more important (product, marketing, and speed of iteration).
Ramon and Blaine are such big inspirations for me. Working with them has been one of the biggest privileges I've ever had and I feel so grateful just to be a very small part of their success and vision. The OG's!
It's by far the BEST tech stack (in the wider sense) for distributed/async apps. Clearly the scale counts, but for sufficientily "general purpose" things it's pretty magic. The problem is that marking is horrible for Elixir :(
Hello Pat, thanks for the great content! One personal suggestion: the censors at the beginning of the video are a bit frustrating, lol. It would make me more curious about the video if those parts were uncensored. Keep up the great work!
Awesome advice here! I’ll echo other comments though; not all of us are in/interested in software/SaaS. Would be great to see more videos on end product/physical goods and service businesses.
I really appreciate the concept of your channel. As a female entrepreneur, I really enjoy seeing other female success stories. I noticed that you don’t have any videos about female starter stories. I think that’s some thing to be aware of.
"Net Churn" in single digits is a shrinking customer base. Unless he meant single digits negative. But if thats the case, then I don't know why he would be touting single digits.
Blaine might have given some of the best advice on this channel so far. If there's one criticism of this channel it seems the creators you speak to found their success by helping others find success. If you can't find the gold sell the shovel/pickaxe. I get it. But not all of us want to sell shovels. We want to do something specific. Make a non shovel THING. Blaine comes closest to this by essentially saying to immerse one's self in a passion and 'fix your own problem' and then create content around the problem you solved and then learning from one's audience and iterate from there. 'Fixing your own problem' is legit something I haven't heard before and I've watched a lot of these videos here and elsewhere. Please consider doing starter stories on non tech bro things. You put together a vid on the ice mattresses. Do more of that. Landscaping companies. Coffee shops. Etsy storefronts. Hell even indie game studios. There's so much more out there than tech bros (unless that's what your targeting specifically). I'm here because I'm an aspiring tabletop roleplaying game designer with a background in ux/ui and illustration. I want to make a tangible thing. Not sell shovels. Otherwise I do enjoy your content. Just giving honest feedback in hopes you keep blowing up! :)
learn programming languages, find stuff that is very repetitive, but easy to do, but also something people are too lazy to do or they dont know how, then take help of chatgpt and get started with the concepts and all. then when you're ready, either sit and create the whole startup by yourself, start with a co-founder, or just hire someone from upwork for a few hundered dollars to write the program for you :))
Buddy even if you find a course you will not make it to launch. You got no idea how hard it is, you are already frustrated from researching. Launching a software is on a different level compared to dropshipping, if you need a course you're not going to make it.
You have to take theses videos with a pound of salt 🧂 🙄 the play book, is do a video 15 min explain for 12 min the back story ,say a little bit of information clickbait title. Legit money maker ain't going to give you the secret sauce just beg for views youtube is full of what they are pushing . millionaires got time for this 🤔🤑
Curious: Don't you feel stupid faking "Hi's" and handshakes? I mean, your audience is not 1 or 2 years old, right? You're sitting down with a bunch of people and you've obviously already met, greeted and whatnot 😂"So, I am going to pretend we just met and shake your hand again, because my audience is that kind of dumb, you know?"
@@starterstory So you didn't say hi before the camera started rolling? 😂 Just saying: It looks super awkward for your interviewees -- and us, viewers. At least some of us. And adds zero value. Just curious why you'd fake a hello...
Hello! I have made an website view of the 52 Mirco-Saas ides. You can visit in starterstories.flutterflow.app. I can also build your app or become your co founder.
Thank you for having us Pat and Marco. That was fun!
How do you get 10k paid users in one day but only get 90 video viewers on your channel?
I loved the "what tech you used" section, keep it in your format!
facts

just a quick touch, I started using web flow for my idea

The OG's!
cannot believe they built this with elixir and liveview, amazing

This was a sick episode!!
From the interview to the actual product so sick🔥

I believe this video might saved my Startup.. Thanks! I hope you can interview me in 1 or 2 years. Peace!
Love your TH-cam Pat. Very down to earth and with lot of values!
Adidas socks with Nike shoes is the startup secret sauce
You know it!!
Love this and how concise the information is even though it feels laid back and casual
"Chat GPT has a feature, not a product". Correct perspective if you're in this industry.
MKBHD made a video about it a few days ago too.
Best Starter Story yet
Ramon and Blaine are the GOATS!!!

How did you allow yourself to offer lifetime deal when you have LLM costs?
It asked me to buy your course to show the report you mentioned was free ?
This is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing 🙏
Thank you for sharing this valuable conversation
Pat, this is a great starter story video! Inspiring :)
Love the story telling and this one Pat!

We're trying... Had multiple women that backed out for various reasons - mainly the attention they'd get from the features...

Assuming this is chatGPT based (big assumption I know), is there risk offering a lifetime deal if GPT API shuts down?
this was a really good episode!
Great video man!
ELIXIR MENTIONED, LET'S GOOOO

brosef, its a great channel

What platform did you use to build your starter website and your newsletter?
It is all custom built - i was a software engineer back in my day :)
The reason youtube is full of ai content is them.
Yeah, Made in Webflow!

@@ToniGromann on man , I am talking seriously
you are clearly overdoing it with the teasing and blurring. thats only annoying

Where are you getting your facts? I drove 5 hours from Tampa to Miami to meet these guys for the first time in person.

Good
Unsubscribed..just about MONEY. MONEY. MONEY
unsub based purely on the thumbnail.
Anybody in East/mid Florida an entrepreneur and looking to get interviewed? I’m starting a TH-cam channel and need some victims haha
You can start looking for people in Skool communities, it’s full of entrepreneurial people from all around the world.
Paul , the shorts and the way you like to sit do not add much of seriousness. It is time to change that.
Lol
Click off brother
Are you serious?? 😂
LMFAO! 🩳
Is this the start of a merch store?
No they don’t
Pure orgasm tsssk
Kudos to these guys using Elixir/Phoenix/Liveview, we need more evangelists out there ! ;-)
