For people saying that Beasty isn't a good beatboxer, you are wrong. He is among the best in the world, but in this video, he isn't doing his regular style or beats, he is doing other people's beats through the evolution of beatbox. He starts with Biz Markie, goes on to Dougie Fresh, then Rahzel, and then Kenny Muhammed. The stuff he does at around 12:00 and onwards is more like New School and what he usually does. Admittedly it's not his best but it's nothing to shake a stick at hahaha

For those ho say that he need more practice,you don't even know ho the guy really is.He is a fucking LEGEND in beatbox scene,he is not built like tom thum for a public or for events,he is built for the professional beatbox scene,for battles.Check out beasty in battles and you will see the difference,much respect Beasty !

He's telling the long history of beat box since the 80's till today.
For all people who don't understand french : Beasty first says that he's practicing beatboxing for 7 years and then make a brief history of this art, from 80's pionneers Biz Markie and Doug E. Fresh ; then Rahzel who introduced singing in the 90's ; Kenny Muhammad, his favourite one and the most technical ; at the end he presents the new style with battles. Even if he's not the world's best beatboxer (that he didn't pretend to be), I think his speech was clear and interesting for non-specialists of beatbox like me.

What makes a good beatboxer (my opinion):
A good beatboxer fills the empty space with sound olny using the magic of his own mouth&throat. A good beatboxer makes you feel like he's doing the impossible. A good beatboxer makes you believe that there's someone in the background playing recordings.
Now, what I saw in this video, made me feel like when I was a little bit younger showing off my beatboxing skills to my high school class on a trip. He's sounds were so clean and distinguished that I felt emptyness in between each individual sound he made. And it feels like that his voice didn't reach the last row. Maybe that's because of the sound system they're using, but even a little bit reverb would make this more entertaining.
There are tons of good french beatboxers in the world, why choose him?

+amartinez97 Ton Thum uses tech a lot of the time to layer his beatboxing, which makes it better, but when it comes to raw talent, both of them are really damn close in my opinion.

I love how with beatboxing, no matter what language you speak, you can understand and enjoy it. ^^ It's like... the musical language of the world. Almost anyone can do it.

It doesn't mean how hard you work on something, but how smart you work on something. Of course hard work is a key to success. But you have to use your brain in order to succeed or just be lucky. You can work hard your entire life like builders and don't achieve anything in your life. I'm not saying he is shit, but just telling you how misleading thougts you have and other people too obviously since you got some likes there.

Reece Sabatino define best... is it just the amount of sounds he can produce in a certain time? i also think Tom Thum has a better sound because it is not focused around speed but i feel like its more rythmic and true to general music styles.

I see so many comments telling that Beasty sucks, or is on a "low level". For those who dont know it: Beasty is one of the best beatboxers in the entire world (Maybe he has no the best technique but his musicality is outstanding under beatboxers). This Showcase is about the HISTROY of beatboxing, not about "Look this is the hardest beatboxing technique youve ever heard" or "I am the best beatboxer in the world". To those who say that he sucks and that they can do better: Please send me a video of you beatboxing. If youre REALLY better than him Im gonna be your next fan, if you are worse than him i have something to laugh about. To Those hating on other peoples talents: Go home and eat some icecream so you cant get on other peoples nerves.
