  • The Piper Cheyenne is a high performance twin turboprop PT6 powered business aircraft that looks and sounds very nice. WATCH AND LISTEN UP CLOSE dual PT-6 turboprops on 5 bladed MT composite props engine starts, taxy, take off with the gear retracting at Reichelsheim airfield EDFB RWY 36 on a private charter flight November 14th. 1981 built but now upgraded D-INFO C/N: 31T8166031 is operated by Airworkpress Pilot und Flugzeug Magazine and on medivac missions by local company Heli-Flight at Flugplatz Reichelsheim.     Good airplane
    Lot of hrs in them
    No SAS. No heater in the nose.
    Like that
    Training cannot be emphasized
    enough.The more received,
    the better/safer you are.
    A well trained pilot in a good
    Cheyenne is combo hard to beat.
    They are work horses.

      Yes, I agree, have been flying IIXL and IIIA for over 2 years now and really enjoy every flight. We have an experienced instructor examiner to train us well. Cheyenne Greetings !

    Have you tried reverse on the ground ?
    I used to do that a lot due to parking
    occasionally outside and ramp was uphill.
    Stop using engines forward only.
    Take feet completely off the pedals
    so you don’t forget and use them.

      Yes, reverse during taxy reduces wear on the brakes which are not cheap !

      Hello, yes, but sounds good ! rpms need to be increased to switch on each generator then back to ground idle. Have a Good Day !
