He single-handedly made IT unwatchable.
So. Barely contained malice, to barely contained wrath..?
Okay, cool.
I wonder if he'll smile menacingly at some point, to really show his depth; won't that be a novelty!? The man's a master of his craft.
Willem Defoe as van helsing? Sign me up. I can see he’s looking to out do his performance in the lighthouse.
Saw this at an early screening !!!! This movie is absolutely beautiful disturbing grotesque sensual some comedic relief and it’s scary as hell super erie and the music ugh just makes it 100 times better
I can't wait to see him flipping the light switch on and off
Hahaha underrated comment
@krajicsek13 Now that is a reference 🎉🏆
Nosferatu😏
The hash..slinging...slasher..?
SpongeBob? 😮
This director is pure gold
Ever since The VVitch I have been anticipating this film for all of us Robert Eggers/Horror fans & it has come to fruition. Robert Eggers is a master of horror & now brings us deep into Gothic horror. So happy to be back. We all succumb to the darkness this Christmas.
Wasn't really a fan of the VVitch but I did love The Northman.
Well said.
My only wish was that he chose Anya Taylor-Joy again, to star in this Nosferatu.
Eggers-Anya is a combo that works really well, to me, a bit like Burton-Bonham Carter
@@lexfrenchy8159 I a hundred percent agree, I really wish it was her as well. I was bummed when it wasn't her casted. But hopefully it will still be a fantastic watch.

My daughter and I got to the movies traditionally on Christmas day and finally a vampire/horror movie comes out on the same day. Christmas is always our favorite holiday and horror movies are our favorite to watch. This year is going to be a good one!!!!!!!
The vampire film that was to have all copies destroyed is now destined to be the greatest vampire film of all time!
The original silent still comes up as No 1 in some ratings of greatest vampire movies. 😁❣️
Werner Herzog version.

Robert Eggers is one of the best directors around right now. Each of his movies, the witch, the Northman, and the lighthouse were all amazing.
Well… two of the three anyway lmao.
@@THEJoeDub22 Northman had studio interference.
Vampire and Robert Eggers? Yes please
The Witch, his first film was the best film. So hopefully he can do it again in the horror genre.
After The VVitch, The Lighthouse and The Northman, i have faith with Eggers to bring back Nosferatu to the big picture!
@@theratcometh9866 yeah The Witch is fantastic
@@francocorradi5818 Other Nosferatu film I watched was from Werner Herzog in 1979. That one is great so I'm curious if Eggers' take on Nosferatu is completely original or his own from the original like how Herzog did back then.
That said, Eggers have earned himself a great reputation from his previous films and I love his directing style so I'm hyped for this one
Agreed! I can’t wait for this!
As soon as I saw Robert Eggers was directing I got pumped. Love his style.
By far the scariest version of Dracula. He really seems like more of a creature than a person.
Cause vampires are creatures disguised as men
beg to differ, coppola s was scarier
@@matei-alexandrumocanu8150 Agreed 100%
It’s not Dracula, it’s Count Orlock. This is based on the 1922 silent film Nosferatu - which is inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula and has similarities but is not Dracula
@@matei-alexandrumocanu8150Coppola's movie is barely a horror movie, more like a tragic romance.
Robert Eggers never misses. Has had the same style since his short feature films that i just love. My current favorite director right now.
he missed by having this movie on Christmas.. biggest mistake.
I love his work but the Northman (despite some amazing sequences) was ultimately a miss for me
Completely agree, I second this
Same dude same
Him and yorgos lanthimos have been my favorites. I’m absolutely stoked for this and kinds of kindness
I couldn't think of a better person to remake this classic than Robert Eggers. Haven't been this excited about a movie in a long time.
The Northman was good too
this better be good, the world deserves a modern nosferatu
You guys don't know how many time I'll re-watch this movie...
Neither do you, as you have no idea whether it will be good.
I’ve rewatched the vvitch 4 times, the northman twice, and the lighthouse 8 times…

Nosferatu!! 😏
Ah yes, GenZs remembers...
"The Krusty Krab, come spend your money here!"
First thought I had. xD
Just what I was thinking 😂
I normally hate it, when they touch my favourite masterpieces of cinema, but I will give this the benefit of a doubt, given THIS creative team and cast.
All will stand and fall with Mr. Skarsgård's performance and hopefully as little CGI as possible.
The teaser is quite haunting...
I dont mind if it at least looks promising. And the og is like a 100 year old film so it makes more sense for their to be a remake
Willem Defoe looking as Count Orlok: "haven't I seen you before?"
He was thinking he saw Morbius as Green Goblin
Nice Shadow of the Vampire reference.
“I’m something of a Nosferatu myself”
According to IMDb
Willem Dafoe: Professor Albin Eberhart Von Franz
Bill Skarsgård : Count Orlok
He played Count Orlok (or rather he played Max Schreck who played Count Orlok in the original Nosferatu) in 2000's Shadow of the Vampire. That movie rules @Drekulviin
The thing that most excites me about this is that Robert Eggers has been trying to make this ever since The Witch. I already love his body of work so far, but this is his passion project and it already looks like its going to be his best film
Agreed
Bro you totally stole my thoughts. The whole embodiment of the vvitch was one of the most accurate and insanely beautiful pieces I've ever seen. This guy was born for this style of movies.
I've never been so frightened by the mere thought of a film, like I am of this one.
For all those that keep saying it took 102 years for a remake: in 1979 German director Werner Herzog made a very good remake starring Klaus Kinski titled "Nosferatu The Vampyre". It was critically acclaimed and remains a classic in the genre.
Yes! Finally someone said it it’s going to be hard to beat the herzog classic for me and the haunting soundtrack alone
Big respect to the great Herzog and Kinski. I watch this classic for the first time in greek tv in 1986.
Actually enjoy the 1979 remake more then the original.
The eerie silence. The bleak and heavy iron skies. The stench of corpses in caskets and thousands of rats all washed away by the haunting, otherworldly and eternal beauty of Isabelle Adjani
Totally agree the film is a masterpiece @milosjovic3596
Robert Eggers was made for this genre. It looks absolutely incredible.
Indeed! Hope is going to continue this legacy, I hope he is going to do Werewolf movie also, more gothic horror please.
Yet here we are, another remake film that Hollywood pretty called wokehood. Movies today are just garbage.
Now days, WILLEM DEFOE is everywhere.
Such a legendary actor.❤

Happiness is living in a time where I can experience such art as Robert’s cinematic artistry.
Northman was a miss for me and I think it wasn’t any of Eggers fault . I think the studios will let him do what he was supposed to do with this one along with the marketing being super on point this time.
Robert Eggers is truly the right director to direct this remake. The sound, the tension, the filmography, the atmosphere, the silent and scary scenes, literally everything makes you wanna have nightmares when you sleep
FINALLY, a vampire movie worthy of the original 20/30's Nosferatu and Dracula movies. Looks like a winner to me.

Bill Skarsgard as another terrifying monster? Yeah I’m down.
The "method actor" for "creature features"
This trailer is perfectly done. Great choice of music to heighten tension, never show Nosferatu's face and don't give too much of the story away. This is how trailers should be done, DISNEY.
That shot of Orlok's silhouette in the doorway with the two dogs is awesome.
Wolves.
