Yep, very important lesson for everyone. In fact there are two things, that make this stand out for me.
      1. Just don't ride it if you don't feel it.
      2. Never ever push anyone to do it. Show how it's done, explain, give every piece of advice you can give but never say "come on, just ride it".
For me both of them doing the right thing is more impressive than if they would have just sent it.

@@marklopez5267 not as a dad, not on a feature of such size. Last christmas (haha) I rode a rather small, but badly built wooden drop even though I was tired already and on my new bike that I wasn't used to yet. Thought it would be fine since it's not a big feature. A broken Fullface helmet and a trip to the hospital for x-ray check told me I was wrong. Though apparently nothing was broken I sometimes feel sore in my neck. Conclusion: If you don't feel it, don't do it. Be smart and ride again the next day.

You know what’s worse than Yoann not sending this? Sending it for the likes of all us viewers and getting seriously f**ked up. I absolutely loved this video. It shows that the two of you aren’t just nailing the gnarliest lines the first try. I may never do a line like this but this helped me think through my own progression. Merci Beaucoup!

being humble is the highest quality to continue in this kind of sport, like in the mountains (freeride, mountaineering, etc.) the hardest part is to give up when you don't feel it! Respect to these 2 great champions for repeat this lesson.

One of my favorite things about Yoann is he doesn't hide when he makes mistakes or doesn't want to do something. He shows us regular people that even the best make mistakes or find stuff they aren't ready for mentally.

The way you can shut it down after that drop within like 20ft is just as cool as the drop itself. I'd love to see a full video showing advanced braking control techniques/speed control on various features or steep lines. Also maintaining control in technical terrain when you land after being in the air.

I'm really enjoying watching the more honest videos lately. Showing how many times you have to run up etc. That it's ok to say "no, not this time" "I'm not feeling it". Its relatable to us at home. Above all, glad Yoan stayed safe.

I think we all really appreciate the method and walk through that you do for each feature Remy. It’s humbling to know that extremely talented riders like you and Yoann show that there is a method to finding the line and it’s not just “send it”. Despite you making it look easy haha.
Also, making it ok to walk away from a drop if you’re really not feeling it is super important for all riders. Keep up the great work!

They're so useful these videos where you demonstrate just how much care, thought and attention to detail you need to ride well. No big egos, no willy waving, no clips from hours apart strung together to look like one run. They're excellent in terms of how to help people progress, and I suspect that seeing pros comfortable saying they're not feeling it will also save people from a quite a lot of unwanted injuries.

This is absolutely the best riding video I've watched on YT! Whether deliberate or not it is the best Riding Psychology analysis i have ever witnessed. Everyone who rides gnarly features has experienced these back and forth conversations at some point trying to build up the confidence to send it. This is genuinely a video that every rider at every level of ability can relate to. To see pro riders experiencing this level of doubt just makes us all feel a little more human and adds to the comedy value. Some days we send it, some days we abort, but the comedy value of convincing ourselves that we are going to send it even though deep down everyone knows we're not is priceless!!

When Yoann puts his bike aside and walks down the hill I thought, Okay now he runs away 😂
Very good prep for this jump, doesn't matter if jumped or not. learning a lot watching your videos 👍👍 great idea to do a similar feature which is easier. Never considered that before.

C'est long, mais présenter l'intégralité du process est super intéressant. Beaucoup d'humilité les gars 👏. Merci de nous rappeler que les fails sont nécessaires à la progression 🤘

Love it! It's so important to match skills with features, experience with risk but what you guys did here is even more important! You are talking about intuition, visualization understanding yourself as a rider, which at the end of the day are the intangibles that keep us safe. Well done guys, thanks!

Awesome video guys, really great to show everyone the prep and thought that goes into tackling new features. I haven't seen a video before that does it so well honestly.

Love the video - great to see the planning and mental process before attempting this kind of challenge. I think this could be translated across to many other adventure sports when you are considering pushing your own personal level. Big thanks to the lads for sharing this.

Another great video Remy, helpful to have a real insight into how you guys send bigger and scarier features, super helpful showing the full process of you two both going through the process in real life and seeing the result, not sat at a desk saying how to do it. Great video Remi, look forward to ep3 🤙🤙

great video, so helpful to see what the very best riders go through when approaching a big feature. and as other people have commented, part of what makes someone like yoann so good is his ability to know when to send and when to not send. as a great man once said, 'you got to know when to hold em, and know when to fold em'.

I really love the detailed line explanations! 🔥🤘
Even thought I’m not doing these crazy lines it makes smaller features easier to break down mentally.

What kindoff feature does it take for remy to even consider wearing a full face? Did he wear one for his rampage runs?
It leaves me amazed for the confidence he has in himself and his ability to judge everything! Sooo much love and respect!

Hi Remi and Yo: Honestly I was concerned about watching and supporting videos that put you guys in danger so it’s nice to see you lean towards the safety side of things. Please keep in mind you have kids looking up to you and they want to try to do what you do. So showing people how you address risky situations and walking away for another day when you’re more prepared is wise. Thanks and ride on!!

It’s awesome to see the process you guys go through preparing to ride the features you do.
Also it’s good to see that if your not feeling it then you won’t risk it,mental game is a huge part of riding and gets harder as you get older! I should know
Keep up the great work guys

So good you guys! The build up is intense, the desire to do it is intense.... this kind of decision is something that is very difficult to teach, but you captured it so well.... Now the trick is how to teach that maturity in decision making to 10 year olds! Great video Remy & Yohan. Much respect!

This is great to watch, two awesome riders that aren't pushing each other past their comfort level. I was just on a trail last weekend called Black Jack (has several double black rock features) and it had some moves that were above my comfort level, I walked them. It's always better to live to ride another day.
