To pair that with a being that is utterrely focused and obsessed on an individual (or us, the listener) is fascinating. Thank you so much, Vel, for bringing this idea to life. Don't forget about the fact that he renounced his racist views in later years. Views which he was indoctrinated with due to his father. He was raised in a racist household, so he can't be completely blamed for how he thought. I have respect for him because he realised the error of his ways and rose above his upbringing.

When I first saw this I could think of two possible Lovecraft phobias: racism and something he couldn't be bothered with understanding
I haven't read his books but I have heard a version of his biography
The first is kinda born from the latter, so it's the same thing. Trying to "understand" something you perceive as scary is not easy.
