I love this!! I would say I'm currently at full time income now woohoo! I have been on the hobby income all year last year. Only this year did I decide to make a store and list list list. I'm not gonna lie I'm really on the verge of saying screw it and going full time and doing TH-cam as my hobby because I'd love to 😅😊
When you start at first you need to only list 2 to 5 a day for the first few weeks because there are listing limits and payment holds. Very true to that newbies do not know what they are doing they haven't taken the time to learn the platform. New sellers should not list a $1200 item straight off the bat they are going to get scammed. Also new sellers need to research what they list for better results rather than listing any junk.
I have 2 eBay stores and one e-commerce website I list 5 items a day 5 days a week. I work a full time government job and I write & record music at my home studio. And I'm married. I sell comics, sports cards and collectibles on one eBay store. And electronics and educational books and etc. On the other eBay store. Everyone has their hustle.
Chris I will say your course is a lot cheaper than most of the TH-cam resellers. Your free TH-cam videos has done wonders for my reselling business. You are straight to the point, no shucking and jiving as some others do on their videos. All business, I respect you for that, want shucking and jiving, hee hawing GO SOME PLACE ELSE.
I'd have to agree. It took me about 3-4 months to finally start generating money from the break even point. It was hard reselling on a shoe string budget but once you're over that hump it gets better.
I have been selling on ebay as a hobbie not even as a part time job. I recently have been listing 5-7 items a day and already am selling 2ish a day. Consistency is key and i will try to list even more and treat it like a part time job. Everything takes time and commitment to become great at it. You will never be the best there is always room for improvement. Just have to keep at it. Don’t listen to the naysayers and be optimistic. Even in the bad slow selling times. Find a way out of the hole and keep pushing
I agree 100% with your comment on not going in F/T if you don't have $10K saved. Between the starting inventory ($9K) and supplies (thermal printer, light box, shipping supplies, postal scale), you will easily get close to $10K if you want to bring it to a professional level that is. Of course, you can do hobby level starting with only $5. I would recommend that people start at hobby level and move on to professional once they learn the ropes (almost risk free)
I was sick for two weeks and couldn't list anything... sales dropped right off. Back to listing every day now and like magic, people are starting to buy my items. :) Thanks for the video, Chris! Always great content!
I was following along the symphony reference and literally cracked up when you said "it sounds like cats dying in the beginning". But so accurate, my cats are starting to survive a little! Great info...
Defiantly going for full time. I'm on track at listing 20 per day and my goal is 1000 listings by the end of the month. I have the product to do it already. Just a matter of getting it up. Thanks for all the advice and motivation.
Congratulations "dad", Thats awesome, good for you. Just wanna say thanks again for all the priceless knowledge and help you have given out in the past years. And enjoy having a little one! Your gonna blink one day and boom, you got a teenager! Thanks
I like to think of it like I got a job through a temp agency, and I go into an office. Boss sits me down and tells me how to list on Ebay. I am to work from 8-5. I am to list 20 items a day. Would that boss be happy if I said "I can't list 20 items a day! I can only list 5!" So....if I could list 20 for a boss that would keep 100% of the profit, paying me minimum wage, why can't I list 20 for myself?
I have a question. Right now, I list 10 items a day. Should I list more? Can I list different amounts each day or should I list the same amout everyday.
"1-2 hours a day playing Call of Duty" You can tell this man's a hard worker because he's clearly never played video games, because 1-2 hours is rookie numbers.
I'm at beginner status so my first goal is hobby income. I Will be stuck on that for awhile since eBay is limiting me the amount of listings per month. Very frustrating that they only allow me 5 a month. So I'll just keep sourcing until they take off that limit. Frustrating but I know I have to be patient.
It seems tough to source 20 items that can profit $10 each day and then go home and list them all. Seems like I'd be lucky to get it all done if I work all of my waking hours. I'm willing to work like 60hrs a week max, else my social life will likely suffer. The big Savers store near me always seems over-picked and over-priced. I seem to have better luck with smaller, less busy thrift shops. Don't know how many other people have the same experience. Being able to quickly source sufficient inventory seems like the hardest part for me. I sound like I'm complaining, but I'm not. Just saying what I think. Don't know if anyone has any advice.
Hi Chris. So because the coat of goods and also the cost of goods sold can change, does this mean instead of listing 20 items a day, should we be listing enough items to equal the $150 profit per day?
Love your content 😊 going to join your $35/month group because I want to start things the right way …also, is this the only platform you are selling on? Where do you mainly source at Chris? See you soon in your group 🤗
Congratulations on your new baby! BTW When you said the person doing 5 listings at work is actually stealing from their employer, I thought 💭 wow 😯 that’s biblical. So that’s another reason I admire you. Thank you for putting that out there.
I'm trying to start this business from a rented single room so unfortunately I don't think that listing 20 items a day is possible for me right now. I only have 140 items listed at the moment but I feel like space will start to become a real problem at the 300/400 mark. We'll see what happens
@@dailyrefinement Indeed, I'm not expecting to be able to make a full time income until I either get a bigger room or rent out a storage unit for my stock. Right now I'm just pumping all profits back into the business so I can reach that point sooner rather than later
This is really just your experience. There are multiple ways to do this job. I wish you could look beyond your own experience and stop selling it as facts.
Comment Below Your Goal:
Hobby Income
Currently at hobby income 3 months in to reselling. Goal is professional income.
My step one goal is 2k profit per month. Step two, we'll see when I get to 2k....
One step at a time
I love this!!

I'm doing 5 a day for now. Already selling about 5 items a week. Once I get some things arranged will be going to 10 a day then 20 etc.

I agree. I think Chris learned that the hard way getting an INAD on a $1,000 item.

Anyone else thumbs up during the beginning ad just because you know it’ll be good 👍🏻 😊

I don’t think the listing is the problem for some…it’s having consistent sourcing. I batch list over 20 items in only one hour on my iPad.
OK you have 13,000 listings, I only need 12,700 more to catch up to you.

You do need the stock to put on in the first place and somewhere to keep it all, this pandemic has stopped my supply but thanks for the info

Do you sell on any of websites or just ebay?
Sorry I'm new, so you only sell clothes ?
What does COGS Mean? does it mean the Cost of goods sold? why Profit = COGS?
Why Profits = COGS ? 🤔
261 unread messages from ebay members would scare the crap out of me
Yeah, definitely

Hi,Chris! I would like to be an Ebay seller. Please I need your help. Thank you!
So 20 items a day that=$25 . Got it .every day for six months wow. Hard to find items for that .but I been at this 3 1/2 years now 1057 in listing.
A full time income and effort isn’t easy
why does ebay not allow user access to virtual employees… amazon does . it’s a pain is the ass tbh
What do you do with items that dont sell? Do you lower the price to a point it will sell and take a loss?
Increase promoted listings, I don’t discount to a loss, I’ll just wait
Chris, where can I access this spreadsheet please?
In the fb group document
Hi Chris.
So because the coat of goods and also the cost of goods sold can change, does this mean instead of listing 20 items a day, should we be listing enough items to equal the $150 profit per day?
Yeah., this example accounts for items that don’t sell
Thanks Chris. So if I had all higher priced items I’d say $30 profit, would I be listing about 5 items that day? Is that how the formula works?
I want to make over $1k USD a day which is $1,300 Canadian !
So Hammoq it's not worth it anymore?
Depends on your goals

Like a boss...
If I cross list, does that count as more than 1 listing?
Definitely not, still one item
Brooooo I love this I’ve been on this now for a few weeks consistency is key but 20 a day keeps the wife at bay
Gotta balance it out
Congratulations on your new baby!
