I know for a fact that I'm part of the root of all evil in my Mom's life. She's been through a lot of shit because she had me. But everytime I think about how much better her life could've turned out without me, she tells me how I'm the best thing that ever happened to her - "a gift from heaven" she says. I don't know how she's still so convinced of that, but just thinking about how much she loves me although her life's been even harder ever since I came into it just makes me wanna cry happy tears and hope that many other kids have a Mom comparable to mine.

Today I went for a drive and put this song on repeat at max volume and just scream sung the lyrics whilst balling my eyes out. It was such a release, one that I've needed for a while now. I wake up everyday disappointed that I'm still here and feeling anything is a rare thing for me these days. That is the power music has.

@@thomasloks6364 I have gotten into the habit of just scrolling down to find the lyrics, and feel grateful when some considerate person has tucked them in for me.
Also I can read the entirety of a song in a fraction the time it takes to listen, which has lyric videos beat.
Lyric videos are nice if you're trying to teach someone else a song, but not so great if you are simply trying to learn if you have made out the words correctly.
