that day i saw a Veloz parked next to a Alza in a shopping mall, i must say Veloz looks way nicer and more towards SUV look, and also Veloz looks bigger size maybe of the height. 95K for Toyota 7 seater with such a spec is worth, i remember years ago my friend bought the Toyota Sienta at about rm100k, i would say this Veloz at 95K is way more worth. Compact 7 seater with good fuel consumption has high demand in Malaysia.
I came from Perodua Viva to this Veloz. I feel paying extra RM20k is justified. Nobody can convert an Alza to a Veloz in the aftermarket even he is willing to spend RM20k for 'renovation'. I think UWM Toyota should allocate more manpower on the Veloz production line because most people will choose Veloz over new Vios. People who are able to spend RM96k, are fathers of newborns. Veloz provide a better rear space over the Vios for family members. The comparison between Veloz and new Vios is no longer the same like the comparison between Avanza and old Vios. Veloz is a true passenger car, not a van with ladder frame platform.
Yeah, Veloz when driving with 2-4 pax really drives well like a regular sedan just feels slightly higher and upright, so won't feel much difference with Vios aside from the ride height. Then you get the option to carry 6-7 pax when you need to, though it might feel a little heavy on full load.
Yes. I really cannot brain the new pricing of new vios. Almost rm100k for a car? Crazy like ni brain. But to wait more than a year for Veloz is crazy too.

The new Alza comes to fill the niche and price range left by the Nissan Almera. Low spec Alza is Samsung S23, Top spec Alza is S23+, Veloz is S23 Ultra.
Another critical point no reviewer ever commented on it. The legs room at front row really narrow 😅 no room to move left or right for ppl size like hafriz and me 😂 #clastophobic
No doubt the car serve it purpose, however the more i look at it on the side, the more weird proportions.. if would be better if the make it more MPV like than SUV like.

Definitely not poor for middle row. If 3rd row not in use, you can push the middle row to the back and sit like a boss. Or you can make it like a bed by combining middle row and last row seat. The last row is tight if 7 adults in the car but those who 160cm can sit in 3rd row without struggle. It is small MPV and not comparable to Alphard or Serena which are more spacious but also much pricier.
My colleague recently got this car and everyone kept making fun of him for paying more for an Alza with a Toyota badge (I’m aware its a Daihatsu / Toyota rebadged) Kinda feel for him though.
Though it's very similar to an Alza But having used both I can guarantee there's a much better comfort level in the Veloz compared to the Alza Veloz doesn't have any Major differentiating factors (such as engine or transmission) Yet all the small differences add up to easily 15 or more improvements over the Alza However both cars are indeed worth it for the price respective for each model
@@arenavideo424 Cause a lot of people get sensitive that it uses Daihatsu components, and it does make a difference in sales. From a technical view, if the daihatsu design is good, then there's nothing wrong using it. Though truly a lot of buyers have a judgemental view towards daihatsu vs toyota. Granted, Perodua does have lower quality, but that's due to the parts suppliers, not the design itself. Recently the Alza has issues whereas no news at all from the Veloz group, everything seems to be fine Turns out the Veloz uses daihatsu thailand parts (thus also adds to the import tax) whereas Alza uses locally sourced parts I also believe it's not necessarily that Malaysian capability is bad, it all boils down to the costing, need sth cheap, that means compromise in quality

The new Alza comes to fill the niche and price range left by the Nissan Almera. Low spec Alza is Samsung S23, Top spec Alza is S23+, Veloz is S23 Ultra.
@@1chai point there, can't agree more. either way, both justifies your needs
yes, i buy Alza AV to replace my pity almera e spec, it is a big upgrade, definity worth it
value over wr v for sure
Another critical point no reviewer ever commented on it. The legs room at front row really narrow 😅 no room to move left or right for ppl size like hafriz and me 😂 #clastophobic
Forgot to mention veloz has VTS for safety & security, also better ergonomics for ingress n egress. Orang sakit lutut ACL confirm will appreciate..
To me I find new Alza got better ingress and egress for old folks or ACL. Veloz is a little bit high for old folks, but better vision compare to Alza.
This depends on the height of the person I would say. My grandpa snugs in easily to the Veloz.
Waiting period more than 12 months.
The sales advisor did not tell the truth. Some honest SA will say at least 18 months. But this also show the demand of Veloz is good though.
My aunt got it within a month when she brought it by cash
why toyota use engine daihatsu?
Daihatsu is owned by Toyota
no feet ac vent, no front defogger.... unacceptable.
This one is quite weird coz Alza got. Maybe face-lift will come with this, I guess.
No doubt the car serve it purpose, however the more i look at it on the side, the more weird proportions.. if would be better if the make it more MPV like than SUV like.
Go EV, go BYD Dolphin. Beats this Toyota by miles, in this price range. Enough suckered by Japanese marks.
Should compare apple to apple, not apple to orange. BYD Dolphin is good but it is 400km range only and in real world maybe 300km and also 2 seats lesser. Those who need small MPV usually have 2 kids or above. Dolphin is just not practical then.
6 people in a BYD Dolphin is abit uncomfortable..
The middle and 3rd row seats are poor.and uncomfortable.
Though it's very similar to an Alza
But having used both I can guarantee there's a much better comfort level in the Veloz compared to the Alza
Veloz doesn't have any Major differentiating factors (such as engine or transmission)
Yet all the small differences add up to easily 15 or more improvements over the Alza
However both cars are indeed worth it for the price respective for each model
I dont think veloz use dcvt. Only cvt
it's a dcvt, toyota just doesn't wanna mention it
(veloz owner here)
When you look at the Alza, the transmission design and casing are identical
@@etjh6560 wonder why toyota didn't want to mention it
@@etjh6560I think veloz - gear, then cvt for high speed. Alza - cvt, then gear for high speed.
Recently the Alza has issues whereas no news at all from the Veloz group, everything seems to be fine
Turns out the Veloz uses daihatsu thailand parts (thus also adds to the import tax) whereas Alza uses locally sourced parts
I also believe it's not necessarily that Malaysian capability is bad,
it all boils down to the costing, need sth cheap, that means compromise in quality
@@so7o3o4 Veloz and Alza use the same gearbox
Only the new Innova and GR Corolla uses the new Direct Shift CVT from Japan
As a Veloz user myself, i really wish we have that Direct Shift CVT, but sadly no
buruknyaa..design 10 tahun kebelakang
macam kereta mayat
😂, Alza H spec Hitam lagi macam kete mayat
Undertaker dh beli sebijik kereta ni😂
Nope not worth it. So vanilla like all poopadua and towyourcar
