    That car is clean So the parts you need are axles,shift linkage,mounts,p28 or s300 you can use the same engine harness for the swap

    I have a b20v in my ek hatch and I made 187whp with a stock high comp bottom end and a b16 head with itr cams. ($1500 invested in the motor)

      Very nice. I’ll be shooting for 200whp with mine. A few bottom end and top end upgrades should do the trick.

    Good luck on the swap dude, subscribed. I’m in the process of trying to find a B series (ls block with gsr head) to put in my 97 coupe. The car looks super clean for 400k miles!

    • @OldieProductions

      It's in really great shape for the mileage it has! I plan on doing a video soon going over the entire car and it's history and that will give people a better look at it for sure.

    You are correct about ls/vtec vs b20v. And ls would be any non vtec b18 bottom end with a vtec head aka the bottom end that came in Integra ls models. No ls came with a b20. The b20v has also been known as the bfrankenstein but that has gone away the last several years.

    • @xxkillerjoker3496
      @xxkillerjoker3496 ปีที่แล้ว

      what is the point of doing this though?

    • @xxkillerjoker3496
      @xxkillerjoker3496 ปีที่แล้ว

      why not just grab a non vtec or vtec motor

    • @TheRealMrRoyal
      @TheRealMrRoyal ปีที่แล้ว

      @@xxkillerjoker3496 for either ls/vtec or b20v it's the best of both worlds. Price and availability of ls engine $500ish vs $2500 minimum. Then with a built vtec head can Rev to 9000rpm plus have the benefits of the variable cams. Even non built it's higher revving, more tuneable, and has better top end power. Stock to stock probably not worth the $$$ but once you start modifying the ability to breathe becomes a force multiplier. Now b20v has pluses and minuses stock. More displacement=better low end torque but they are more prone to cylinder wall failure, but a built b20 block with vtec head can be a 300+hp all motor or a ton more with a turbo build.

    building an engine is gonna be more expensive then 2k. i would't over do the power goals on a b20 vtec mainly because of the cylinder walls. they tend to crack from detonation and overheating. and if you're planning on spinning this over 7500 rpm's your going to at least want to get some arp rod bolts and some dual valve springs. the factory rod bolts will eventually fail. but overall, they are fun engines when built right. im in the process of building a b20 vtec as well.

    • @OldieProductions
      @OldieProductions  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Already have a B16a2 head, dual valve springs, LMAs, ARP rod bolts and will be ordering new bearings and rings soon. I don’t plan on beating the crap out of it at all. I’m aware of the limitations for sure.

    Thing about LSVtec with big pistons and racing rods and arp crank bolts you can make 800 wheel with it especially big turbo but id rather hit 300 or 400 since mines a street car also ls blocks from a 90 to 93 integra is the same as the 94 to 2000 integras

  • @cheeseburguhgaming9581
    @cheeseburguhgaming9581 ปีที่แล้ว

    nah you good it's b20vtec we say b20v for short because the block comes out of a honda crv and LSvtec because the non vtec is from the Acura integra LS and we take the LS name calling it a LSVtec because the Block originally doesn't come with a Vtec Head

    Lsv, b20v same shit different block. “Proper” term i guess u could say is b20v haha. Also, thr b16 cams will possibly hold u back on power a bit, look for gsr/type r cams

    • @OldieProductions
      @OldieProductions  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That’s kind of where my head was at on it but I know how some people can be with terminology. I’m not looking to build a crazy high horsepower engine by any means, just something peppy and fun that still gets great gas mileage. As of right now I’m shooting for a b16 head and transmission but it really all depends on what deals pop up on marketplace!
