Spoedbegeleiding vanaf het LUMC (Leiden) naar het EMC Rotterdam

- N.a.v. een medische noodsituatie van een patiënt heeft het ambulancepersoneel een aanvraag gedaan voor motorbegeleiding vanaf het LUMC te Leiden naar het Erasmus Medisch Centrum te Rotterdam.
Deze aanvraag doen zij bij de meldkamer ambulance en nadat deze is goedgekeurd komt de aanvraag bij de meldkamer politie binnen.
Deze stuurt vervolgens de motorrijders van Team Verkeer aan. Eenmaal ter plaatse maakt de commandant van de motorrijders afspraken met de ambulancechauffeur m.b.t. de route en het soort transport (glijdend/spoed/langzaam/snel etc.)
The paramedics requested a police escort from LUMC Leiden to the EMC in Rotterdam. After the request is granted by the supervisors three officers respond to the call and provide the escort.

This and the other video's of "Verkeerspolitie Den Haag" shows 1000% professionalism and how to cooperate together as a team! Since I'm also an ambulance driver i am grateful for those guys a lot! It makes our job with those riders really a big positive difference. Thank you guys for your support in this!! By showing this kind of videos it clearly shows what it takes to act like a team and awesome motorcyclists

Prachtig dat je nu de beelden vanuit alle perspectieven te zien krijgt. Ik heb diep respect voor de motorrijders die alles tegenhouden en waar nodig leegtrekken om snel door het verkeer te kunnen komen. Team verkeer Den Haag, mooie beelden, duim omhoog!
Geweldige organisatie van deze begeleiding. Mooi om te zien hoe jullie andere weggebruikers ‘gebruiken’ als extra blokkade om de baan vrij te maken. Jammer van de laatste auto in Rdam op het kruispunt en dat niet iedereen dit bij je rijbewijs leert hoe we naar jullie moeten luisteren en vooral kijken bij zo iets als dit. Heel veel sterkte voor het kind en de ouders. Mooi werk van jullie politie en ambulance !
Ja hier zou in de rijopleiding meer aandacht voor mogen zijn. Je bent toch even van de wijs als je als bestuurder opeens een motoragent voorbij ziet racen.

The editor seems to show ambulance view in weird moments, often when there's something happening around the motorcyclists and nothing happening around ambulance.
That's my one minor nitpick. Sorry can't help myself.

It is a different experience from living in the US to see how medical care uses police escorts to safely transport their patients. There is an issue that I see here in the US that we use Traffic signal preemption. That system depending on how backup the traffic is at the light and worst off if there is a semi-truck that is blocking the emergency vehicle's special strobe light to activate the Traffic signal preemption for the traffic light the light will never change. After watching your videos, I don't know why here in the US we don't use the police to escort ambulances. Some people may say that the police are overworked and don't have the time to escort ambulances. Well, in that case, why can't a private company dedicate to ambulance escort be a thing? I have also visited Germany and have seen how great their drivers are when they see emergency vehicles approach them on roadways and the autobahn. I was surprised that the van driver listened to the officer and waited. I was anticipating impatient drivers behind him and possibly passing him or the van driver driving away. All in all, keep up the good work and professionalism.
In the Netherlands we do have a similar system in certain areas that you describe (as could be seen in the now defunct Ambuchannel112) but I agree, human traffic control is way more reliable and flexible; BUT requires resources which might not always be available.

@@Tyrope That is why I gave the idea of having a private company to be dedicated to ambulance escort. I do miss Ambuchannel 112. In the Ambuchannel 112 videos, you could see near the steering wheel area a little light would indicate that the preempt system has been received from the traffic light and the light has given the right of way to the ambulance. Even though they have a preempt system, it does not guarantee that the traffic will be clear when the emergency vehicle approaches the intersection. That is the downfall of those systems. I do wish Ambuchannel 112 comes back.

@@jmgobeli I think people would be less likely to respect instructions from a private company. It may be different in other countries but the Dutch are quite sensitive to authority and will not easily accept it from others than the formal authorities. It just helps - unfortunately - if the person dishing out orders also happens to carry a gun. Private companies would never be allowed to have guns as the monopoly on (armed) violence is with the government. This may sound strange but it kinda works in our Dutch context.
We Germans have the joke that goes like „What do you get after failing the driving test for three times? A yellow plate.“ At least the TVDH proves us wrong. Awesome riding, great video! 👍👍👍

Politiemensen verdienen altijd ons respect. Net als het ambulancepersoneel. Helaas dat er altijd mensen zijn die dat anders zien.
Stop genoeg drank en drugs in een zwakzinnige pauper en ze zien niet eens meer wat, laat staan dat het iets zinnigs zou zijn..
Diepe respect voor de motorbegeleiders. Het zal je kindje maar zijn die in de ambulance ligt.

They go through an extensive training program. Much more advanced than regular civilian training stuff. But I agree, they have awesome skills

Weer veel respect voor de sprinters voorop, die even met ~140 de tunnel uit crossen met de zon in de ogen; hoeft maar 1 persoon even niet door hebben wat er achter gebeurt en je heb een kofferbak in je voorwiel. Denk ik dan, heb geen rijbewijs en op de fiets is zo'n tunnel uitgang toch iets minder snel. xD

@@Neoptolemus What do you mean "chill out"? It's a perfectly stated point, without any negativity. No more, no less. Being from another country might explain his behaviour, but it is not how it should be. If you're in another country, you are expected to play by their rules, so it's wise to prepare yourself. Speedlimits, emergency procedures, other special rules, etc.
Whether one agrees or not with the way the driver behaved; in the end the left lane was clear for the ambulance, who didn't have to slow down for them. And that's all that matters.
The german car moving over to the left lane was perfectly fine in this example. He moved over because he expected the emergency vehicle to be driving faster than it did, so he expected it to pass on the insertion strip. When he realised the police car wanted to pass on the left he instantly moved to the right. Nothing wrong here.

Interessant om het gezichtspunt vanuit de ambulance te zien. Krijg je een goed beeld van wat de inspanningen van de motoragenten voor de ambulance oplevert.

Het is opnieuw duidelijk dat jullie dit werk met passie en plezier doen. Eigenlijk straalt alles uit dat jullie het pas goed genoeg vinden als het perfect gaat, maar perfectie bestaat niet.
Het belang hiervan komt pas echt binnen bij de opmerking die je maakt rond 20:10; een ambulance met een kindje erin. Gelukkig blijft die bestuurder keurig wachten. En dan is het weer extra jammer hoe iedereen enorm zit te kloten op dat kruispunt vanaf 21:15.
Ga zo door jongens, jullie zijn een voorbeeld voor de rest van de wereld!

Ik zag mezelf op het eind staan!
Ik zou verder toch veel meer beelden van de motor willen zien. Het ambulance perspectief /commando voertuig heeft op sommige punten niet zoveel meerwaarde.
Bijvoorbeeld zie 11:10, motorrijder gaat net een kruispunt afzetten, dan wordt er gelijk 15 seconden geschakeld naar het commandovoertuig wat rustig door de SijtwendeTunnel in rijdt zonder dat er iets te zien is.
Verder zijn het nog steeds hele goede filmpjes!
Daar ben ik het niet mee eens. Ik vind het wel interessant om te zien hoe dat vanuit de commandant er uit ziet.
@@berendt87 Ik heb het wat te stellig geformuleerd. Het biedt wel meerwaarde op een aantal punten, alleen bijvoorbeeld op 11:10, dat soort momenten bedoel ik.
Op 11:10 ben ik het wel met je eens, verder niet zoveel op aan te merken.

As a former paramedic I want to know if this transport was a regular one or something special? We never had something like like that. I was fighting the traffic for myself every day. Respect.
A special one, we escort this time for a child who was fighting for his life en has to remove toe a special hospital. Other thing why we do it is trafficjam of neurotrauma's etc. Then is a smooth ride more important than a fast one.

Mooie video weer! Op 1 van de motoren zat een sticker dat er een nieuwe band om lag, maar het leek alsof de bochten toch niet minder schuin/snel genomen werden dan normaal. Maakt zoiets nog uit met het rijden? Of was de band inmiddels toch al ingereden?
Zoals we beginnen met een rit is hij na een paar KM al aardig te doen. Vergelijk dit echter niet met normaal rijden en let echt wel even goed op bij een nieuw bandje. #houhetrubberonder
