Spoedbegeleiding van het HMC Westeinde Den Haag naar het LUMC Leiden.

- N.a.v. een geplande verplaatsing van een patiënt in de spits heeft het ambulancepersoneel een aanvraag gedaan voor motorbegeleiding van het HMC Westeinde te Den Haag naar het LUMC in Leiden.
Deze aanvraag doen zij bij de meldkamer ambulance en nadat deze is goedgekeurd komt de aanvraag bij de meldkamer politie binnen. Deze stuurt vervolgens de motorrijders van Team Verkeer aan. Eenmaal ter plaatse maakt de commandant van de motorrijders afspraken met de ambulancechauffeur m.b.t. de route en het soort transport (glijdend/spoed/langzaam/snel etc.)
The paramedics requested a police escort from HMC Westeinde ( The Hague) to the LUMC hospital in Leiden.
After the request is granted by the supervisors three officers respond to the call and provide the escort.

One of the difficulties was the acceptance to learn from others. Look over the table, not only for the dish, look beyond the border and not only around the County. The general hesitation of adopting something has a wide spread. Learning from the others: A way of knowing each other better as well. Don´t get me wrong, I am not Anti-America, just reflecting what I have noticed over a long time.

Op de laatste rotonde van de spoedrit in Leiden stonden wij het verkeer te regelen. Van verre hoorden wij al de sirenes aankomen. Hierop hebben direct gereageerd en de weg voor het verkeer vrij gemaakt zodat ze gelijk door konden rijden naar het ziekenhuis.
Leuke samenwerking met de politie Denhaag. Verkeersregelaars THS uit Sassenheim.
Lekker gewerkt mannen, is altijd fijn.
@@JohnvL Klopt. Maar een paar handen extra kan geen kwaad. En de jongens (en meisjes) van THS zijn bevoegd om het verkeer regelen. Wij zijn dat als 'normale' burgers niet.

I've watched videos of other police services doing these type of escorts and I've got to tell you, the way you guys coordinate yourselves and the traffic you make it look so easy and smooth it's a pleasure to watch. Apparently the police escort is determined by each jurisdiction. When I asked a while back I was told that Robin’s jurisdiction doesn’t do police escorts for ambulances.
Haven’t seen him for ages ? Wonder if he’s still doing that job?

Mijn vader (nu 96) was jarenlang in Belgie bij de wegpolitie ( toen nog rijkswacht en "de zwaantjes" genoemd met hun blauwe Harly Davidson ) . Dit waren de mooiste opdrachten : ambulance of orgaan begeleiden . De dankbaarheid van de artsen soms tot tranen toe bewogen betekenden veel . 👌

I love watching your videos. Video shows how professional and organized you are and you do everything thoughtfully and carefully. You care for others, you work is very co-ordinated. You are not aggressive like French police officers, who are quite aggressive when escorting, I do not know if it is because of the French drivers temperament or is it something else. But you are both professionals, i admire your work. Hats down.

I've only recently started watching these, and oh boy are these videos addictive and I have to say this is another amazing video.
Also is there any chance of subtitles being added to these videos? That way we could all get some more insight in to how you relay information back and forth with regards to traffic and road conditions. You guys are amazing, and so well co-ordinated too. Obviously there's lots of training [and more] to make this team. Even if there's the occasional few[!] who appear to either disregard traffic commands being signalled to them, do you retrospectively caution these people? [Just wondering]

Kudos to all the people involved, Police was efficient, road users were compliant (as they should if they have normal human empathy) and I hope the patient got in-time to were he/she was supposed to get. Brilliant demonstration of Police/Citizen efficiency.
P.S.: I just wish I was more fluent in Deutch so that I can can understand what they are saying in the midst of the action. Other than that, they did an incredible job. And the other road users all understood that they had to move away because of an emergency.

@@Sj3ffry omdat ze dat leren als ze hun rijbewijs willen halen? Dit leer je gewoon. Als je zelf niet oud genoeg bent om je rijbewijs te halen moet je gewoon je smoel houden.
Ik ben het met beiden eens. Wij maken dingen mee dat er bewust anders gehandeld wordt, die gevallen zijn inderdaad invorderingswaardig. Echter meestal is het niet bewust maar meer uit onkunde, angst, onduidelijke aanwijzingen of een miscommunicatie.
@@Leon-ug2lp nou nou, leer je met rijles? Ligt er maar aan waar je woont. Bij ons in de Achterhoek nog nooit een Ambulance begeleid zien worden door motoragenten. Wat niet betekent dat wij nooit in de drukke steden in het westen van Nederland komen als we eenmaal ons rijbewijs hebben.
