NOT TO DISCOUNT THIS LECTURE BUT
VASARI was a propagandist for the established state during the end of republic in florence. he worked for the 1st duke of florance, COSIMO MEDICI who abandoned GALILEO to roman inquisition he is not a good sourse for facts of artists. if you want to kearn about lives of artist read letters of the period
i'm not sure if vasari was responsible for da vinci labeled a sodomite or homosexual but ROME found it convient to purpotrate this lie to discount his anti=church scientific work.
yes we all know michaelangelo love of men but da vinci spent 30 yrars working on mona lisa...evidence now show that she was mother of da vinci 4 children with duke of milano widow after duke was murdered. they spent 15 yrs together
castiglione came from the town of his name near milano. da vinci came from town vinci n was not of noble birth but a bastard, why he kept his children a secret
raphael died before da vinci began his anatomy work in rome. i also read that castiglione based his model of the COURTIER on the character of Raphael who was antithesis of machivelli the PRINCE. he based his characters on corrupt popes, cardinals n medici bankers. POPE JULIUS EL TERRIBLE was truly a sodomite THEY were tortured by church....much the same way as director of FBI J EDGAR HOOVER persecuted gays while he was gay himself.

True, it is my understanding Vasari made up a lot of what he wrote and should not be taken seriously. Not a good source to find out anything about the artists, although I would love to have a compendium like his, but his is sadly fiction.

The prof was perceptibly static and inexpressive in body language (posture, gesture, eyes, stance, and above all the the use of voice, tone, pause and style). I missed the sprezzatura in the presentation most which was blocked by a series of avoidable slides on the screen.
