You are completely wrong, trombones are not playing this part at all. I'm a professional low horn, and i can guarantee you that this range and power is totally achievable on french horn. When you're not good enough to be able to play with such power in midlow range doesn't mean nobody can. You've probably just never met good enough low horns.

that range is horrible to play with good volume on horn, from d 1 line below the staff to the f below that is absolute garbage to try to play
