These kids have more cash to drop on cards than I do now as a 45 year old technology manager making six figures. When I was their age I felt rich if I had five dollars to buy five packs of 1990 Upper Deck baseball.

I work as a Asset investigator for one of the largest companies in the world and I am not walking around with 1500 dollar cards to off. My best card is a 03 topps lebron psa 8 lol. But i'm also a widowed father of two little kids.

Geoff being pretty smart with the PSA crossover grades. Gets the knowledge of the cross grades for trade value without having to get crushed on up charges on high end cards

What a vid! Now 54 years old, I collected heavy in the early 80's and throughout the 90's. I started collecting again in the early 2000's. All my buddies put their sport cards in the spokes of their bicycles. Not me. Mine went into protective holders. I recently started going through my cards and was amazed at the potential worth I had. More importantly, these young men in this vid are clean cut American boys. No weird piercings or body art, and their only agenda is the love of collecting. Nice job, sir!

Great content!!! I loved watching all these trades from the weekend:). You might wana warn ppl they have no control over the title of their listing when using the eBay vault. Plus eBay is very poor at listing the cards with the proper titles and info to make the most money at auction! It’s very unfortunate because it would be a great service if that was not the case! Maybe you could use your influence to convince them to give the card owner a little more control of their card when listing with the eBay vault.

Those trying to knock you on taking some calculated risk on Ridder are too boring. I always grab a few Bowman 1st’s of players I think have the possibility to do well with time. It adds a fun element to it and you’re tracking someone you may or may not know too much about beforehand. I know the Burrow’s, Herbert’s, and Mahomes have peaked for the time-being.. So I like the Ridder mid-floor, high ceiling investment! You were awesome at the show.

Some of y'll might not like geoff but you can't deny him putting in the work. He was at trade night with his son at the hyatt until the late hours after putting in work at the show as well, but that isn't shown. I just want people to know that behind the scenes he puts in the work y'll, is always friendly, even when his voice is gone, he's willing to take pics and have a conversation.

I want to get back into card collecting and trading. I'm 50 but don't know where to start without spending an arm and a leg. I haven't been part of the hobby since the late 80's and early nineties. I would like for it to be a hobby again but also a way to make some extra money apart from my regular job. Any tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

We are gonna hear the biggest losing cards after the nfl season and ridder is gonna be that guy that loses a lot of money for these people picking up his cards. 30k for his card is a joke
Could be! High risk for sure. But T Law and Fields have cards selling for upwards of $100k, so who knows?
Falcons have he second easiest schedule in the league behind the Saints and the gap between the falcons and #3 is huge. I am not on the Ridder hype train at all, but I expect the falcons to be a borderline playoff team with how easy their schedule is so that should help. Would definitely move the card either mid season during a Falcons win streak, or after the season. Unless Ridder just shocks the world I wouldn't hold that thing long term.
No one thought Josh Allen was going to be a star. Jalen Hurts either. Until they were. The list of surprise QBs goes on and on. You never know .
🤣🤣🤣, no one picked Allen to be a star. Um apparently the Bills did otherwise they wouldn’t have picked him 7th overall. Plus he struggled for awhile before the light finally came on.
Nothing about these high end cards is unique…. A Downtown, PSA 10, a low numbered auto. Honestly to me it’s like the cards are just the same. No uniqueness in cards anymore, no game worn jerseys. Hobby is at an interesting point rn
And that’s why no one makes a dime in this hobby. It’s just one ultramodern piece of junk for the next. When I would set up at shows it was nothing but selling. I’ve got enough junk that I didn’t need someone else’s too.
Thank you for the enjoyable content. I PC Wander and I would have passed even if I could afford that card. His auto has gotten pretty bad compared to when he was a prospect and that’s not even his TC 1/1, it was the update one.

Do young kids trade or buy anything other than football or basketball cards?
Yes baseball, soccer, wrestling , and Pokemon/ dungeon dragon cards

If the red Prizm kobe sold for 15k last year. It's easy to assume it's probably worth around 8k-10k right now.

@@entropysmith6965 average player? Basically every player has dropped. Lebron is not an average player and his cards have fallen. Due to macroeconomic not player performance. Some players have gone up like elly de la cruz. But the examples are very few.

If ridder pans out though you will have the last laugh. A lot of people don’t think ridder will do anything, I think these cards won’t hold value like it should.
He would have to have a career better than Brady for any profit as Geoff is setting the way too high market on Ridder cards.

Crazy this guys said he wouldn’t buy Mahonmes anymore because of the ceiling but Is buying Ridders. Just doesn’t make sense and this is who the hobby listens too. Almost no eye test to these players they just buy into the rookie process

You are very correct on that. I just see it as a lot of people look up to him and his moves. That’s not exactly his problem though and his love and passion is always on point which is exciting. To eachs own in this hobby that’s why it’s awesome just big prices for a guy who had a 36.9 QBR before those two touchdowns.
The best thing about this man is his love for the kids. He gave that Josh Allen away. He paid the kid to take it.
