Another type of foam board is PVC coated from "Quill," made in China. I've tried using an 8mm thick board, with a 1mm PVC layer on both sides. Problems: #1: the PVC is very hard, brittle and difficult to cut with any blade. I've ended up using a fine toothed jigsaw and a lot of mucking about. #2: PVC layer is mostly smooth but has imperfections which show up when print is mounted using spray adhesive. #3: PVC & foam layers can also come apart near corners, if not handled very carefully. I'll use up the supply I have - but never use it again. Paper surfaced foam board appears a better option. Next time! george
