It wouldn't necessarily make sense to have this as global, unless all your models have the same pot on the same channel. There is just a global toggle switch on the special function.
@@karstenhoysagk9448 you can set the special function to do the reading part as global. But, if you want the reading to be 0 - 100%, you would need to replicate that mixer on every model. I also use the red slider for volume. But I don’t worry about where it is, just if it is loud enough.
Hi Darren all of this works fine in the setup until I get to the point in special functions of play value it’s not in the list I only have play audio any ideas?
Hi Darren I’m new to FRSKY…coming from Spektrum. I have an X20S and I’ve set my rates onto a 3 position switch….can I have the radio read out “high rates’ ‘mid rates’ and ‘low rates’ corresponding to switch position. Or do I need to do this on a PC and program it into my transmitter. Kind regards Geoff
Sure Geoff, that’s no problem. You will need sounds for the call-outs. I have a video on creating your own; which also has details about other packs you can download (th-cam.com/video/2AcB_jrFFK4/w-d-xo.html). With the sounds on the transmitter, it’s a case of creating some special functions so that when the switch is in the appropriate position it plays the high, mid, or low rates track. I’ve had a couple of people ask about this. So I will make a video on it soon.
The only docs I can find for the simulators are here github.com/FrSkyRC/ETHOS-Feedback-Community/wiki/Ethos-simulators. But, there is plenty of information mission. So I’ll add a request for the document to be updated.
This is what I’m really liking about ETHOS. Simple requests get answered really quickly. github.com/FrSkyRC/ETHOS-Feedback-Community/wiki/Ethos-Simulator---Keyboard-Shortcuts
Is there a way to call out throttle changes / values? 90% of planes I use INAV so throttle is in the OSD. Also fly a Volantex Trainstar with a KOPILOT (FPV). I never know how much throttle I'm giving it and the prop on it is super quiet so you can't heart it much beyond 200 feet. I keep seeing everyone use a "curve" for POTs.,,,,,,,,,,,probably not a a good idea for throttle LOL. I can some what get it to work but not really.
Using the curve is not a problem as you are using a dummy channel. The actual throttle is output to channel 3. Whereas the you would have the curve for the readout on another mix, which uses channel 3 as the input. The readout with the curve would output to an unused channel like 64. The value of channel 64 is what is read by the special function.
Thanks Darren! Perfect
Glad it helped :)
Nice one Darren👍
Thanks John
Get well soon👍
Thank you Brent 👍🏻
Hope you get better, thank you for your videos
Thank you Carlos
I've got the Rona too brutha. Hope you feel well soon and great video.
Ah that sucks Chris. I hope you feel better soon.
Take care, hope you get over Covid quickly
Thanks Eoin :)
Thanks, Darren! One more awesome content.
Thanks Silvio 👍🏻
Genius!
You’re too kind. But thanks 👍🏻
Another great tutorial Darren. Would be nice to be able to make this function global.

@@MrD I have the red slider as volume control, so like for it read out percentage as I move it. That would be nice to have on each model.

Thanks Daren. Can we also ear the Time it in instead of having a look at the screen thanks to a boton at the back for example ? Thanks from France!
That hasn't been implemented in ETHOS.
