  • In a fast-paced world, where young professionals are seeking high-end jobs in corporate world abroad, this IITian couple had other plans in mind.
Arpit Maheshwari and Sakshi Bhatia, computer science engineer couple chose to give up their high-paying jobs in the US to settle down in India. In 2018, Arpit and Sakshi decided to start a completely new life closer to nature and chose to set up a natural farm ‘Jeevantika’ on outskirts of Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain.

Hope OBCs St Scs and minorities will now get space in Universities to complete their education and then correct the historical injustice created by the upper caste parasites. We must encourage these people to come back and do farming, clean their own toilets, grow food for others and just stay in Nature. Leave the cities to St SC OBC and minorities. Full congrats to Maheswari (Brahmin) and Bhatia (kayasth) for taking this excellent decision. Hope they never change their minds. Ghugeji you are very right. Upper caste should come back. More power to people like you! Countries like the US are vastly overrated and culturally insular! There is no reason why a large majority of the people would want to stay in the USA and deny themselves cultural expression for the sake of jobs in corporate environment that really limits our progress for the most part! At the end of the day, be where you are happy and do the things you love to do, as long as we are able to support ourselves financially!

Look forward to all those Indians in the US, mostly upper caste who are still scrounging around for Green Cards, returning like this in droves to work in rural areas and farms.

I see lot of negative comments particularly when people go to foreign countries and return to India after quitting their jobs. Life is a journey and some get good opportunities and they use them. Learn lesson and give back to community. It’s their life and they have the right to decide what they want to. They are just sharing! They look happy. What’s wrong? Going to IIT shows their talent and education is acquire knowledge and to use it. Not just to get a job.

Tech jobs pay well but suck. I’m in my late 30s who had a heart attack recently. I now take 8 tablets a day and sit in my chair 12 hours because Indian bosses want to sign in sign out hours that exceed 12 hrs to showcase this to their clients. That’s like flying long haul flight everyday. I’m glad this couple chose life over money.
