- Everyone is eager to know how we started Beejom, so here is the happy serendipitous story of how it all began. The whole journey has been a great learning experience and given us a life's purpose which is beyond words.

Agriculture is the topmost profession, then comes business and then comes salaried job it is the least rated job. Though every job has its own importance. Hence the modern world is leading people to become the least class of people. Therefore modernization has an exposure to the world but it indeed is destroying our culture which is incomparable to any thing in this world
Respected Aparna Mam,
Huge respect for u. Its been 2 days and I am continuously watching different interviews and documentaries of yours on TH-cam. We do have 5.5 acres of agricultural land in the outskirts of Pune. We grow sugarcane, wheat, bajra, chana, arhar, moong, peanuts, corn, onions and garlic. But we have never ever used natural & organic methods that build up such a beautiful ecosystem. We don’t have a single animal because my mother-in-law feels that there is nobody to look after. I am a complete urban girl born & brought up in Mumbai & then in Pune. I married & came here in Deodaithan which falls in the district of Ahmednagar but is 1 hour away from Pune city. I never took interest in farming, gardening & agriculture but always was very careful & empathetic towards the environment & Mother Earth. But Corona times have changed me completely and made me more empathetic towards climate change, house waste management & I have developed genuine interest in gardening. I am managing the waste of my house all by myself and making it into compost. I always wondered how I can spread this message to a larger audience so that everyone follows these simple methods at home. I am hugely inspired by the way you have devoted your life to these amazing animals and your farm. I want to do the same thing. I want a Franchise of Beejom so that I can amplify your message and the way of life to people here down south. Many enthusiasts from Pune & Mumbai often go for small trips on weekends. They are always in search of new places to visit and also in search of organically grown farm produce. I know a lady who works for stray animals. I can give shelter to her animals in my farm. There are many commercially run dairies in the outskirts of Pune who usually don’t want old cows & baby bull calves, they even don’t breed bulls. I want to give shelter to them. I think with all the hardwork that you have put in the past 5-6years, you have gained recognition & opening your franchise here would definitely make permaculture a way of life. I will love to visit your farm first and then apply your methods here. It will be a great collaboration.

@@prajaktaraaaje2400 the idea is to start something. However the small step it maybe like making a compost at a corner of the land.. and then move on slowly by observing. You can do a two week permaculture design course if interested or work with any farm for sometime like I did. I just did for my interest as I don't have any farm land. You can also watch some permaculture videos or read books. The idea is to be unique and different and not copy someone. There is nothing right or wrong. It's all about experiencing

I wish I could achieve atleast some part of it. I always had a dream of seting up a farm like bejom did, from my college days. It's inspiring and made me believe that there are a lot of like minded people out there, putting efforts to revive mother nature and make it a better place of coexistence along with other species as well as a place for healthy existence of future generations 🙏🙏

How beautifully Aparana has created a symbiotic ecosystem. Not only she is catering to the nature, stray animals, poor farmers, their families, she is making them productive to prove a lifestyle that is rooted and that can be sustained. When you google the word "Permaculture" it's gives you results that it's permanent agriculture and sometimes also referred as permanent culture. I have seen hundreds of videos about permanent agriculture aka permaculture on TH-cam but yours is the one which qualifies for Permanent culture. Because you built complete ecosystem and created community that believes in the One straw revolution. As per my view permanent agriculture is the first step and permanent culture is final step. 🙏🙏

Never thought farming can be so interesting. and I am sure not many know our traditional methods of farming were so scientific. It's a shame that we have left the most scientific ways of farming and adopted the stupidest farming methods of modern times which are not only expensive but also dangerous for the health and indigenous economy.
