I have to try these. I don't have egg mold but I do have a mold when I make ravioli it has round circles. How do I get candy out mold? Do I tap it like I would get ravioli out of mold?

What material is your mold made of? Is it silicone, plastic, or metal? If it's silicone, you simply push it out. If it's plastic you can tap the edge of the mold and if the chocolate has hardened properly (is tempered properly if using pure chocolate) the candies will fall out of the mold. Metal is the most challenging. If it's non-stick, the chocolate will easily fall out. If it's aluminum, you might have a difficult time getting the chocolate to release.

I'm sorry to hear you had trouble with making the homemade marshmallow filling. If the marshmallows was too firm to pipe it was either heated for too long and to too high of a temperature or it was cooled too long. When you cook the sugar syrup, if it gets too hot it will create firmer marshmallows. You might want to test your candy thermometer to see if it is accurate. Boil some water and see if the thermometer reads 202 degrees F or 100 degrees C. If not, you may be able to calibrate the thermometer so that it is accurate. Or you may need a new one.
Also, if you allowed the marshmallow to whip and cool for too long it will begin to firm up which will make it difficult to pipe.
I hope you give it another try!
