Now I do not know how it is with this new vacuum cleaner / cleaner safety works, here in Sweden some people did a test if it was possible to hack an older model of this brand. It took 30 minutes to hack and then they could see everything the unit saw with the camera that was in the apartment
@@DarkKnight-bi7cr You may be able to do it, but think of a family home where everyone is interested in technology. Then the thief can see everything in front of the camera via the camera on this robot vacuum cleaner, I do not want someone I know to end up in a situation where the home is almost empty and the family has to suffer hard
These devices primarily rely on lidar for the room mapping so is a bit bizarre having a camera. That said most reading this and self included are watching on a device with our precise location and front facing cameras, not to ignore all privacy concerns but just saying maybe bigger fish to fry and more systematic issues.
I've seen many reviews of dreame and Roborock S7 MaxV ultra. Finally I chose Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. It hits. LDS navigation, AI, remote viewing, 2-way audio, empty wash fill dock, I love it. And I think the vibrarising mopping system is much better for a mother, lol.
Robot vaccums have been around since ..I don't know, 2016 or 2019. And if I'm not mistaken, the self cleaning ones have been around for the past year or two. Why do you sound like you didn't know about it till now? This one's got some nice design touches & features. But otherwise, they're all capable of mapping out the floor plan & creating zones. They all avoid objects / back away from stairs / carpet:floor recognition & they all dock themselves. And as far as I know, all the self cleaning ones also mop.
Lew is one of the best if not the best. He isn't entirely biased towards a particular brand. His views are such a way that it gives way for the public to decide. Unlike MKBHD who always wanna push a narrative. That dude could do a smartphone head to head between an iPhone SE2 and a Galaxy S22 Ultra and find a way for the iPhone to win
The design is great. Very neat and tech. I may buy one if the price is lower. I heard the vibrate mop system of Roborock is better than the spin mop system. You may get a Roborock cleaner to compare.
Great job! I have watched many comparison videos about Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra and Ecovacs X1 OMNI on youtube, both of them have their own advantages, but Roborock has better APP functions and performs a little better. The design of ultra is also very cool!!!
I have a deebot (not this specific model). Very happy with it except 2 things: Sometimes it may stop on a carpet and complains that a sensor is dirty and it needs cleaned. This is not true, it's just the carpet fabric which comes too close to the IR (edge) sensors. Even worse is that once this error occurs, you can't do anything to solve it (remotely). So if you are on holiday and it gets stuck..it will wait for you to come back and move it. Second thing is related to the app: sometimes you cannot split a room using an horizontal line. The software complains that "you have to split only the selected area" even if you are doing it correctly.
If your house is just a single floor, you can cover its anti-drop sensors by white paper, this way it won't get stuck on the carpet. Also it will work on a black color carpet too.
@@navneetchhabra Good idea. What I tried so far was to put like small brushe on the edge of each IR sensor so they would keep the carpet "fur" at distance. It works but not always. But your idea is better. I didn't think at that :) Thanks, I'll try !
Cool! I love the comprehensive functions of the cleaner. Well, compared to the similar robots on the current market, it seems the Ultra robot from Roborock is more precise in obstacle avoidance. It could really help my messy rooms.
Hello. Hair gets stuck in the pivot point wheel and it's kind of a pain in the butt to clean out. If it was possible to somehow quickly and easily remove the wheel in order to clean the hair out, that would be great. The wheel is little and obviously it's spinning around a lot. And all of the hairs that are lying around on the floor then get swept up and get caught around the wheels axle.
Make no mistake, this isn't for cleaning the house so to speak, but rather to do the upkeep and little maintenance. It will not scrub your nasty ass kitchen floors
Well...then try to properly maintain your kitchen floor so it does not get nasty? Unless you got a dog or cat pissing on the floor this robot is more than enough to make it clean.
@İsveç'te bi Türk it has carpet detection and it avoids the carpet when mop is on. It doesnt lift the mop to go on carpet when mop is on to avoid contamination.
I have one, in reality, the water flow is not good enough to mop effectively so it doesn't mop that well, especially if the floor has uneven levels like most of my old wood floors do. I've also had some issues with it emptying water as the seals on the water containers have very basic seals that are prone to not sealing properly and causing suction to fail. Ecovacs support is great but they take a while to solve problems. I'm not giving up just yet as I can see it could be good, the voice assistant is garbage, and would be better to use Alexa or Google but that's life I guess.
my issue is always that the mopping just sorta... wets the floor. if theres no rinsing or sucking of the water off the floor, was anything cleaned? or just redistributed? I guess this does at least clean the pad at the end of the session... but it would be like mopping the floor by just sprinkling more water in front of the mop when it gets too dry.
Roborock is definitely a bit better, got both but the so called VibraRise feature is missing on Ecovacs side, also on the navigation side he doesnt detect automatically the floor. But AI and quality is very good. Yiko is also not responding to every command it should do, annoying feature for me.
Yes. I think it is really wrong to say that it is the "only one on the market" when there actually is at least three more, and the Roborock really looks like the best one.
