I thought you were talking about singleplayer missions - Original Operation Flashpoint's mission where it all goes wrong and (it seems) there are multiple endings to it that branch the story off always stayed on my mind, though it's a bit of a distant memory for me now since it's been many years ago. In my case I ended up stranded and alone in a forest, hunted by helicopters and squads of patrols as I had to sneak from tree line to tree line, cross open fields while trying desperately to scan for enemies in the far distance, for what felt like hours until I reached my objective.

Escape from Chernarus for Arma 2 was some of the most fun my friend and I ever had in a session of this kind of game ever. Just you and a friend, settings for scaling down to that player count.. the entire goal: fight your way from a cage where the guard drops dead with a single random Loadout to loot, then try to find gear and vehicles and fight your way to the extraction on the coast which is then ambushed as you flee out to sea, with MGs on the back of boats. The patrol and base system was so cool, sneaking around taking out patrols and looting them, avoiding tanks and APC patrols
I like the option between having big battle game modes and smaller ones as well. The good thing ab arma is that it is also modable to hell and back, and there were so many mods in arma 3 from big team war modes and small team sized quick plays
my favourite thing was when we had like 8 players and we were playing KP Liberation in ArmA 3. We had american loadouts but also had some missions where we used only russian mods. We then got a helicopter to drop us off alongside but kind of far from the shore of a small town we wanted to "liberate" while we ourselves were inside of a little submarine, keeping contact with the helicopter over TFAR radio. We were equipped with swim suits, under water radios and under water guns with suppressors. Then we left the submarine and dived towards the shore still for like 10+ minutes before silently leaving the water and taking out any CSAT we came across. of course it didn't last too long until they got alerted eventually and we had a firefight that broke out of course in the end we could've done it by just having one person get close enough to trigger enemy spawns and then have one or two 30mm american freedom birds BRRRT everywhere but that's not fun
I played this mission for about two hours solo on console a few weeks ago dying and dying again. You know what? I still had a ton of fun. The quick spawns and the smaller design really helped a lot. Also, whoever programmed that grenade launcher enemy on the top of the hill is an evil, evil person! Also, also, well done. I now have a phobia for the sound of a grenade launcher. The AI is insanely aggressive and I would like my eyes replaced with theirs because holy hell can they see a lot better than I can.

I tried Squad but it lacked some of the features I enjoyed, such as the zoom and drawing on the map. Sometimes it was just difficult to continue enjoying the game when it's running at 6fps and the ai can easily see you through even a dense forest or maybe shoot you through a wall. Unfortunately, the jank runs deep in ARMA 3's engine. Horrible physics and getting ARMA'd, weird controls, lots of menus, atrocious performance, struggling to make things work in the editor, bad base-game ai, and many other issues. I was stuck with a game that I loved but every time I would tell it, it would just kick me in the balls. I'd be willing to forgive many of the flaws if the damned game ran at a good framerate! I'd even settle for 30fps if it was always consistent.
Ive always preferred the basic look of Arma1 and OPFlash. When Arma 3 came along with its glitzy, busy, complicated UI i was put off. I hope they keep the basic UI of Reforger, moving forward. Graphics aren't everything- out of necessity i would play Arma1 at the lowest settings, as long as the frames were smooth, i still felt part of the environment. A few clicks from booting up the game to a quick skirmish was great. Not to mention that fantastic looking green foliage! Thats my wishlist anyway. Ill definitely be checking this one out.

Yeah, I saw the notification pop up in the middle of writing a comment, and by the time I finished writing the video got deleted. It’s a shame, I saw the title was about that RTX Video Super Resolution feature that nobody’s talking about. Doing local real-time upscaling on your GPU on browser videos instead of having to rely on a TV or a streaming box has huge potential and could greatly mitigate the threat of TH-cam making 4K a Premium feature. It could also have potential outside of browsers as well, like upscaling FMVs from games modified by RTX Remix. I would have liked to hear what Philips had in mind for the video before it was taken down and not reuploaded.

Im feeling so sad to know that all the UT franchise will be gone forever and only be avaible to those that had the chance to know it through the remaining physical copies or torrents... It's so ridiculous do delete them after all they brought to the genres they belong to and the industry in general... they claim that they did this bc of some "online-services" they provide but the games are dead online except 99, 2004 and UT4, and in that list, only UT4 has some server hosting features... all the others are private servers. I don't really care about multiplayer, since people can play in any way they want, I'm more worried about the AI, which used to be horrifyingly bad in the previous games. Arma 3 had all the mods and ingredients needed to make any WW1, WW2, Cold war, modern or futuristic battle with hundreds and thousands of units and allow you to enjoy the show, but the AI ruined it and you had to make a million waypoints, scripts and AI enhancing mods to make the AI fight as it should.

I was stuck with a game that I loved but every time I would tell it, it would just kick me in the balls.
I'd be willing to forgive many of the flaws if the damned game ran at a good framerate! I'd even settle for 30fps if it was always consistent.
Man this music is nostalgic...
Typhoon Rising was dope af
Ive always preferred the basic look of Arma1 and OPFlash. When Arma 3 came along with its glitzy, busy, complicated UI i was put off. I hope they keep the basic UI of Reforger, moving forward. Graphics aren't everything- out of necessity i would play Arma1 at the lowest settings, as long as the frames were smooth, i still felt part of the environment. A few clicks from booting up the game to a quick skirmish was great. Not to mention that fantastic looking green foliage! Thats my wishlist anyway. Ill definitely be checking this one out.
I think Reforger UI is in many places, like the editor, needlessly simplified. It reeks of console port.

Finally someone else says how this is OFP2 and not arma4 alpha. As an OFP veteran of back in the day for many years. This is how I felt seeing reforger.
(kudos for the original ofp soundtrack playing in the background the entire video)
I think this doesnt deserve to be called OFP2. Its barely playable (even the official game modes) and as Philip said, theres literally almost no content in the game.
Considering u like playing short missions for few players have u tried the Arma 3 Apex COOP missions? I had alot of fun with them and would love to see u play them.
Wait... Operation Flashpoint was the games that turned into ARMA? Holy shitballs. I didn't know that and i played OF for years o.o
“Enemy man. 200 meters. Front.”….it’s the same! Lol!
The music 😌
Just wish we could get a reforge of all the older single player missions
Cold War
Red hammer and resistance 😢
I love flash point! 😫
Babe wake up, Philip uploaded...
OMG philip we lav u
What happened to the newest video?
What was he using? Something like DLDSR or NIS?
@@hohohodrigues The title was "Upscaling
any video with RTX Super Resolution?" so I guess he's talking about the new stuff Nvidia has talked about at CES this year.
Finally a decent and updated net code, it's almost shameful that Bohemia shipped ARMA III with the net code from 2009 ARMA II.
OFP forever fam
Ah the broken ladder on church! Sadly, that's on me. But don't worry, it will be fixed soon™
Do more ARMA stuff, it's great.
Given by how you play the game, have you considered trying out Insurgency Sandstorm's PvE?
he'd probably hate those no-shooting BS areas
Unrelated to this video Epic Games is deleting all Unreal Tournament Games. Please talk about it, you re the only decent content creator that can help this decision to get reversed. All the games will be shut down on january 24 and they re already not avaiable anymore for purchase or download (for UT4)
@@2kliksphilip I know but still maybe they might just make an in-between decision, do smth for the franchise in the future (have them on EGS ?) or smth.
Just having people noticing this can maybe influence somehow the fate this game will have.
I believe in the butterfly effect and the simple fact that this comment was seen means so much to me.
Thanks again fo reading me, whatever you choose to do
I can't wait until dayz SA comes to the Arma reforger engine
The sweet thing is you chuck in some Mods and still play combatops, granted you're limited to weapon upgrades but it's still sweet
I can't wait for friendly ai commanding, me and my buddies love getting attached to random ai only for them to get melted by machine gun fire later and break our hearts in the process.
0:55 HOLY SHIT!!!
you can hit a car and not explode.... or bug back and forth at mach 42
.
truly groundbreaking technology
I couldn't get the multiplayer working in this for a month after launch and then I stopped trying. I wonder if it would work now.
Arma is finally on the dayz engine its lit
Arma Reforger is a techdemo just like Ryse:Son of Rome
i still got Opertarion flash point on CD like it was new never opend it
I agree with you.
I hope they make a good campaign again as well.
