I have a full size bronco on 37, Dana 44 converted to 8 lug. I have 79 coil buckets and 4” springs giving me 6” lift and I have 6” super lift springs. My wheels are 4.5” back spacing and there where tucked inside the fender, didn’t like the look, so I have 2” spacer in the rear and 1.5 in front. My tires hit the lower part of the front fender at full flex and the axle is 2” forward
You may already have done it, but Desolate Motorsports makes a Saginaw steering conversion for the Bronco that will eliminate all that cooling line and you can even do a ram option with it as well. Totally plug and play, so you may want to check that out so you don’t have to fabricate something. They also have a solid axle conversion kit too, though you seem to be have the fabrication side down on your own. Good luck.
I’ll have to check out their kit and see what the cooling side is. The saginaw is harder to piece together on the 7.3 as it was only in the diesel vans. I like their solid axle kit, but this is a budget build and that kit is baller!
@@Chasing518 totally didn’t think of the fact it’s a diesel, my bad. Great watching the progress, just finished doing the front suspension on my 96 today. You make me feel bad, you did way more work in a week than I did in a month lol.
Congratulations on getting picked she’s going to be a awesome rig when it’s done I just did a SAS on my 95 bronco make’s such a difference all for the better keep killing it man !
Went with factory ford radius arms and drop brackets got the trac bar and brackets from Jeff’s bronco don’t use that set up better off making your own .
Heck ya!! It’s gonna be cool to watch you with all the other TH-camrs I watch. I found your channel while looking for ideas for my own obs build. Love the 7.3 chase truck/tow pig. I’ve been watching ever since. Congrats!!
Awesome update. Learning a lot from you. The rivet removal technique is great. Your property is so cool with all the toys and spare parts! Inspirational for me to get after it with my F250 OBS. Deadlines are great motivation to get it done!
Thank you! We lived in 2 travel trailers for almost 4 years while we built this property to where it is today. I’ll try to incorporate more tech tips in future videos.
@@Chasing518 that would be great when you have the time. I’d like to see your parts truck collection too. You should reach out to Joel at Blowing Diesel Designs, he is in AZ. He’s also on TH-cam. Great guy! Custom fabs stuff for the Obs family
I have to ask. Would it have been less work to modify the frame on Sideswipe and swap the Bronco body onto it? Either way, it's an awesome build. So many details to grind out.
Normally I would say yes, but considering the shape Sideswipe was in, using the frame was a no go. Check it out here. Can You Drive a Totaled Truck?! th-cam.com/video/koJJ6xKkZsE/w-d-xo.html
Your 7.3 swap was what caught my eye and why I started watching your videos.
Awesome! Well hopefully I can keep your attention until we get this machine wheeling next month!!
Finally...a cool channel, in the format I like....that likes Fords. Rock on and good luck.
Thank you! If there are any filming/editing/content suggestions, please let me know! Very new at all this.
Enjoyed the video and family involvement too. Can’t wait to see the evolution of Red, White, and Bluey.
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
You are amazing stand up guy. You got this. I can’t wait to meet you someday and rest of the onx crew. Go Bluey
Awe thanks! Gonna be a busy next few weeks!

Congrats on getting picked ! Runs 12s and just use a taller shock mount so you can make it lower than your pickup.
Thank you and the height is just to have up travel, was thinking of maybe limiting this rig’s performance a touch
This is my favorite build on the OnX Build Challenge

Max droop , minimum lift. Congratulations on the wildcard
@@matthoward923 thank you! As a California “moto guy”, it is hard for me to ignore the value of up-travel in our terrain, but we’ll see.
Looks like 1995-up Dana 60, based on the ball joints and caliper mounting
Bingo! Good eye on caliper mounts
Might have to do the Nissan version of this
@@mci.raceworks i support this decision

I hope so too!
@Chasing518 ironically I'm a plumber-- and yeah I am shocked it lasted .
LCOG is always better but has its own unique challenges
Yep. Here in California most of my wheeling involves high speed desert, so up-travel is always nice.
