What do you think about functional overreaching? Intentionally overtraining, then backing off and having recovery. Have you tried it? What kind of training schedule did you use? Can you do a video on overreaching?

Dude people always tell me get depth on squats but half squats sound so much better why would anyone get depth
depth squat are great, and also half squat. the reason you have different approaches to one exercise, is because people squat for different reasons and results.
a sprinter will do half squat beacuse the squat mimics the sprinting mechanics much better than a ful depth one.
But full depth squat are great for strengthening the leg muscles in a full range of motion, and also strengthening the knee and tendons, And also improving mobillity.
for power and explosiveness do half squat. But dont be afraid to add full depth squat in your training.

I’ve been doing slower movements to build my foundation over the past few weeks. Now I’m doing faster movements and implementing sprints and pylos. Is this a good approach?

Does 1.3x my body weight mean that (just for the sake of easy calculations) if I weigh 100kg then I should aim for adding 30kg in weight? Or is it that I should aim to do this movement with 130kg + my body weight?

Reverse lunges are actually a great alternative or just regular decently wide split stance squat

You can't train strength on high reps low weight. Strength is primarily a neural adaptation. Low reps, very high weight (compared to your one rep max) is the only way to get stronger, other than increasing muscle mass (hypertrophy training)

I probably meant to say single leg half and quarter squats , and the goal isn’t always to isolate muscles, it’s to train joint specific angles that mimic acceleration and sprinting since research shows that those type of lifts have highest transfer to for sprinting and jumping
