The old commentary is nuts, he can kick the 4 while the 4 was glued on the rail lol

Here's the thing; we think they have the same view we have. Often they have a small monitors, they're level with the table (having to judge the angles with depth perception) and every other tournament -- have to deal with a new set of colors. Yes, 2, 6, 7, & 8 in a standard set can be really hard to tell apart on video ... but changing the colors all the time makes people look foolish. Or? Maybe he blundered (I haven't seen the moment you're talking about). But often it's anything but the most optimal circumstance from which to offer analysis. Hell, even on video there're optical illusions. The angles can look a lot steeper, etc. I wish they just lightened the older colors without fundamentally changing which they are. But producers and investors always think they're a gimmick or ball-color away from pool becoming mainstream.
Okay, I've seen it now: Imagine if Danny were sitting level with the table, and lined up with the head string. If that's where he was sitting it'd be easy to read the gap between the rail and 4 wrong ... and if Mark were sitting on either side he have the angle to see it was on the rail (or maybe Mark looked on the monitor and Danny was trying to look only at the table). Because the thing I'm sure about is that Danny understands at least as much as you do ... and the reason he made the wrong call was because he couldn't see the gap. Or maybe you'll run into him some time and you can set up prop bets with him, who knows.

I saw all the pros at Hardtimes on a Sunday. Dennis was the strongest looking for action from Alex

One of my new favorite matches. Those first two were nuts, and once uptable, the last was a nail biter. That travelling kick scratch of Orcullo's was both brutal and heartbreaking. Like 'no good deed goes unpunished', apparently, at times, no good shot does either. That outcome was really relevant to the match outcome.

Great match. Don't know if anyone noticed but Tony Stewart was in the upper left corner of the vid at the end, sitting next to another great shooter. I didn't know he was a fan of the game?

@@JosephCartaphilusThe balls were examined before the shot by the referee, who observed the shot and called it good. Did you consider the possibility that the balls were frozen?

I really wish they would go back and redo the commentary without Danny D.

I really love Danny Diliberto.... legendary player and formerly a phenom commentator. But he is quite beyond his prime. It would be wise for him to step away.

I love how everything thing the old dude would predict, the opposite would happen 🤣 and then he would conclude with "good shot"...🎱👻

Wow, Danny is out of it. When Frost cut the 7 ball he said he cut it badly, when in reality he barely missed it, the 7 ball caught the point of the corner pocket and hung on the lip, that is not cutting it badly, that is cutting it almost perfect, he was only off by a hair.

Sorry Mark, left-handers can break to either pocket just like righties can. Yes, there are going to be certain shots that are tough to reach, no matter which side you choose. If that were a real thing, do you really think a player of Frost’s caliber wouldn’t know? That’s bc one side does not hold any distinct advantage over the other
